Chapter 646: Chapter 646 Unbearable Regret_1

Qin Sisi closed the door of the room, then turned around and coldly looked at the young and beautiful ghost.

She did indeed want to escape just a moment ago, but was knocked back by Ye You, injured a little, and was now groaning non-stop on the ground.

Qin Sisi walked over to Wu Menglei to check on him. He was just unconscious and not hurt, luckily Qin Sisi and others arrived in time, if they were any later, perhaps Ding Jiayuan wouldn’t be able to resist the ghost.

Qin Sisi didn’t wake Wu Menglei up, allowing him to remain unconscious for now because dealing with the situation when he’s awake would be more problematic.

Then, Qin Sisi walked a little closer to the ghost.

Seeing Qin Sisi approach, the ghost lifted its head and glared at her resentfully, clearly very displeased at Qin Sisi for interrupting its plan.

Qin Sisi didn’t care about its displeasure, she looked over the ghost. Among ghosts, it was a relatively clean one. There were no missing limbs and it didn’t have any blood stains on it, only its face was incredibly pale.

But further observation revealed several bright red marks on one of its hands. Probably blood stains and there was a deep dark red scar on its wrist.

Given its overly pallid face, Qin Sisi guessed that this ghost had died from cutting its wrist and losing too much blood.

Ghosts who die from slit wrists usually have a high probability of committing suicide.

After momentarily pondering, Qin Sisi opened her mouth to ask, "Were you previously in the women’s restroom on the sixth floor of Manten Plaza?"

Upon hearing Qin Sisi directly discern her state of affairs, the ghost looked somewhat surprised, but quickly put on an aloof face and coldly retorted, "It’s none of your business."

Qin Sisi blinked, pointed at Wu Menglei, and asked, "Why did you want to kill him?"

"It’s none of your business." The response from the ghost was the same.

Qin Sisi furrowed her eyebrows and after a pause said, "I am a mage. I don’t casually destroy ghosts, but you were the one who started the mischief. Therefore, even if I cause your soul to scatter, you’re only getting what you deserve."

The ghost suddenly looked up, fire spewing out from its eyes as it stared at Qin Sisi. Barely managing to form a sentence, it yelled, "What do you mean, getting what I deserve? Where was anyone to stand up for me when I was wronged? I want a bit of justice, but you so-called righteous mages pop up. Why don’t you destroy the real criminals?"

Looking at its face of grief and indignation, Qin Sisi baited, "Well, tell me who is the real criminal?"

If it would open up, there was hope for the rest.

After a pause, the ghost responded uncooperatively, "Why should I tell you?" 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

Qin Sisi had encountered even more uncooperative ghosts than this one, so she knelt down in front of it patiently, looked into its eyes, and said, "Although I dare not call myself a seeker of justice, nor will I harm the innocent, if you do something wrong, it is still wrong, and you must be punished."

Staring at Qin Sisi with hatred clenched in her eyes, the ghost obstinately replied, "If doing something wrong means receiving punishment, then why do many wrongdoers not get punished?"

Qin Sisi hesitated briefly and responded, "You tell me who did something wrong and didn’t get punished? Maybe I can punish them a little."

This ghost harbored resentment, as it probably suffered some harm during its lifetime. It may have even vowed to exact revenge, so Qin Sisi led her on in that direction.

A variety of expressions crossed the ghost’s face, the resentment gradually fading to reveal a wistful smile. Her lips trembled as she said, "I... I don’t know who he is. I can’t remember his face. Why was I so foolish? Why so much alcohol? Why was I so careless?"

As it spoke, the ghost began to sob. Balling her hands into fists, she pounded them onto the hard floor a few times, evidently filled with regret.

Considering her words, Qin Sisi gently patted the ghost on the shoulder, and gently asked, "You really want to get revenge, don’t you?"

"Of course," the ghost replied immediately, "He ruined my life. I would love to grind him into meat sauce!"

Staring into the ghost’s eyes, Qin Sisi clearly stated, "I can help you take revenge. All you need to do is give me your Soul Power."

The ghost was taken aback, Qin Sisi’s every word stirred her heart.

She was aggrieved, lingering forcefully in the mortal world, but she was only an aggrieved ghost, with no ability to exact revenge. She never thought that someone would voluntarily offer to help her avenge.

However, the price was her Soul Power.

Having interacted with many ghosts, Qin Sisi knew their chief concern. Before the ghost could ask, she took the initiative to explain, "You won’t be annihilated. Your soul will just scatter in different places. After a thousand years, your soul will re-form and by then you can be reborn."

Qin Sisi specified the waiting time, she still didn’t know much about this particular ghost but strongly felt its resentment and regret, therefore, she was confident that it would agree.

A thousand years?

The ghost pondered, if she were to refuse, assuming the female Mage would let her go, would there be a chance for her to take revenge after a scared and worried thousand years of practice?

Not possible, that scoundrel could not possibly live that long. Besides, she didn’t even remember what he looked like.

However, if she herself couldn’t remember that person’s face, how could this mage possibly help her to exact revenge?

The ghost harbored doubts, looking at Qin Sisi she asked, "I can’t remember what that jerk looked like anymore, even if I saw him again, I might not be able to recognize him. How could you possibly find him? You’re not lying to me, are you?"

Qin Sisi shook her head in response, "I’m not lying to you. I have a way to help you remember. As long as you accept my conditions, you’ll know my method soon."

Qin Sisi was very confident about this. Previously, Xiao Dan had been in a deep coma when he was hurt and couldn’t remember the person who had hurt him, but Ye You had still managed to extract that person’s appearance from Xiao Dan’s latent memory, and helped Xiao Dan exact his revenge.

From the ghost’s words, she could guess that the ghost had lost consciousness because she had drunk too much alcohol, which was somewhat better than Xiao Dan’s situation. Therefore, Qin Sisi was confident that Ye You could extract that man’s appearance from her memory.

After hesitating for a while, the ghost recalled the despair and the involuntary suicide, and her heart was full of resentment.

All of it was caused by that scoundrel, he definitely could not be let off.

Perhaps, this female mage was an opportunity given to her by heaven.

In the end, the ghost nodded and said, "Okay, I agree to it, but you have to promise me that you will take revenge for me."

Qin Sisi nodded gravely and replied, "I promise you. After I help you take revenge, you will offer your Soul Power. It’s almost dawn. I’ll bring you out of here first, and we’ll talk in detail tomorrow night."
