Chapter 2003: Chapter 481: Life or Death, Reap What You Sow (Part 6)

Yan Song hid in the shadows, looking at the woman standing high above, his cold eyes slightly narrowed.

As expected, she planned to make a move at the engagement ceremony. Everything was under his control. This time, he wanted to ensure this woman could never recover.

The woman seemed to sense something, suddenly turned around, her gaze sweeping the area, empty, with nothing there.

No one could possibly hide here, everything was clear at a glance.

The woman sneered sarcastically, shook her head, and turned to walk out.

Yan Song quietly followed her, and saw the woman enter a tea room. Passing through a shimmering wooden door, he saw someone lying on a soft couch behind a gauzy curtain.

The woman knelt there, her gentle voice murmuring, "Soon, we can be together forever."

She smiled slightly, her fingers penetrating the curtain, slowly covering the man’s face. The man’s eyes were partially closed, looking as if he were asleep.

The woman’s icy fingers glided inch by inch over the man’s brows, finally resting on his throat. Her slender fingers caressed over it, the chill like a sharp knife, seeming as though it could instantly slit his throat.

The curtain swayed, and Yan Song got a clear view of the man’s face, surprised in his eyes.

This man was Yun Shen.

So Yun Shen had been hiding here all along. He focused his gaze on the woman’s figure, finding her increasingly deranged. Didn’t she hate this man? Why then hold him captive by her side?

He simply could not comprehend this woman’s mindset, having not an ounce of familial affection for the Yun siblings, yet treating the man who betrayed her with such tenderness.

But if she weren’t a madwoman, there wouldn’t have been so much upheaval to follow.

The woman softly and tenderly said many things, while the man never awoke. Tired of talking, the woman lay down beside the man, naturally snuggling into his arms, pulling his arm around her waist. When she closed her eyes, a satisfied smile played on her lips.

Yan Song snorted coldly and turned to leave.

——

"Brother Yan...." Yun Ya exclaimed suddenly, sitting up abruptly.

Zhang Huasheng rolled his eyes: "Had another nightmare?" Offering a bowl of medicine to her: "Drink this."

There was still a lingering terror in Yun Ya’s eyes, making her look so fragile. Zhang Huasheng sighed, raising his hand to stroke her hair: "Don’t be afraid, Master is here."

Yun Ya sniffed, looking up with a smile: "Master, I’m not a child anymore."

"In Master’s eyes, you’ll always be a child. Come on, drink this bowl of medicine."

Yun Ya shook her head with a smile, obediently taking the bowl and forcing herself to drink it all.

"Master, did you do something to Gan Wei’er’s face?" Yun Ya thought of that terrifying greenish face, covered with blood blisters, just the thought made her scalp tingle.

Zhang Huasheng snorted coldly: "Hmph, if I don’t teach her a lesson, she’ll just come back to trouble you. Don’t worry, it won’t kill her, just make her shed a layer of skin." Zhang Huasheng said nonchalantly.

Yun Ya had no words in response. When it came to ruthlessness, she’d never surpass her master...

The persistent drizzle fell, the sky overcast, the wind and rain swaying outside the window. Such weather really dampened one’s spirits.

Hongxin knocked on the door, and upon getting permission, pushed the door open and entered, speaking respectfully: "Miss Hu Lin is here, she’s brought a designer and the engagement gown, for the Princess to try on and see if it fits."

In three days it would be the day of the engagement, in a blink, time passed so quickly.

"Alright, I’ll be down in a moment."

Cheryl was an internationally renowned designer, whose gowns were beloved by many royal princesses and socialites. Invited this time to design the engagement gown for Young Master Lorde’s fiancée, he took it very seriously, putting utmost effort into designing this gown. Today, he came personally to meet this famed Princess, her legend captivating the outside world, yet no one had ever seen her true face. With the thought of soon meeting her, he couldn’t help but take a deep breath, restraining the nervousness within.

From the moment he stepped into this castle, he knew this Princess was no ordinary person. Feixi Castle, its value beyond measure, wasn’t a place money and power alone could grant entry. Unexpectedly, this obscure Princess, turned it into her home.

Having visited Feixi Castle, he could speak of it with pride.

Hu Lin cleared her throat, and Cheryl immediately stood upright, the smiling butler speaking gently: "Please take a seat, both of you."

Hu Lin smiled and said, "There’s no need to be formal, Butler, we can stand."
