Chapter 26: Humanoid Bull
’These Browns really love causing trouble,’ Enzo thought.
He was annoyed, but Violet wasn’t capable of taking on Augus. After all, Augus had awakened a full year earlier, so his level was naturally much higher.
After a moment of consideration, Enzo decided not to respond.
As a result, Violet simply turned around and walked toward another cell.

"Just wait," he said coldly. "Wait until she leaves the Sanctuary. Then she’ll learn what a real monster looks like."
With that, he turned around and left.
From the very beginning, he hadn’t come to watch Violet fight.
However, Waylon and his companions stayed behind, mainly because Waylon enjoyed watching her.
In the end, there were still plenty of spectators.
They believed everything was fine now that Augus had openly declared that it was their right to watch, since the entire Monster Prison was a public facility open to everyone.
The cell Violet chose was the one at the very end of the corridor.
From a distance, it looked unusually dark.
Inside was a single Level 10 Monster.
It wasn’t a wolf.
Nor was it a gorilla.
It was a humanoid bull.
Its body resembled that of a human—much like the gorilla’s—but it stood even taller.
The most astonishing thing about the creature was the massive crimson battle axe resting in its hands.
It was actually a B-Class Weapon.
The monster was considered extremely dangerous, as indicated by the warning posted beside the cell door.

Reading the warning, Enzo couldn’t help swallowing.
The prison management wouldn’t have posted such a warning without reason.
Perhaps many beginners had already died here because of their carelessness.
Still, he believed this monster would reward Violet with as much EXP as the gorilla had, even after she had reached Level 6.
That was why he chose it.

Violet stepped through the cell entrance.

From the looks of it, the sword itself could convert Mana Energy into elemental slashes based on its wielder’s elemental affinity.
Violet calmly stared at the humanoid bull without taking another step forward.
Unlike the other monsters, this one seemed far more intelligent.
Its gaze remained calm, yet its eyes never blinked as they watched Violet.
Naturally, Enzo was still considering whether Violet could kill this monster in a single strike.
As an assassin, that was exactly how she was supposed to fight.

Still standing behind the second gate, Violet released a massive number of Mana Threads toward the bull.
The threads were completely invisible, devoid of any presence, and incredibly fast as they surged toward the monster from every direction.
Naturally, creating that many Mana Threads consumed an enormous amount of Violet’s Mana Energy.
