Chapter 408: Chapter 408: Suspicions

This massive eye flew closer to them, its presence made even Anglomesh find it hard to breathe.

He didn’t even need to breathe yet he found his breath being taken from him. As if he was granted the need to breathe and then had it taken.

He sent a will transmission to the others to not move a muscle or they would all die. Then they heard a low growl.

That growl contained something above laws, something that made the surrounding void as calm as a windless sea.

Then the God retreated slowly and disappeared. Anglomesh was confused because he was certain that was a void god.

A god level being of the void beasts. Even at that level, void beasts are still mindless beings.

But that creature seemed much calmer than one would expect of a savage beast that knows nothing but to consume.

" Let go!" Anglomesh shouted and they flew back to Pangera as fast as they could. Those on the other side were surprised to see them.

" That was quick, Why’d you return so early?" Fenral asked Anglomesh as soon as they returned.

Then everybody noticed while Anglomesh still tried to maintain his calm, everybody else was shaking on their boots.

" We need to seal this gate now then discuss our next plans." His words surprised everybody listening.

Anglomesh was a demigod, the worry in his voice ignited a flame of terror inside everybody else.

Ved looked at Naledi who had returned with her master not so long ago. They both understood what to do next.

Naledi checked her orb of eternal winter, it was yet to be full. The orb had evolved alongside her ranking up.

Now it didn’t just contain water essence but can absorb and refine laws into something she can absorb instantly.

The effect was naturally much much weaker than before and it took much longer to fill back up.

Unfortunately even Ved couldn’t progress as easily as before. His evolution points were no longer enough.

His progress solely depended on his comprehension of laws. Even if he gains the maximum amount of evolution points.

If his prime laws are stuck, his soul can’t grow, his law avatar can’t grow and he would be stuck on the same level.

He has asked Manas about this and the answer was frankly disappointing.

" You’ve been informed of this before but the system is just an assistant, once your soul fully matured, you’ll need to depend on yourself more."

He did remember something like that but he didn’t think it meant this, he thought it was just talking about the free abilities and traits slots.

" Actually there is a way for you to grow faster, to comprehend your laws faster using your evolution points."

That drew his attention, " Really? What is it, tell me tell me right now."

" Calm down, this technique requires something."

" Yeah, what’s that, whatever it is I’ll make sure to get it."

" You know that crown of that girl, the one that allows her to control her divine flames, you need that."

" What, I can’t take Naledi’s crown, it’s hers."

" Of course you can’t take it, you won’t even be able to use it. I’m talking about another crown.

You already know of it, its projection manifest when you use king’s authority." Ved thought about it.

" Yeah, there is something like that, you’re saying that crown is similar to the one wielded by Naledi?"

" Yes, they’re called the crowns of divinity and there are only two of them in existence. Each crown has it own unique ability created by their first wielders.

Hers burn her soul, not in the same way your ignition does. It doesn’t burn soul essence but the soul itself.

In doing so, it increases her comprehension to absurd levels and gives her a tremendously powerful soul.

If she were to use that crown and her dominance law, I’m afraid even you would not be her match.

The second crown allows its user to impose their will on demonic beasts. However there is another unique ability.

By sacrificing a type of energy, one can temporarily increase their processing speed and comprehension to unimaginable levels.

It’s how they’re would be able to control so many demonic beasts at once, it’s a very powerful ability.".

" And this energy, it’s my evolution points isn’t it?"

" Yes, there is one thing though, it’s location is unknown. Actually the only reason that one where she found hers showed up is because of her.

Her vessel revealed that space otherwise it never would’ve been found. The sane goes for you.

To obtain that part of the inheritance, you will need a key, you already have three fragments of the key.

As long as you can find the last one, you can find the location and obtain that crown, your comprehension of laws will grow significantly after that."

Ved nodded then he sighed, " That will be an issue, the last fragment is missing. Does Naledi know she can do that?" He finally asked.

" I don’t know, it doesn’t look like it or she would’ve used it by now. After all comprehending supreme laws is absurdly difficult."

Ved agreed, no matter how hard he tries, his comprehension speed was moving as the speed of a crippled snail.

" You know, if others hear this they would rip you apart. Supreme laws are infinitely harder to comprehend thsn great laws which are hard on their own.

The two of you reaching this level with supreme laws as your prime laws is an absurdity on its own, okay that’s it, find the last fragment at all costs."

He nodded but first, he needed to inform Naledi of this. " I see." That was her answer, she didn’t look pleased to hear that.

Ved didn’t know Naledi’s thought. Naledi had had her suspicions about everything involving her.

What Ved had just said basically confirmed her suspicions. ’ I’m being manipulated.’ those were her thoughts.

She could understand her predecessor predicting her abilities after all they would largely have similar abilities.

However this crown of divinity was different. She had thought it was a coincidence before.

But this crown was designed for her, that wasn’t the issue. The issue was that it was made for her law avatar, which is something based in her own will.

It should be unique to her and her alone but Ur didn’t seem to be. Naledi just came to the same realisation Ved had a long time ago.

Her image now law avatar, might not be truly hers.
