Chapter 418: Chapter 418: Presence Of The Fallen

Disturbing a man’s happy time was a crime deserving of death. Both he and Naledi got dressed instantly.

He left his chest bare with only a long white coat floating behind him. Unfortunately since web secretion was yet to be upgraded.

Clothing he created through it was not up to par, in a fight involving people of his level, those clothes would be easily ripped to shreds.

Of course that was inconsequential considering anybody strong enough to push him that far would be faced by his full strength.

Meaning Ved would be in his dragon form as he was going to be in this fight. There were 6 women and 7 men.

Each and every one of them with cultivation at level 9. That alone would not be an issue, the two of them were strong enough to deal with enemies of that level even if outnumbered.

However Ved had a terrible feeling about this group. He couldn’t place his claw on it but something felt wrong about them.

" Get ready, I don’t think this one will be easy." He warned Naledi and took his full dragon form.

Her body became less opaque like she was a spirit. She too had taken her soul form then they attacked.

Ved didn’t waste time and used dragon breath from the get go. A beam of white shot out like a spear.

The air and space burnt on its path but his enemies easily evaded the attack. Considering its speed and the distance between them.

He realised they were fast, perhaps even faster than he was. ’ As I had expected, they’re top notch.’

Each one of them had a power equal to at least a legendary grade expert. Two of them were beasts so he was easily able to confirm their bloodline grades.

Both were merely sky grade, he growled at the two of them. " Are you two certain you want to oppose me?"

He used his king’s authority on them, thus usually worked as intimidation but not this time.

The two beasts, a giant hawk and a warthog merely grinned at him. " Sorry, but we aren’t one of your subjects your highness.

You have no authority over us, now die." The warthog attached. It galloped across the sky and covered the distance between them in a blink of an eye.

Its tusks pierce towards him like spears, in response he reached out and grabbed its head.

BOOOOOM, the two collided and the mountain below shattered into rubble, a shockwave spread out ripping the ground apart.

Everybody paused, Ved had not dodged the warthog but chose to take its attack head on. Mind you, its task were infused with the law of sharpness.

The warthog itself used the law of earth to make itself heavy thus increasing the momentum and kinetic events of its charge.

Yet Ved who was 7 levels below it took the attack head on. What surprised them the most though were the results.

Its horns failed to pierce through his scales. ’ Iron scales bitch.’ at his current mass, iron scales were too strong.

Not many can do anything to him now. The warthog realised its attack failed and tried to retreat.

But how could Ved allow that, his claws sunk into its hide and he gripped it tightly. The warthog cried and tried to shake him off.

He bit its neck and used his lightning on it. A white flash appeared blinding everybody, when their vision cleared.

The warthog appeared falling to the ground below like a collapsing mountain. It was still alive but paralysed by the lightning.

Its partner the hawk reacted and rushed to grab it but Naledi acted next. Thousands of invisible strings shot out from her.

Naledi had further strengthened her Marionette ability and now the strings couldn’t be seen, you can only sense them.

The strings moved so fast not even the hawk managed to react and in this battlefield where law ran amock.

It was hard to sense them until they were too close, especially when you’re flustered as the hawk was.

The strings bound its soul and it found itself flying even faster. It reached out with it talons as if to grab the warthog.

Their teammates turned towards Ved, they were already assured the warthog was safe but how wrong they were.

The hawk grabbed the hawk and in front of their eyes ripped it in half. The warthog’s defence was already low.

It had not expected its own friend to rip its body in two. It died wondering what had just happened.

The hawk was even more shaken, it could see everything happening but it couldn’t control it’s body, essence energy or even its laws.

The others frowned, their leader, a woman with long red white hair that appeared to be made of bones spoke.

" What have you done? Have you betrayed Aviana?" Aviana the hawk screeched loudly breaking the marionette strings.

Naledi teleported next to Ved’s head. "They’re fallen?" She whispered.

" What?" Ved was confused, why would the sovereigns allow the fallen to enter this dimensional space.

" I sensed it just now, when the hawk broke my marionette, she used something I’ve only felt from creatures of the void.

If I’m not mistaken, they fell on the Nameless of bones." Just as she said that, the hawk transformed.

White bones appeared all over its body turning it into a skeleton covered hawk and a white third eye appeared on its forehead.

" No wonder I felt they had the power of a legendary beast, they were given the same level as an envoy." He whispered.

That white third eye was a symbol of an envoy of Bones, for fallen to have it, their status must be quite high.

" Fighting this many will not be easy, the power of the void is a hard counter to laws, out abilities will be weakened."

She warned them grabbed him and teleported. Just as they reappeared so did the fallen.

" Where the hell do you think you’re going after killing one of our own? You haven’t paid your debt yet."

Ved looked at Naledi, " I’ll hold them off, you know what to do."

She nodded, " Be careful."

Ved growled, his law avatar appeared behind him then in front of their eyes, the tree tilted.
