Chapter 265: Fell into a trap

At this moment, the group of the Green Wolf and others, who had unknowingly fallen into a trap, continued to move forward. Initially, they were concerned about being discovered and exposing their whereabouts.

This was because their attire was somewhat different from the Dawn Guard, and more importantly, they were unfamiliar faces, easily recognizable. At that time, they could only press on, undoubtedly facing a very dangerous situation, with the possibility of not making it out alive.

Fortunately, Lady Luck continued to smile upon them. Their movements remained undetected. Along the way, a few people noticed them and gave them strange looks but didn’t say much.

This made the Green Wolf and his group breathe a slight sigh of relief. It seemed that these people were not very familiar with each other either and were likely brought in temporarily – a stroke of good fortune indeed!

Before long, they heard the voice of the opposing commander.

"Quick, take a look; this seems to be their operations command room!"

At the entrance to a meeting room, they spotted several guards outside. The door was ajar, and someone inside was handling documents. Subsequently, the Green Wolf compared the photos of Waldo they had obtained. It was indeed Waldo.

He then signaled to one of his subordinates with a glance. Soon after, two individuals approached, but they were intercepted by the guards.

"Who are you people, and what do you want?"

Bang! Bang!

Two shots to the chest, and the two guards fell to the ground. Afterward, the group entered the meeting room.

Waldo immediately turned around in astonishment when he saw the group entering.

"What are you people? What do you want?" he angrily exclaimed.

The Green Wolf’s eyes flashed with a sinister glint as he coldly replied, "What are we? How amusing! We’re here to kill you, of course!"

With that, the Green Wolf made his move. It was evident that Waldo, as the boss, was also a level-sixty ruler. However, the Green Wolf didn’t think much of him.

Not only was he a level-sixty ruler himself, but he had also slain other level-sixty strong opponents, more than one or two of them. Therefore, he had enough confidence.

Sure enough, the current Waldo couldn’t match him. After a few exchanges, he was swiftly killed on the spot.

As the Green Wolf looked at the lifeless body on the ground, a sly smile formed on his face.

"Now that the commander is dead, they have no leader. It’s the perfect time for us to strike back! Brothers, follow me out and start reaping the rewards!"

However, just at that moment, he suddenly felt a chill that enveloped his entire being. Simultaneously, a cold voice echoed in their ears.

"Heh heh, did you really think you killed me?"

Upon hearing these words, everyone, including the Green Wolf, was momentarily stunned. Then, they turned to look in the direction of the voice.

Not looking would have been better because the moment they did, they all felt an intense coldness wash over them. The battleship commander that the Green Wolf had just killed had somehow come back to life.

"You... Weren’t you dead just now?" the Green Wolf asked incredulously.

However, Waldo only let out a cold laugh. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"Dead? That was just one of my clones! I had already anticipated your arrival! Well, since you’re here, you might as well stay. None of you are leaving!"

With those words, the temperature in the surroundings suddenly dropped significantly. Then, a powerful aura began to emanate from Waldo’s body.

As this aura emerged, the faces of everyone present underwent a drastic change, including the Green Wolf. The Green Wolf was the most powerful among them and could sense the terrifying extent of this aura.

"Very strong!" he thought, feeling a suffocating sensation himself.

"Damn it!" The Green Wolf’s face turned grim. At this point, he had no doubt that they had fallen into an ambush.

Outside, there were undoubtedly armed soldiers ready to pounce the moment he dared to step out of that door. No matter how strong he was, he couldn’t escape. The only way to survive was to take this person as a hostage.

"You must be very powerful, perhaps the strongest opponent I’ve ever encountered. But to survive, I must defeat you!" the Green Wolf declared. With that, he lunged directly at Waldo.

He was a decisive individual who never wasted time. However, he had underestimated Waldo’s strength.

"Petrification!" Waldo proclaimed in his mind.

In mid-air, the Green Wolf’s body stiffened unnaturally, and his speed dramatically decreased. The Green Wolf’s face turned pale as he struggled to understand what was happening.

"What’s going on? Why do I feel like my body is weighed down, making it difficult to move?" he muttered, his face draining of color. He sensed that his blood was flowing sluggishly, as if influenced by a mysterious force.

Waldo gave a slight smile; he knew the petrification was taking effect.

Seeing this, Waldo didn’t hesitate. He instantly teleported in front of the Green Wolf.

Swish! A massive head fell to the ground.

The Green Wolf was dead.

"This... It can’t be!"

This scene left the crew of the Heavenly Dragon in utter shock!

They had never expected that the mighty Green Wolf, who appeared god-like in their eyes, could be killed by an unknown young man!

After all, the Green Wolf had successfully taken down beings of unknown level-sixty ruler strength, showcasing extraordinary power.

Their decision to infiltrate the Blaze-class battleship was based on their trust in the Green Wolf’s abilities. However, the Green Wolf had been easily defeated by the opposing force.

This turn of events was truly stunning!

Just at this moment, Waldo took action once again.

"All of you must die," Waldo stated coldly.

Subsequently, he made his move. Even after the Green Wolf’s demise at his hands, these individuals held no fear for him.

Dealing with them was now a simpler task. A single use of his ability, Petrification, would incapacitate most of them. The remaining few would be powerless to resist.
