The two contemplated their current task, and it seems that they aren’t just doing a random quest just because this quest is necessary and can help them gain lots of money. They are doing this to have a hope of restoring Elaina’s life.

"Miss Yona, does that mean we will have to grow our own Heartroot Ginseng ourselves instead, considering you mentioned that the Heartroot Ginseng that you have doesn’t have the best qualities at the moment?" Adelaide asked to confirm her suspicions.

"Correct. If you are indeed looking for the special ginseng with the same trait to repair a soul, you two need to grow it. Of course, if you two can actually do that and achieve it. Otherwise, it will not be easy, and it might even take years to grow," Yona smiled.

"Years?! We can’t afford to wait for that long!" Arthur quickly protested.

Yona chuckled. "True. It is a long time to finish...but I never said that you two would need to do that, especially since you two are currently using Elaina’s farmland. That alone will save a lot of time on your growth time.

Adelaide frowned. "Eh? What do you mean?"

Yona was shocked. "Wait, don’t tell me...you guys don’t know?"

"What do we even need to know?" Arthur scratches his head in confusion.

Realizing that the twins have been blank, Yona sighed. "Honestly, it seems that Elaina did not even explain the unique trait that the farm currently has. However, I don’t think I am the best person to explain the stuff related to the farm lands. Best to ask the local Harvest Goddess about this if you two want to learn more. Ah...and before leaving..."

Yona snapped her fingers, and two pouches appeared in front of the twins. "There. The seeds for the ginsengs. Although they are not yet Heartroot Ginseng, they are guaranteed to become one. You two just needed to keep taking care of them and work hard for them to transform into one once you planted them. Whatever the two of you are currently doing, I wish you two good luck with that.

The twins are back at the table, staring at the pouches containing the seeds for the Heartroot Ginseng...or at least, the ginseng that would become one.

"What does Miss Yona mean about the secret of the farmland? Is there even a secret that we didn’t have any idea about? I thought we were very familiar with most things here? And Mother didn’t even tell us anything related to this?" Arthur is utterly confused by the recent development of things, and he is not sure whether they are still in control or there are more secrets that they need to uncover.

"Based on what Miss Yona mentioned, we needed to talk to the local goddess...and there’s no other local goddess in this place other than the Harvest Goddess. Perhaps she is the one we needed to ask about?" Adelaide suggested.

"You have something to ask me? Go ahead and ask away," the Harvest Goddess suddenly appeared before them, and the twins engrossed with their discussion didn’t notice when the Harvest Goddess had positioned herself near them.

"Holy sh*t! Don’t surprise us like that, Harvest Goddess!" Arthur nearly fell to his seat after the Harvest Goddess surprised them.

"Yeah. It’s bad for the heart to be surprised like that," Adelaide said, clutching her chest as she sighed in relief.

"You two are getting jumpy nowadays. What are you two even on about?" the Harvest Goddess was confused about what shenanigans the two were on right now.

"Hah...well, since you are asking now, guess it is best to indeed ask the question and be enlightened on the question that has been plaguing our minds just now. Hope you can answer us about this," Adelaide gave the Harvest Goddess a firm look.

"I don’t really have an inkling of what you two are on about, but if I can even answer that, then go ahead. Ask away."

The twins looked at each other, and Adelaide quickly fired the question to the Harvest Goddess, who was still a bit bewildered.

"Just now, Miss Yona said that the farm had a secret, and it is the necessary thing that we can exploit for us to grow something that would take years to do so. However, Miss Yona is a bit secretive and won’t tell us directly what it is. She redirected us to you to ask about it, as you are the right person for the job."

Hearing the explanation and what their question is all about, the Harvest Goddess chuckled. "Haha, so that’s what all this was. And here I thought there was something else going on, that I thought you two were doing something suspicious. This isn’t really a secret and more like a piece of knowledge that the two of you didn’t know about. Considering that the two of you are now the new farmers who are taking care of the land, it is also natural for me to tell you two about it."

