Chapter 680: Teaching a Child
"Big Sis, let me think about it, and I’ll get back to you in a couple of days, how about that?" Xia Chengyuan didn’t agree immediately, as he genuinely wanted to consider it well; their team indeed needed money.
"No problem, just call me when you’ve decided." Xu Mumu nodded with a cheerful smile.
She was doing all this because the stuff on her phone wasn’t interesting enough, and she was bored.
When Yin Yang came back that evening, Xu Mumu directly told him her plan. Yin Yang was amused yet exasperated; does his wife really have so much free time?
"You can go ahead and mess around with it; just don’t tire yourself out." Seeing that Xu Mumu was pretty idle at home, Yin Yang decided to let her tackle it, while also preparing to find her an assistant.
"I’ll get you an assistant tomorrow, that way you can delegate tasks." Yin Yang said seriously.
"Sounds good." Xu Mumu nodded. Despite dabbling in business for years, she was not a professional after all; these professional matters still needed professional handling.
The next day, Yin Yang brought an assistant for Xu Mumu. It was someone she had seen before—the tall, cold beauty of a special assistant who had gone on a business trip with them before.
"Hello, Special Assistant Yan." Xu Mumu curiously looked at her; she had a calm, indifferent demeanor, as if nothing interested her.
"Ma’am." Yan Buyu nodded without saying much, simply waiting for Xu Mumu to give her tasks.
Xu Mumu silently watched Yan Buyu; she’s indeed as quiet as her name suggests.
No wonder Yin Yang wanted to keep her at the company; all his previous assistants had been men.
With Yan Buyu around, Xu Mumu entrusted her with the tasks Du Yu had passed on.
On the other hand, Xia Chengyuan agreed sooner than anticipated. He might not know exactly how wealthy Yin Yang and Xu Mumu were, but they definitely weren’t short on money; having them as investors would certainly be ideal.
After Xia Chengyuan agreed, things became much simpler. The two drafted a contract, with Xu Mumu acquiring some shares in his company, and the rest would just be waiting for the investment to roll in, then they’d just collect the profits.
Xu Mumu laid out her thoughts, and Xia Chengyuan jotted down her words in his notebook.
The two chatted for a long time, and Yin Yang even came over for a meal.
It had been ages since Xu Xue cooked, and Xu Mumu was quite surprised; her cooking had improved significantly. Given a few more years, she might catch up with Madam Chun. Xia Chengyuan was really lucky.
"Don’t stay here too long; talking too much is tiring. There’s plenty of time to chat later." After dinner, Yin Yang was concerned about his little wife.
"Don’t worry, I know." Xu Mumu nodded; she just wanted to enhance the chat app features, maybe even introduce live streaming on social media.
As for larger projects like major online games, they’d have to wait. She didn’t have the energy for that now.
Although Yin Yang had the manpower, he was already busy enough and only had limited time to spend with her each day. She didn’t want to make him busier, as that would be asking for trouble, so instead aimed to trouble others.
Approaching Xia Chengyuan who was still in the startup phase was perfect timing.
Having voiced all her thoughts, Xu Mumu drank several glasses of water; constant talking was exhausting.
The remaining tasks were handed over to Yan Buyu, while Xu Mumu began her leisurely prenatal routine, waiting for Xia Chengyuan and his team to deliver what she needed.
She only hoped to spice up her dull life; otherwise, she wouldn’t bother with all this.
The software development had been fully entrusted to Xia Chengyuan by Yin Yang, who directed him to prioritize the development of smartphones; he just wanted to satisfy his wife by getting the touchscreen phone ready soon.
With Yin Yang’s support, Xia Chengyuan faced no obstacles and was fully committed to developing the software.
When Xu Mumu laid out her plans, Xia Chengyuan felt quite excited; the thought of these products emerging from his own hands was exhilarating in terms of achievement.
"Mom, I don’t want to go to kindergarten anymore." Doudou grumbled while eating an apple, clearly frustrated.
"What’s wrong? Are you being bullied at school?" Xu Mumu asked worriedly.
"No, it’s just that the stuff in kindergarten is too simple and boring." Doudou shook his head. Every day it’s either learning a few simple words or counting numbers, and the rest of the time is spent playing trivial games with the teacher; it’s not fun at all, just too childish.
"Didn’t your dad talk to you about this before? Do you remember what you promised? You shouldn’t go back on your word." Xu Mumu gently reminded him, realizing it was this matter; Yin Yang had anticipated it a long time ago.
Nevertheless, Xu Mumu thought it was good for her son to interact with kids his age; otherwise, he’d always act so grown-up, which was adorable, but she still wanted him to have a happy childhood.
"I just find kindergarten too boring." The little guy blushed; Dad had told him to be trustworthy and not break promises. This time, Dad had already warned him; he was the one who insisted on going to school, all because Uncle made it sound appealing, which tempted him to go.
"Doudou, you’re still young. Mom hopes you’ll be happier, and you should learn to blend in with your kindergarten friends. You get along well with the older kids in the village, so you can get along with the kids here too, right?" Xu Mumu softly encouraged.
"But they always cry; they don’t know how to climb trees to find bird nests or catch fish in the water." The little guy pouted.
"Everyone’s living environment is different. Kids in the city know other things." Xu Mumu explained helplessly; rural kids were used to a wild upbringing, while the gap between them and kids who received elite education from a young age was huge; they were behind from the start.
The little guy didn’t quite understand and looked adorably confused, prompting Xu Mumu to plant a kiss on his cheek.
"It’s like you and your uncle; you’ve learned so much, but your uncle hasn’t learned those things—even among people, there are differences." Xu Mumu explained patiently.
"Then I’ll ask Grandpa to teach Uncle." The little guy pondered.
"Mom, I want to be in the same class as Uncle and go to elementary school." The little guy looked at Xu Mumu expectantly, finding kindergarten too dull; he believed studying with Uncle would be fun.
