Chapter 8: Easy
The Level 1 Goblins were only half the height of an average human.
Among all types of monsters, they were the weakest.
Compared to Awakeners, they were merely equivalent to those with a D-Class Talent.
The EXP gained from killing them was incredibly low, and there was practically no chance of obtaining SP from the System.
The moment Violet entered, the three Goblins charged at her, each wielding a crude stone club.
As monsters, they desired nothing more than to kill humans.
They attacked from three directions, with two of them rushing toward Violet’s left and right.
A weapon was naturally prepared inside every cell since the beginners did not yet own one.
It was a solid yet razor-sharp sword.
Violet grabbed it with a swift movement.
Inside the guard post, Enzo pressed the U and I keys simultaneously, the command to activate Assassin Super.
Buzz!
For a brief moment, black light burst from Violet’s body.
Then a change occurred.
Thin black markings suddenly spread across her entire body, even covering her face and neck.
An invisible killing aura erupted from her, startling even the beginners who were watching.
For some reason, that aura made their hearts tremble violently, causing them to instinctively feel fear and dread, as though they themselves had become her assassination target.
[Name: Violet Muller]
[Level: 0]
[EXP: 0/100]
[Talent:]
Assassin Super (S)
[Strength: 6] [Agility: 10 ×3] [Intelligence: 8] [Vitality: 5]
[Skill:]
Invisible (S)
[External Power: None]
A slight change appeared in Violet’s stats.
Her Agility had been multiplied by three, which was astonishing.
That meant she effectively possessed 30 Agility Points, making her three times faster than she normally should have been.
This truly was an S-Class Talent.
Of course, the most terrifying aspect of this Talent was its ability to predict an opponent’s movements while automatically striking their most vital point.
Watching through his screen as Violet’s controller, Enzo—whose mind was directly linked to hers while controlling her—instantly understood every move the three Goblins were about to make.
’The gap between us is simply too great,’ he thought.
Whoosh!
Violet casually swung her sword.
The blade struck each Goblin square in the chest, slicing through to their hearts.
Blood instantly gushed from the wounds as the light faded from their eyes.
DING!
(Your character has killed three Level 1 Monsters. You and your character gained 100 EXP!)
(You and your character now have 100 EXP and have advanced to Level 1!)
(Your Intelligence has increased from 5 to 15!)
(Violet’s Agility has increased from 10 to 20!)
[Name: Enzo Muller]
[Level: 1]
[EXP: 100/300]
[Strength: 9] [Agility: 7] [Intelligence: 15] [Vitality: 7]
[Name: Violet Muller]
[Level: 1]
[EXP: 100/300]
[Strength: 6] [Agility: 20] [Intelligence: 8] [Vitality: 5]
Enzo let out a sigh after leveling up so quickly.
Naturally, the moment his Intelligence increased from 5 to 15, he immediately felt the difference.
The enhancement to his perception was unmistakable.
His eyesight, for example, had become far sharper. He could even spot a tiny ant crawling in the corner of the guard post.
Fundamentally, it was because his Mana Energy had increased.
After looking at both his own attributes and Violet’s, Enzo couldn’t help but think,
’As the player, the only attribute I truly need to operate my Gamer Talent is Intelligence. Basically, there’s no problem if I lend my other attributes to Violet. That way, Violet would possess the combined attributes of both of us.’
"Who is that woman? She’s so strong..."
"Where is she from? Is she from your city?"
"I don’t remember seeing her among the beginners from my city."
"Even an A-Class Talent shouldn’t be this powerful, right?"
"No, definitely not. This is obviously an S-Class Talent... That aura... None of us with A-Class Talents possess anything like it."
While Enzo was lost in his own thoughts, the beginner Awakeners watching the fight were completely astonished by Violet’s strength.
As they questioned one another, they quickly realized that Violet wasn’t from any of their cities.
With such striking looks, there was no way anyone could have forgotten seeing her.
Enzo had to maintain his calm expression despite hearing all the confused discussions.
Meanwhile, Violet walked back to the cell entrance, leaving the sword behind inside the cell.
"Miss, what’s your name? Where are you from?" someone suddenly asked.
It was a handsome young man wearing earrings, someone who had attracted plenty of attention from the girls since the beginning.
"Does that matter? Are you here just to ask something like that?" Violet replied coldly, her brows furrowing.
Enzo had already prepared a backstory for Violet, but it was meant for someone with authority, not some random beginner.
After taking a closer look, the young man resembled Augus Brown quite a bit.
He was probably his younger brother.
After answering, Violet simply walked away, leaving the young man frozen in place.
Several other young men burst into laughter, amused that he hadn’t merely been ignored—he had actually been scolded.
Violet continued walking past one cell after another.
The others couldn’t keep their attention on her forever.
They had come here to level up.
One by one, they began entering the cells themselves.
Violet paused briefly as she passed the cell Bella had entered.
It contained only a single Goblin.
Bella didn’t look afraid.
Seeing that, Enzo finally relaxed and continued pressing the W key, making Violet resume walking.
Apparently, the prison had an enormous supply of Goblins.
Whenever the Goblins inside a cell were killed and someone else entered that same cell, a hatch in the ceiling would open, and several new Goblins would be dropped down into it.
The Goblins were probably being held somewhere above.
However, if no one attempted to enter that cell again, no additional Goblins would be released.
Eventually, Violet stopped in front of a cell containing five Goblins, each one as tall as a human.
Level 3 Monsters.
Not the strongest monsters in the prison, but at the moment, not a single beginner dared to challenge them.