The Harvest Goddess snapped her fingers, and a bowl of strawberries appeared before her hands. Well, first off, the information about exploiting the farmland to grow something that would take a lot of time to grow is not the right term there. Instead, you can say that the farmland has a trait that allows any kind of crop that takes a while to grow to get its growing time cut in almost half or more, depending on the crop. For example, you grow one crop that takes at least 6 days to grow on regular land. If the two of you decide to plant the seeds or saplings on the farm land, instead of the usual 6 days, it will instead grow in just 2 to 3 days."

"Isn’t that a bit too broken? Is that the reason why Mother and the Feys are capable of harvesting crops much faster and in bulk in just a span of days?" Arthur finally connected the dots.

"Yes. But there are more secrets that your mother and I share. It’s not much of a big secret to the Feys, but the others have no idea about it. However, now that the two of you have taken over the job, despite still being too much of a beginner for this job, you are eligible to know what this secret is."

"Is this still related to farming?" Arthur asked.

"Are you even listening, boy?" the Harvest Goddess glared at Arthur, who immediately received a light smack from Adelaide.

"Go on, Harvest Goddess. If this is a means to help Mother, we will utilize and take advantage of that," Adelaide was determined.

"Oh? This is the first time I’ve heard of this. You two are on a quest to do something for Elaina?"

"Yeah. We are doing this to wake our mother from her comatose state," Arthur answered while still rubbing his head after receiving a light smack in the head.

The Harvest Goddess was surprised. She lightly whispered to herself about this new development, "Huh...I didn’t expect the God of Farming to utilize another person to do his bidding."

"You saying something, Goddess?" Adelaide asked since she heard something.

"Nothing. Just reminiscing about the days when your mother was also doing stuff like that...but more for her personal gain than for doing it for others. You two are more on a personal quest that you two needed to fulfill. Well, anyway, this secret is the more thing that you two needed to know. If this involves farming a lot, then this will assist to make things easier for the two of you."

The Harvest Goddess snapped her fingers, and on the ground, a small sack appeared.

"A sack?" Arthur was in disbelief. He was expecting something more epic.

"Don’t think that this sack doesn’t have much and is a bit of a disappointment. After all, it isn’t the sack we are taking advantage of here, but the actual contents of the sack. Go on. Inspect it."

Adelaide is the first to approach the sack and opens it. Inside is something that looked like soil, but quite fine and a bit like sand. She is not sure what this is, so she tries smelling it. It doesn’t smell like anything, but it is coarse and feels like regular crushed soil.

"Is this crushed soil? Humus?" Adelaide guessed, not sure what it was.

"Close, but not quite. And besides, this isn’t soil. It is something you need to mix with the soil while planting," the Harvest Goddess provided a hint.

"Huh...I am not familiar with that kind of stuff," Arthur scratched his head.

Adelaide, on the other hand, quickly grasped what it was. "A fertilizer, huh? So what is the deal with this fertilizer?"

"You see, before your mother went out of commission due to her sister, she used a special fertilizer that she received from me. The first effect of that fertilizer was to stave off more days in the growing time for her crops. It was so useful that putting that as an addition to the farmland’s unique trait allows Elaina to pump out a lot of crops very fast. However, my fertilizer has a major flaw, and that is the fact that it doesn’t act much like a fertilizer and more like a growth enhancer. So I decided to tweak that fertilizer for quite some time myself. It took years, since it is hard to tweak it without having both effects counteract and cancel one another. But at long last, the fertilizer is now complete," the Harvest Goddess is looking proud of her creation.

"Uh...let me guess, aside from the growth enhancer, it also has the ability to make the yield bigger?" Arthur guessed.

"That’s one of the effects...but I added one more effect. And that effect is related to the harvest. There are some crops that, once you harvest them, will need to be replaced with another plant, right?
