Chapter 9: Level 2
With an S-Class Talent, facing mere Goblins, it was only natural to fight monsters several levels above, even if there were five Goblins at once. The same was generally true for Awakeners with A-Class Talents.
However, it was not recommended for beginners.
Their attributes were still too low to fully unleash the potential of their Talents, and they also lacked combat experience.
But Enzo didn’t think it was dangerous enough.
He knew exactly how powerful Violet truly was.
For a fight like this, he didn’t even need to transfer his own attributes to her.
As soon as Violet arrived at the cell door, she opened it.
DING!
(9,000 Dollars have been deducted from your balance. Your balance is now 0!)
The entrance fee for the cell completely exhausted the money Enzo had transferred.
Violet’s choice naturally attracted everyone’s attention once again.
Those who had yet to enter any cell immediately gathered to watch.
Five Level 3 Goblins.
The monsters immediately moved to surround Violet as she picked up the sword inside the cell.
Whoosh!
One of them suddenly hurled its stone club.
However, before it could even reach her, Violet had already stepped to the side.
The club harmlessly flew past her.
A surprise attack like that was completely useless against Violet’s Talent, which predicted an opponent’s movements with perfect accuracy.
Then, Violet suddenly disappeared.
Her S-Class Skill, Invisible, allowed her to conceal anything—including herself.
Enzo had been curious about this Skill because of how terrifying it sounded.
However, he soon realized that it drained Mana at an incredible rate.
It couldn’t be maintained for long, especially at Violet’s current level.
She dashed forward and appeared behind one of the Goblins, thrusting her sword through its back straight into its heart without piercing through its chest.
Meanwhile, the other Goblins looked around in confusion.
The stabbed Goblin was still standing with its eyes wide open.
Violet had perfectly hidden herself behind its body, while the other Goblins couldn’t sense her presence at all.
Even the spectators outside, despite clearly seeing Violet, subconsciously felt as though she didn’t exist.
That was another ability of her Talent—
It drastically reduced her presence.
Unlike Invisible, maintaining this effect consumed no Mana whatsoever.
Whoosh!
Violet shoved the dead Goblin toward another while remaining hidden behind its body.
Before the second Goblin could react, her sword pierced through the corpse and stabbed straight into its chest.
The nearest Goblin roared in fury and charged at her.
However, Violet had already predicted its movement.
She dodged before it arrived and swung her sword across its neck, splitting it cleanly in two.
Three of the five Goblins fell.
Naturally, she couldn’t kill all three simultaneously like before.
Their larger bodies and greater physical strength meant her attack lacked the power to cut through all of them in one strike.
DING!
(Your character has killed three Level 3 Monsters. You and your character gained 200 EXP!)
(You and your character now have 300 EXP and have advanced to Level 2!)
(Your Strength has increased from 9 to 14!)

(Violet’s Strength has increased from 6 to 11!)
(Violet’s Intelligence has increased from 8 to 13!)

Another level up.
Inside the guard post, Enzo beamed.
The biggest gain was undoubtedly Violet’s increased Strength and Intelligence.
With an icy gaze, Violet immediately charged at the two remaining Goblins, who happened to be standing side by side.
Both swung their stone clubs at her.
She leaped into the air, soaring nearly a meter high.
Carrying the momentum of her jump and an even fiercer killing aura, Violet slashed her sword through one Goblin’s neck, severing its head before the blade continued into the final Goblin, who had no chance to dodge.
DING!
(Your character has killed two Level 3 Monsters. You and your character gained 100 EXP!)
[EXP: 400/700]
The battle was over.
Violet calmly walked back toward the cell entrance, taking several deep breaths.
Enzo himself hadn’t done so, meaning Violet had done it automatically—a sign that she was beginning to tire.
Her Vitality was still low, and it hadn’t increased.
For beginners, it was impossible to fight at full strength indefinitely.
The others were no different.
Some of them even collapsed to the ground from exhaustion after winning just a single battle.
