Chapter 31: Woman
Bella immediately unpacked the plastic bag, taking out one lunch box after another.
There was grilled meat, french fries, and mushrooms. At first glance, they looked like ordinary dishes from Earth. However, Enzo knew that every ingredient came from the wilderness of the Moba World.
The meat, for example, came from cow- or goat-type monsters that had retained their original appearance apart from their much larger size.
"Enzo, don’t tell me you’ve leveled up again?" Bella asked.
Enzo rolled his eyes at the question.
Even though Bella could peek at his status, she obviously wasn’t willing to waste System Points doing it over and over again.
"Yeah..." He gave a slight nod without explaining further, then speared a piece of meat with his fork and took a bite.
It was unbelievably delicious—far beyond ordinary grilled meat.
The savory and sweet flavors surpassed his imagination.
More importantly, the moment it entered his mouth, he immediately felt his energy surging.
He picked up another piece, this time eating it together with the fries and mushrooms.
The combination of all three flavors was even more incredible.
"So this is what it tastes like," Bella said, apparently trying it for the first time as well.
After only a few bites, she instantly looked much more energized.
"It’s even better when you eat it with the fries and mushrooms," Enzo said.
Bella immediately tried it and nodded in agreement.
"Ordinary people can’t eat food like this. The nutrients alone exceed what their bodies can handle."
While they were chatting, George walked past the guard post. He had just arrived and looked ready to fight again.
"Enzo, what really happened last night? Why did Violet beat George up?" Bella asked.
"He was shouting. Violet happened to be nearby and got annoyed by the noise," Enzo replied. "He was actually yelling at me. I just ignored him."
"Really?" Bella’s eyes widened in surprise. "Why was he yelling at you?"
"He wanted water, but I didn’t come out." Enzo chuckled. "Then he got angry and started talking nonsense."
"Looks like he’s about to go completely insane. But that’s good. Otherwise, he’d keep chasing after me," Bella said.
"Isn’t he pretty handsome? Were you never interested in him?" Enzo asked jokingly.
"Don’t be ridiculous. I wasn’t interested even when he was normal. I hated how hypocritical he was. And now he’s no different from a monster. Would you really let your beautiful cousin get eaten by a monster?"
After saying that, Bella nudged Enzo in the waist.
Then, without warning, she leaned her face close to his, causing him to freeze with his lips slightly parted.
"Why are you asking whether I’m interested in another man? Do you really want me to belong to someone else? Don’t you want to keep your beautiful cousin all to yourself?" she asked.
Enzo quickly leaned back and pretended to cough.
"Bella, stop being crazy," he said.
"You’re the crazy one," Bella replied. "Seriously, what man would willingly let his beautiful cousin belong to someone else?"
Enzo fell silent.
"I’m not like those people," he finally said.
"Hmph, stop lying. You stare at my thighs just like every other guy. You’re already an adult, yet you don’t even have the courage to admit it. Even if you touched me, I wouldn’t get angry."
Enzo scratched his head, completely speechless.
People often suspected there was something strange between them.
And, more often than not, the truth really was closer to what they imagined.
Unable to respond, he simply continued eating.
Bella also continued eating as though they hadn’t just discussed anything unusual.
She finished every last bite.
"I honestly feel like fighting right now. This food seems to awaken some wild instinct in me. I doubt this was really beef," Bella said afterward before standing up.
From inside the guard post, she could open the door herself, so Enzo didn’t need to.
With brisk steps, she entered one of the prison cells.
After she left, another woman arrived carrying a tray of food.
It was none other than Emma.
Her mood looked just as sour as always.
Enzo opened the door before she could knock.
Standing outside, Emma immediately noticed the leftovers scattered around the guard post, causing her to frown.
"If you no longer need Sanctuary meals, just say so. Then I won’t have to bring food here anymore," she said.
Enzo had expected her to get angry.
Calmly, he replied, "The food provided by the Sanctuary is my right, and delivering it is your responsibility. I just happened to get lunch from my cousin. That doesn’t mean I no longer need the Sanctuary’s meals. Of course, I don’t need lunch anymore today, so you can take it back."
After saying that, he closed the door.
Emma’s eyes probably widened behind her glasses.
Even her lips showed complete disbelief at what she had just heard.
She stood silently in front of the closed door for quite a while before finally walking away with steps so heavy it looked as though she wanted to stomp someone.
Lying on his bed, Enzo lit a cigarette and exhaled several times, trying to calm himself after Bella’s relentless teasing.
No matter how close they were, what man could stay completely calm after being flirted with by such a beautiful woman?
As he smoked, he controlled Violet remotely.
Since he planned to let her rest until nightfall, he had her take a warm shower before changing into casual clothes.
Afterward, he made Violet sit on a sofa in a commanding pose, holding her black dagger while the red axe taken from the humanoid bull was planted firmly into the floor beside her.
Enzo snapped a photo and opened Violet’s social media account again to upload it.
To his surprise, Violet’s account had already gained nearly 3,000 followers.
Every single post had also received over 10,000 likes.
"How is it growing this fast?" he muttered in confusion.
After all, he hadn’t used any paid promotion.
Was Violet really attracting far more attention than he had expected?
’Maybe Star Fashion Company did something,’ he thought.
As part of a massive conglomerate, they could easily have contacted the social media company and secretly paid for promotions so Violet’s content would reach a much larger audience.
Although there were countless comments, Enzo was far too lazy to read them.
