Chapter 2004: Chapter 481: Life and Death, Reap What You Sow (Part 7)

The butler said no more, instructed someone to serve tea, and then waited respectfully to the side.

Looking at the maids standing on both sides and then at the elegant and luxurious castle, Cheryl sighed inwardly. The princess had not yet appeared, but her presence was already overwhelming.

Suddenly, there was a soft sound of footsteps from the second floor. Cheryl looked up and saw a young girl slowly descending from the second floor. She was wearing a long white dress, gentle and graceful, elegant and noble, as if she was one with the magnificent castle behind her.

As the young girl came closer, his eyes were filled with an ever-deeper admiration.

Having mingled among socialites across various countries and seen many royal princesses, no princess had left as profound an impression on him as this girl. It was as though she was born to be a princess; her every frown and smile was elegant, her every movement noble, all making her seem so unique.

As the girl approached, her face was fully revealed, and Cheryl couldn’t help but draw in a sharp breath.

Hu Lin smiled and walked over. "Princess, sorry for the interruption, but could you spare some time to try on the gown, so any unsuitable parts can be adjusted?"

Yun Ya replied with a smile, "Sure, sorry to trouble you."

Hu Lin quickly said, "It’s no trouble."

Hu Lin glanced sideways at Cheryl, who immediately responded by pushing over a rectangular, upright wooden box. She opened the lid, revealing the gown hanging inside, resplendent in an instant, causing even the maids present to turn their heads with envy in their eyes.

Yun Ya glanced at it lightly, her eyes showing no joy, calm and still.

Noticing Yun Ya’s expression, Cheryl thought disappointedly, could it be that this gown isn’t to the princess’s liking?

Upon seeing the princess in person, she thought, only someone as perfect as the princess could bring out the brilliance of this gown.

Yun Ya said calmly, "Take the gown to my room."

Four maids lifted the box upstairs. Yun Ya returned to her room but sat down on the sofa instead. Xiao Nan stared at her confusedly, the princess having brought the gown to the room, wasn’t she going to try it on?

Yun Ya’s eyes coldly glanced at the resplendent gown, a dark shadow flickering in her eyes.

This was her engagement to another man, though fake, the engagement ceremony wouldn’t proceed, but thinking of Brother Yan still made her chest feel suffocated.

Yun Ya grabbed the scissors and, under Xiao Nan’s shocked gaze, snipped a cut at the gown’s hem. Clapping her hands, she finally smiled contentedly.

Yun Ya said lightly, "Take the clothes down."

Xiao Nan glanced at Yun Ya’s indifferent face, pursed his lips, and signaled for someone to take the box down. Cheryl looked at the gown with a hole, heartbroken beyond words. Each piece was like his child, and now his child had been stabbed, how could he not be sad?

"How could this be? How could it tear for no reason? This hole looks like...," her arm was suddenly nudged, Hu Lin glared at her warningly, though dissatisfied, Cheryl closed her mouth.

Hu Lin said with a smile, "It seems the princess is not satisfied with this gown, we will definitely design one that pleases the princess, we’ll take our leave now."

With that, she dragged Cheryl out of the castle.

Outside the castle, Cheryl said unhappily, "What does the princess mean? Even if she didn’t like it, she shouldn’t have deliberately torn it up, wasn’t that ruining my hard work?" As a designer, he could tell at a glance whether it was cut with scissors or torn accidentally.

Hu Lin gave him a cold glare, "Shut up, if you dare to say one more word about today’s events..." Before finishing, the threat was clear.

Cheryl pursed his lips and accepted his misfortune.

The princess was truly beautiful, but her temper was indeed strange, deliberately tearing up a perfectly good gown, was she dissatisfied with this marriage and taking it out on the dress?

Thinking of this possibility, Cheryl shivered suddenly, not daring to delve further, the water was too deep, survival was crucial, otherwise getting embroiled in these conflicts, he might not even know how he died.

"Three days to make another gown," Hu Lin’s cold voice suddenly rang out.

Cheryl reluctantly agreed, "I’ll do my best."

"Not your best, you must."

If I had known it would be like this, she would have never dared take on this project...

Afterwards, Yun Ya realized how ridiculous her actions were. What was the point of cutting up the dress? What was meant to come would come, and she only made herself seem willful.
