Chapter 679: Seeking Cooperation with Xia Chengyuan

"My phone’s about to die. Let’s go out for a walk; playing on the phone for too long isn’t good for the eyes," Yin Yang said helplessly, knowing full well his wife had been playing for quite a while already.

"Got it," Xu Mumu finally put down her phone after checking the time—it had been almost two hours without her realizing.

Once she put down her phone, Yin Yang took Xu Mumu out for a stroll in the backyard.

There, Madam Chun was giving two dogs a bath, while a little fox lay lazily on a stone, sunbathing and looking utterly relaxed.

As soon as the little fox saw Xu Mumu approaching, it lightly leaped onto her shoulder.

The little fox had been at home for over half a year; its injuries had long healed, and it had grown a lot.

Xu Mumu raised her hand to stroke the little fox’s fur, which was incredibly soft and regularly groomed by Madam Chun, feeling extremely smooth.

"It’s gained quite a bit of weight," Xu Mumu remarked.

Of course, the little fox didn’t understand what Xu Mumu was saying; its fluffy tail brushed against Xu Mumu’s face, showing a sense of closeness.

The two dogs, upon seeing Xu Mumu, wanted to rush to her, but Madam Chun stopped them. Xu Mumu was pregnant now, and these dogs were big. If they accidentally knocked Xu Mumu down, it would be trouble.

Seeing the dogs’ forlorn looks, Xu Mumu laughed outright.

"Madam is out walking, too?" Madam Chun chatted with Xu Mumu while washing the dogs.

"Yes, Madam Chun. You’re so busy every day; soon we’ll hire a couple more servants so you can have a proper rest," Xu Mumu said, noticing the white hair on Madam Chun’s head, which had turned predominantly white.

"It’s fine; I’m quite fulfilled this way. Besides, the dogs are well-behaved, and I enjoy caring for them," Madam Chun replied with a smile. Having no children of her own, and with the little master caught up in studies and the elders competing to take care of him, she had less time with Doudou.

"In a few days, I’ll have a few people transferred from the old house," Yin Yang said calmly. Madam Chun was getting older and indeed needed to rest properly; he hadn’t noticed before since she’d been so busy all the time.

After Yin Yang and Xu Mumu strolled around the backyard for a while, Yin Yang took Xu Mumu back to the room to rest.

"How was Doudou at school today?" Xu Mumu asked, enjoying Yin Yang’s massage while seated on the sofa.

"Pretty good. I saw that he adapted quickly. Don’t worry; our son is quite capable," Yin Yang chuckled softly.

"Tell me what you saw," Xu Mumu said, showing great interest in Yin Yang’s account. Had she not been pregnant, she would have wanted to go see him herself, taking photos of her son at school.

The little guy obediently sitting in the classroom, seriously holding a pen and studying, must look cute.

Thinking of this, Xu Mumu felt regret once more; she wished she could have taken her son to school.

Yin Yang laughed as he recounted the scenes he witnessed today, honestly expressing that seeing their son go to school gave him the illusion of how quickly he was growing up.

Listening to Yin Yang’s recounting, Xu Mumu felt even more regret.

She patted her belly, thinking that once the baby was born, she’d personally take the child to school.

During lunch, the absence of a child made Xu Mumu feel a little uneasy, wanting to serve the little one some dishes, only to realize he was off at school.

After resting with Xu Mumu in the afternoon, Yin Yang went off to handle business at the company, while Xu Mumu stayed at home reading.

Yin Yang specially arranged for soothing music to be played at home for prenatal education, sending back some CDs.

Xu Mumu flipped through her phone; the entertainment news nowadays was scarce and utterly boring, even the chat software remained quite crude.

Now that Yin Yang was so busy, Xu Mumu didn’t want to trouble him. She thought of someone suitable.

It was Xu Xue’s husband, Xia Chengyuan, who was bound to become a big shot in this field. Who knew if he had something going already?

With that thought, Xu Mumu simply called Xu Xue.

Xu Xue had come out of confinement recently after giving birth to a son, whom Mumu had visited.

Xu Mumu called, finding Xu Xue nursing her child, somewhat puzzled at receiving a call from her—it was quite surprising.

"Hey, why are you calling our family?" Xu Xue asked curiously.

"I need to talk to you and your husband," Xu Mumu straightforwardly said. "Are you and your husband at home?"

"Yes, we are. Is there something up?" Xu Xue raised an eyebrow slightly.

"It’s about making money. I need a bit of help from your husband," Xu Mumu laughed, "I’ll come over soon."

After saying a few words, Xu Mumu hung up and called Zhou Yunhong, asking him to drive her to Xu Xue’s place.

Being familiar with Xu Mumu’s household affairs, Zhou Yunhong simply drove Mumu over to Xu Xue’s place and stayed put with her.

"You’re here just following me; don’t you have work to do?" Xu Mumu asked, puzzled. She knew Zhou Yunhong, as Yin Yang’s trusted aide, was never free.

"Yang told me to accompany you; I’ve already scheduled everything, so you don’t need to worry, sister-in-law," Zhou Yunhong laughed, scratching his head.

"Alright then, stay with me," Xu Mumu nodded, saying no more, feeling assured with Zhou Yunhong by her side, giving Yin Yang some peace of mind.

Arriving at Xu Xue’s house, Xu Xue and her husband were already waiting, the little one already asleep.

"What on earth do you need us for?" Xu Xue asked curiously.

"Sister, don’t hesitate to speak; if I can help, I certainly will," Xia Chengyuan said warmly.

"Alright, I’ll get straight to it," Xu Mumu laughed, then explained her purpose.

"Your ideas are great, sister, but they won’t be realized overnight," Xia Chengyuan said thoughtfully, her ideas giving him many quite good inspirations.

Xu Xue found herself increasingly interested in Xu Mumu. In her previous life when she died, although smartphones had surfaced, they were nowhere near as ubiquitous as today’s. The shifts here seemed to be heavily influenced by Xu Mumu.

What Xu Mumu talked about sounded intriguing, and if brought to life, indeed, it would offer great convenience.

"I’m not expecting you to develop it overnight. I’m not short on money right now, and your husband should have a team, right? How about I invest in your team?" Xu Mumu proposed to Xia Chengyuan, as he was the most suitable candidate she could think of—he had the manpower, and with Xu Xue’s funds unable to keep up with his spending, plus the kinship factor, seeking him was far more reliable than others.
