Chapter 27: Another Item
"Hmph!"
The humanoid bull suddenly let out a snort, its eyes turning sharp with vigilance.
It instinctively moved as if trying to dodge something.
But whatever it sensed was coming from every direction.
Before it could even react, its eyes widened.
Only it realized that countless incredibly fine threads—as light as strands of silk—had already wrapped themselves around its body.
At that very moment, Violet clenched both fists tightly.
In reality, she was using the Mana Threads to restrain the bull, and the threads’ binding force depended entirely on her physical strength.
Even with the combined Strength of Violet and Enzo, they were still inferior to the monster.
Both its Attributes and Talent surpassed theirs.
As the one controlling Violet, Enzo could clearly feel the difference.
It was like a child trying to hold down a fully grown adult.
It was incredibly difficult.

It wasn’t impossible.
Not for a brief moment.
And a brief moment was all Violet needed.
She pushed off the ground.
With a single movement, she appeared directly in front of the towering bull.

The bull roared in fury, unable to move its body.

It was strong enough to push Violet backward.
But before she could be blown away, Violet thrust the silver greatsword straight toward the bull’s chest.

Precise.
Perfectly accurate.
The bull’s rock-hard muscles couldn’t stop a sword carrying that much momentum.
Had her strike been even slightly slower, piercing its chest would have been nearly impossible.
Even someone with greater physical strength than Violet might have failed.
The instant the sword’s tip burst out through the monster’s back...
The outcome was already decided.
The light vanished from the bull’s eyes.
Yet in the final moment before death, it swung its massive battle axe toward Violet’s shoulder.
Dodging...
Was no longer possible.
Her feet hadn’t even touched the ground yet.
Violet’s first instinct was to wrap the axe with her Mana Threads.
But once an attack had already gained that much momentum, even she couldn’t stop it completely.
BANG!
The axe struck her squarely.
The impact hurled her across the room before she slammed heavily into the wall.
Fortunately, the clothes she wore were actually a B-Class Armor.
It managed to withstand the axe’s sharp edge, preventing it from cutting completely through.
However, the sheer force of the impact was overwhelming.
Violet’s face instantly turned pale, as if the blood in her body had frozen.

The massive bull collapsed to the floor.

Although Violet had clearly suffered a serious injury, Enzo couldn’t help smiling at the amount of EXP and SP they had earned.
The spectators were left speechless by how quickly the battle had ended.
"Even with an S-Class Talent... there’s no way it should be this fast, right?"
"Is the Assassin Talent really that terrifying when it comes to killing?"
No one had an answer.
Then...
A sphere of light emerged from the bull’s chest.
"Huh?"
"Another item dropped..."
"Unbelievable."
"I heard this bull has a high chance of dropping an item. It was deliberately placed here as a reward for beginners capable of killing it."
Enzo wasted no time.
He immediately had Violet get back on her feet and walk toward the bull’s corpse.
As a result, her movements looked awkward.
Her left shoulder drooped noticeably after taking the axe strike.
The injury had obviously caused tremendous pain.
Yet her expression remained completely calm.
Her attention was fixed solely on the glowing sphere.
Some of the spectators even assumed she was exaggerating her injury because her face showed no sign of suffering.
Only Enzo was wondering who he could ask to heal Violet.
He was worried the bones in her shoulder might have been fractured.
Standing before the corpse, Violet reached out and grabbed the sphere of light.
It instantly transformed into a crystal orb.
Inside it floated a glowing number...

"Huh?"
The spectators blinked.
Then their eyes widened in shock.
"Is... is that a Level 10 Ascension Crystal?"
"An Ascension Crystal? I heard those are extremely rare treasures that can instantly raise someone’s level."
"That’s right. As long as you swallow it, your level immediately becomes whatever number is written inside the crystal."
"Even monsters can use them."
"..."
This was the first time Enzo had ever heard of such an item.
He froze in disbelief.
How could he obtain something this valuable right after receiving an A+ Class Skill Book?
His luck was simply unbelievable.
Perhaps it was nothing more than an extraordinary coincidence.
If Violet hadn’t obtained it...
Then some other beginner eventually would have.
Without hesitation, Enzo immediately controlled Violet to swallow the crystal.
