Chapter 100: A Villa
Now that Max had bought a super car, not just one to her surprise, but two for him and his brother, Auntie Sarah couldn’t bother persuading him to sell them.
She, after all, wished to be their passenger for such luxurious cars.
Instead, she asked Max, "How much money is in your bank account right now?"
Max tilted his head sideways and tried to remember.
He said, "It should be 10 million CAD.
Exact."
Auntie Sarah was taken aback.
"How could it be 10 million already? Stop playing with me. Open your bank account on your phone and let me see."
Max took out his phone, opened his bank account, and showed it to Auntie Sarah.
Her eyes widened. If there were any space left to expand them, she would have done so.
She was absolutely shocked.
A realization struck her and her face turned serious.
She asked in a stern voice, "How did you earn that money? There’s no way gaming alone can help you earn that."
Max shrugged and opened the transaction history and showed it to her.
When Auntie Sarah read that it was Aethernova who sent him the money, she felt relieved.
It turned out Max legally earned the money.
She couldn’t help but wonder how he earned it that quick.
She kept her question to herself and contemplated for a while.
She said, "It’s time for you to buy a house, or a villa. There’s one available at 248 Maple Grove Drive, Oakville. It’s near Enzo’s school and there’s less traffic there."
Max frowned. "How did you know about that?"
"A friend told me about it. She said that if I manage to recommend a buyer, I’d get to earn 5% from it.
Never thought I’d really be able to recommend it to you."
Max instantly thought of buying the custom villa.
From apartment to Enzo’s public school took hours and more so when there was traffic.
However, if the villa managed to reduce the time because of the distance and less presence of traffic, he wouldn’t hesitate to buy it.
Auntie Sarah could also earn from the transaction, so he didn’t hesitate anymore.
Max nodded. "Alright. I’ll buy that one. Can we finalize and move there for today? I need to play by tomorrow."
Auntie Sarah nodded.
She said, "Let me call the Real Estate Broker."
Auntie Sarah took out her phone and called the Real Estate Broker.
Almost immediately, Auntie Sarah finished the call with less words, leaving Max to wonder.
She glanced at Max and smiled. "Let’s meet the Real Estate Broker in the villa you are about to own."
Max chuckled.
...
248 Maple Grove Drive, Oakville. 15 kilometers away from Auntie Sarah’s apartment.
A Vanguard Horizon 6 entered and drive through the asphalt road, catching the people’s attention, who were walking at the street.
Under Auntie Sarah’s guidance, they eventually arrived at their destination.
The villa sat on the northern edge of the neighborhood, just under two kilometers away from the public school Enzo was attending.
It occupied an "infill lot"—meaning an older, mid-century bungalow was entirely torn down to build this modern estate.
Max also loved the landscape and atmosphere of the place where the villa was located. Morrison was known for a quiet atmosphere.
The streets had no sidewalks and were covered by 100-year-old oak and maple tree canopies.
Homes were typically set deep back from the road behind thick hedges for maximum privacy.
Hence, the house Max was about to own definitely worked for him—location wise.
Max stopped on the road in front of the villa and glanced at it.
The villa sat deep within its lot behind a thick, manicured perimeter hedge.
A series of mature, old-growth maple trees framed the property lines, casting deep shadows across the lawn and partially screening the upper levels from the public street.
A wide, smooth asphalt driveway cut straight through the lawn, leading directly to the front entrance and the garage. The garage was sealed by a flush, sectional garage door made of frosted glass panels set in a black aluminum frame.
It was a two-storey villa. The second floor featured a prominent, cantilevered concrete terrace that projected over the main entrance. It was bordered by a seamless, low-profile glass railing, creating a floating geometric effect when viewed from afar.
There was already a man in a suit waiting for them.
The man was a twenty-five year old Jayce Fenetry. He was a Real Estate Broker for three years now.
This was his first time attempting to sell an item worth more than a million CAD.
He was a licensed real estate broker, which qualified him to be their buying agent.
When he saw the super car parking in front of the villa, he was elated.
The chance of finding the buyer was high.
Without hesitation, he walked so fast that he almost ran and met Max and Auntie Sarah in the driveway.
It was a bit hot, so after greeting, Jayce immediately invited them enter the ground floor of the villa.
Once they entered, Jayce led them to explore the ground floor.
Along the way, he slowly provided information on the ground floor.
"The entry atrium has a soaring 20-foot ceiling foyer with a floating steel staircase featuring smoked-glass treads. A small powder room sits immediately to the left of the main entrance, which is perfect if you need an immediate bathroom after entering the house.
There’s also an open-concept living room and formal dining space at the rear. The entire back wall consists of floor-to-ceiling structural glass sliders opening to the backyard.
Located in a quiet, isolated corner of the ground floor, past the main powder room is the main floor guest area. It is a full-sized suite designed for complete autonomy, featuring a spacious bedroom area large enough for a king bed and a writing desk, a walk-in closet, a dedicated three-piece en-suite bathroom with a walk-in slate shower, and windows looking out toward the side property line, away from the main driveway."
When Max heard the main floor guest area’s features, he instantly thought of Enzo.
He smiled.
He was confident that Enzo would definitely choose to stay at the main floor guest area.
Max had to convince him to stay at the second floor, which was a private quarters...
