Chapter 644: Chapter 644: The Lost Pink Bow Tie_1

With this in mind, Qin Sisi immediately said to Ding Jiawang, "Let’s search the bathrooms."

Ding Jiawang didn’t know why, but at that moment, he had run out of ideas and chose to trust Qin Sisi.

The two of them hurried towards the restrooms, with Qin Sisi entering the ladies’ room and Ding Jiawang heading to the men’s room next door.

Qin Sisi knew her responsibility was greater because under normal circumstances, a naive young girl would absolutely not head to the men’s restroom.

The bathrooms were very quiet despite the 24-hour operation of the premises, as there were very few people who would shop in the middle of the night.

Qin Sisi opened each stall door one by one, all of which were deserted. Disappointed, she left the restroom.

Ding Jiawang walked out almost at the same time as Qin Sisi. Upon seeing Qin Sisi, he hurriedly asked, "Did you find anything?"

Qin Sisi shook her head, raised her face upwards and said in a deep voice, "Let’s go, let’s search upstairs."

"Okay." Ding Jiawang’s face was grave, and he followed Qin Sisi towards the elevator. However, the elevator had stopped by then, so they had to take the stairs.

Qin Sisi hopped and skipped upwards, with agility akin to a wild rabbit. By the time she looked back from the second floor, Ding Jiawang was still managing to climb up the last few steps.

Catching his breath slightly, Ding Jiawang praised, "You’re pretty fit!"

Qin Sisi was taken aback. She considered her fitness to be average based on her unremarkable school sports scores. Could it be... that practicing Magic had enhanced her physique?

A bit excited, Qin Sisi turned her eyes towards her shoulder. While it appeared empty, she was aware that Ye You, the one who had led her on this path of Magic, was there.

"Let’s go, let’s check out the restroom." Ding Jiawang’s urging brought Qin Sisi back to reality and they hurried to the second floor restroom.

The upper floors were not open 24 hours. The lights had already been turned off. Ding Jiawang turned on his phone’s flashlight, illuminating their way towards the restroom.

Previously, Ye You would light up the dark, but now Ye You was invisible. Qin Sisi, not wanting Ding Jiawang to discover too many of her secrets, could only take out her phone for lighting as well.

In the restroom on the second floor, Qin Sisi checked each stall one by one, but still found nothing.

They climbed to the third floor, then fourth and fifth, but both the ladies’ and men’s restrooms were empty and quiet, the only sounds were their own voices.

Looking at the stairs leading to the sixth floor, tension and worry weighed on both of them.

Manten Plaza only had six floors, and if they still couldn’t find anything in the last restroom on the top floor, they would have to leave Manten Plaza.

But where would they go next? There were so many shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, and bars outside...

Feeling heavy-hearted, they climbed up to the sixth floor and, under the lights of their phone, walked towards the restroom.

Qin Sisi held her phone up and under the small area illuminated by her phone, she entered the ladies’ room and began to open the stall doors one by one.

Just as the previous ones, the first few stalls were empty, and Qin Sisi’s heart sank further. When she reached the last stall, she noticed a sign on the door: "Out of order."

Qin Sisi hesitated for a moment before deciding to push the door. In her memory, a non-operational restroom would be locked from the inside to prevent further use. However, with just a light push, the door swung open.

Just as Qin Sisi was pondering the oddity, she suddenly felt a pervasive coldness she recognized. The chill was not intense, but against the warm summer air, it felt strikingly conspicuous.

Narrowing her eyes to observe the inside of the stall, she could see the white squatting toilet and white tiles, but no sign of anyone— not a person or a ghost.

Then, a flicker of purple flame ignited in front of her, shedding some light on the surroundings.

"Go inside and check." Ye You’s voice echoed beside her.

Following his instruction, Qin Sisi stepped into the stall, entering the last restroom.

Standing inside the stall, the earlier chilliness was even more apparent. However, compared to the occasions when she had encountered ghosts, this was much milder.

After some contemplation, Qin Sisi whispered, "Was there a ghost here before, but it has now left?"

"That seems to be the case." Ye You agreed with Qin Sisi’s conjecture.

As Qin Sisi adjusted her footing, she felt she had stepped on something. Looking down, she saw a bow tie lying silently on the ground.

Qin Sisi bent down and picked up the bow. It had some dirt from where she had stepped on it. Other than that, the bow was new—its color pretty and soft, studded with shiny rhinestones, and very stylish.

Qin Sisi furrowed her eyebrows; why was there such a stylish, new bow in an out-of-order restroom?

Just then, Ding Jiawang’s voice echoed from outside the restroom, "Master Qin, are you okay?"

Qin Sisi quickly replied, "I’m fine, did you find anything?"

From outside, Ding Jiawang responded, "I found nothing, did you find anything?"

As she spoke, Qin Sisi stepped out of the restroom, opening her palm to reveal a pink bow to Ding Jiawang, asking, "Do you recognize this?"

Ding Jiawang’s complexion changed, his voice grew excited as he asked, "This is Jia Yuan’s, is she in there?"

Qin Sisi shook her head, "There’s no one inside, are you sure this is hers?"

Ding Jiawang confidently affirmed, "I’m sure. I saw her wearing it when she left home. I even joked about her looking so stylish, where was she headed."

Qin Sisi fell silent. The fact that Jia Yuan’s accessory was found here meant she had been here, and the restroom stall was once haunted by a ghost. Does that mean Jia Yuan met a ghost? But where would she and the ghost be now?

Just as they were both left dumbfounded, Ding Jiawang’s phone rang.

"Wu Menglei?" Ding Jiawang muttered before answering the call.

Whatever Wu Menglei said on the other end of the call changed Ding Jiawang’s complexion. In an anxious tone, he said, "It’s very close to your house, go check it out first, I’ll be there soon." 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

"What’s wrong?" Noticing something wrong, Qin Sisi quickly asked.

Ding Jiawang hung up the phone, a shadow over his face as he said to Qin Sisi, "Jia Yuan called Wu Menglei, told him to meet her at Rugui Hotel opposite his house, and threatened to kill herself if he didn’t show up. She’s completely lost her mind!"
