Chapter 2005: Chapter 481: Life and Death, Reaping What You Sow (Part 8)
Butler Ziyu thought to himself that the Princess still harbored resentment, which is why she vented her frustration on a dress. In a way, it was understandable, so he waved his hand to dismiss it and focused on preparing for the engagement three days hence.
When Lorde heard about this, he was initially taken aback and then laughed at himself. She was using this to vent her dissatisfaction, even though this marriage was her choice...
"Young master, sir requests your presence." Lorde’s secretary appeared at the door.
Lorde stood up, tidied his collar, and walked out.
In the study, Sangque was seated behind the desk. Upon seeing Lorde enter, he darkly handed a document over, "Take a look."
Lorde took the document and quickly flipped through it, his brows furrowing deeper and deeper.
"I was right as I suspected; the force behind this woman is Erlang’s. She’s been hiding it very deeply," Sangque said through gritted teeth.
Lorde put the document back, thought for a moment, and said deeply, "It seems she’s no longer intending to hide."
Ever since the Princess moved into Feixi Castle, she hasn’t tried to conceal her forces, which have surfaced following Feixi Castle’s public unveiling.
"Erlang..." Sangque said through clenched teeth. Anyone associated with this name was destined for a cataclysmic disaster.
Lorde said deeply, "She likely plans to make a move at the engagement ceremony. Even my marriage to the Princess is part of her calculations, but..." Lorde smirked, "Everything is according to our plans, and nothing can change the outcome."
Sangque looked at his son in surprise, "Can you really handle it?"
"Even if there’s a 1% chance, we have to try." Lorde pressed his hands on the table, his deep gaze as unfathomable as a deep pool, leaving Sangque unable to decipher his son’s intentions.
"Father, I need your support."
Sangque suddenly laughed, stood up, and patted Lorde’s shoulder, realizing unknowingly that his son had grown much taller. He nodded with gratification.
"Alright, father will provide you with full support. Go ahead and do what you must."

The days drew closer, and Yun Ya found herself restless, a constant feeling of foreboding in her heart. She calculated over and over again all the possible events of that day, but in the end, it was a jumbled mess.
The more she thought, the more her head hurt.
Yun Ya raised a hand to rub her brow, hearing Gan Wei’er’s exaggerated screams from downstairs, and felt even more annoyed, speaking quietly, "What’s she yelling about now?"
She got up and went downstairs.
Gan Wei’er’s room had been a forbidden area these few days. Before even entering, a foul stench hit her nose. Yun Ya covered her mouth and nose with her hand, suppressing the urge to retch, and pushed the door open.
After days of torment, Gan Wei’er had become drastically thinner, her clothes hanging loosely on her body, as if a gust of wind could blow her away. That gaunt look was comparable to Yun Ya’s, but now her face was bloodied and horrifying to look at. Gan Wei’er clasped her face, rolling around on the floor, groaning about pain... itchiness... until she couldn’t stand it anymore and began banging her head against the wall, hoping to alleviate some of the suffering.
Indeed, seeing a hated person’s miserable state could improve one’s mood significantly. Yun Ya knew she was never a kind-hearted person; looking at the current Gan Wei’er, she felt no sympathy, only satisfaction.
Step by step, she walked up to her, looking down from above, and clicked her tongue while shaking her head, yet there was deep compassion in her clear eyes.
"Weiwei sister, how did you end up like this?"
Gan Wei’er dazedly looked up. The young girl stood there, gently and gracefully, elegant and noble, like a beautiful painting.
The compassion in her eyes... Gan Wei’er’s pupils suddenly contracted, and she screamed, "Get out..., get out of here."
