Chapter 7: Moved

After all the newcomers had entered, Enzo went in as well.

"Enzo, are you really working here?" Bella hurried over to him as soon as she stepped inside.

"I’ve been assigned to clean up the remains of slain monsters, and I live in that booth," Enzo replied casually, pointing toward his booth.

Bella froze.

"Come with me."

Enzo pulled her inside.

As long as he was present, other people were naturally allowed to enter the booth with him.

Bella was astonished. From inside the booth, they could clearly see everything outside, yet those outside couldn’t see anything inside.

As the most beautiful girl from City Z’s group, being dragged into a booth by Enzo, who worked as a janitor, naturally attracted the attention of newcomers from the other cities.

Quite a few of them couldn’t help but keep an eye on the booth.

"Enzo, what exactly happened? What did you mean when you said you succeeded?" Bella asked, keeping her eyes fixed on him.

"I did succeed..." he answered.

"But?" Bella looked at him anxiously.

She was afraid he was simply boasting out of frustration.

Yet Enzo continued smiling.

"Take a look."

The next moment, his status panel appeared before Bella.

Normally, a status panel could only be seen by its owner, but if an Awakener wished, they could display it publicly for others to see.

That alone was enough to prove he was an Awakener.

However, even while standing right in front of him, Bella couldn’t see any of the words displayed on the panel.

Enzo dismissed it again.

He only intended to prove that he was an Awakener. As for the nature of his power, he would keep it a secret for now.

"So that’s why you were so surprised yesterday?" she asked.

"Yeah. How could I not be surprised? At the time, I genuinely thought I’d failed." Enzo chuckled.

"And there wasn’t even any phenomenon... Does that mean you awakened the legendary Hidden Talent?"

"Yeah..." Enzo nodded.

"My father would cry if he found out." Bella smiled bitterly.

"But if you’re working like this, how are you supposed to grow stronger?"

"I have my own plan. My Talent is unique, so naturally my path will be unique as well. You don’t have to worry about me. The only thing you should worry about is making sure you don’t fall behind me."

Bella, "..."

She finally smiled and lightly clapped her hands.

"I don’t mind falling behind. As long as you’re fine, I can finally relax."

She let out several relieved sighs before leaving the booth, allowing Enzo to sit back down on the bed.

There wasn’t even a table inside, only the bed.

Fortunately, the floating virtual mouse and keyboard were solid enough to support his hands, making it feel as though a desk existed in front of him.

His virtual screen immediately displayed Violet, standing motionlessly inside the restroom like a robot.

As Enzo smiled, Violet smiled as well.

"Ahem..."

He cleared his throat, and Violet did exactly the same at the exact same moment.

There wasn’t the slightest delay.

Enzo immediately returned to a serious expression. Otherwise, Violet wouldn’t look like an emotionless girl.

Fortunately, years of gaming had made him accustomed to keeping a serious face for long periods, barely even blinking.

Violet walked out of the restroom.

The moment she stepped outside, she immediately attracted the attention of the passing Awakeners.

Despite her short hair making her look somewhat like a handsome young man, she was still far too beautiful.

Through his virtual screen, Enzo could clearly see the interested gazes directed at her.

Maintaining an indifferent expression, Violet entered the Monster Prison.

Up until now, not a single newcomer had entered a cell.

They were still observing the monsters inside, unwilling to be the first to fight. Everyone wanted to watch someone else battle first.

If even the senior Awakeners were captivated by Violet, there was no need to mention the newcomers.

Even without releasing any aura, her appearance alone left a deep impression.

Even the female Awakeners looked her up and down.

Under everyone’s gaze, Violet walked directly toward a cell containing three Goblins.

Stopping in front of the entrance, she took out her Sanctuary Card and placed it against the cell door.

DING!

($1,000 has been deducted from your balance. Remaining Balance: $9,000!)

The card emitted a quiet notification sound, and the first door slid open.

Violet stepped inside.

Naturally, there was a second door.

Only after the first door closed behind her did the second one slowly open.

The Goblins inside immediately turned to look at her.

One that had been sitting even stood up.

DING!

(Three Level 1 Monsters!)

The notification appeared on Enzo’s virtual screen.

This was the most difficult challenge available for a Level 0 newcomer.

Naturally, he had chosen the hardest one.

After all, Violet possessed an S-Class Talent.

More importantly, she was being controlled by him as he watched everything from behind the screen.

To Enzo, even the toughest challenge for a newcomer felt like nothing more than bullying the weak.
