Chapter 498: Chapter 495: Keeping Her as a Wife for Cherie Would Be Nice, Too

"So, you all came back this time just to see me?" Seth Quinn’s gaze swept over the family of three.

"Hehe, nope." Jenna Quinn chuckled, answering breezily. "The main reason was to apologize to Clara."

Seth Quinn nodded. "Mm, you definitely should. I’ve already apologized, and so has Rowan Linden. That just leaves you and Cherie."

Jenna Quinn: "..."

’Is this some kind of group apology tour? Does everyone who helped deceive Clara Grant have to apologize one by one?’

’I never would have thought my little brother, who used to be ice-cold toward women, would one day dote on his wife to this extent!’

’Well, it seems my judgment wasn’t bad after all. This Clara Grant really knows how to handle Seth!’

The sound of Cherie and Clara Grant’s soft laughter drifted over. Seth Quinn turned his head to see Cherie holding fast to Clara’s hand. The two of them, one big and one small, were whispering secrets to each other.

Even though Cherie was only five—a toddler, not even a boy, let alone a man—he couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy watching him be so affectionate with his wife.

When he saw Cherie lean in and plant a loud "MWAH!" on Clara Grant’s cheek, only for Clara to smile sweetly and give him a big kiss right back, Seth Quinn’s brows knitted together tightly.

If he weren’t injured and unable to move, he probably would have jumped up and pulled them apart by now.

Seth seethed internally. ’If Cherie weren’t his own nephew, he’d be kicking him out right now!’

Annoyed by the sight, he shifted his gaze back to Jenna Quinn, only to find her staring at him with a sly, gleeful grin.

Seeing Seth Quinn look her way, Jenna Quinn’s eyes darted mischievously. She looked at Clara Grant and sighed. "You know, with a wonderful girl like Clara, if I hadn’t introduced her to you back then, saving her to be our Cherie’s wife wouldn’t have been a bad idea. Just look how much he adores her."

Seth Quinn: "..."

’His sister was unbelievable!’

"Cherie doesn’t have a chance. He’s only five, and Clara is already twenty-three," Seth Quinn said flatly, shooting her a cold glance.

"Oh, it’s only an eighteen-year difference. I don’t mind! As the saying goes, a wife three years older is a bar of gold. That means our Cherie could have six bars of gold!" Jenna Quinn said with a wide grin, holding up six fingers.

"You think Cherie’s little body can carry all that?"

"It’s fine. If he can’t, I’ll help him!"

"Clara doesn’t like Cherie!"

"Who says? Wasn’t Cherie the whole reason Clara agreed to marry you in the first place? If we asked her to divorce you for Cherie’s sake, she probably wouldn’t refuse."

"Jenna Quinn!" Seth Quinn finally lost his composure, hissing her name in a low, resentful warning.

Then he looked to Carter Shaw, who had been silent the whole time, and said, "Carter Shaw, aren’t you going to do something about your wife?"

Carter Shaw’s gaze fell softly on top of Jenna Quinn’s head. "Mm. My job is to spoil her, not to manage her."

Though his voice was soft, the affection in his words was impossible to hide.

Jenna Quinn looked up to meet his gaze, smiled sweetly, and snuggled into his arms, shooting a triumphant look at Seth Quinn.

Seth Quinn scoffed. Looking at the clingy couple, he showed no mercy. "If your relationship is so great, then why did she sneak back here with Cherie all by herself last time?"

"A misunderstanding, a misunderstanding! It was all a misunderstanding," Jenna Quinn said with a nervous laugh, all while shooting Seth Quinn a look that was a clear warning.

’That Seth! He just had to bring up the one thing he shouldn’t. Carter Shaw had been furious and worried sick last time when she’d secretly brought Cherie back to the country.’
