Chapter 561: Doudou’s Abnormality
"No, handling those things is the same everywhere. Anyway, this is all my property." Yin Yang said calmly.
Sure enough, the next day Yin Yang moved his office to the second floor of the experimental building. Here, he set up a special rest area. Not only did he come along, but he also brought his team with him.
Xu Mumu twitched the corner of her mouth. This guy seemed to be on vacation.
Yin Yang even brought Doudou along, working while watching the child.
The people in Yin Yang’s team nearly popped their eyes out. This boss they saw as an elite instantly became a stay-at-home dad. The contrast before and after was simply unbelievable.
Xu Mumu silently glanced at the curious eyes around her, then looked at the calm Yin Yang taking care of the child, and quietly moved her eyes away.
She could already imagine how Yin Yang’s image had shattered in the eyes of these people, yet he didn’t care at all.
Unable to watch any longer, Xu Mumu directly went off to handle the tasks she needed to complete.
However, with the child around, Xu Mumu wasn’t completely at ease. She periodically came over to check on him, wondering if he had peed, pooped, or was hungry. Throughout the day, she didn’t get much work done.
Aside from feeding the child, most of the other things were done by Yin Yang.
The small team of people watched as their elegant boss transformed into a particularly patient dad. After the little guy had been cuddled and played with enough, he’d take him out for a few laps on the balcony.
This place was new to the little guy who found it quite curious; every time he was taken out for a walk, he was especially happy.
After spending two days there, once she knew Yin Yang could completely manage taking care of the child, Xu Mumu only occasionally had to come by to nurse the child. Then she fully immersed herself in her inspirations. With some guidance from Professor Song earlier, many things became clear for her, making her experiments remarkably smooth.
Even while taking care of the child, Yin Yang easily completed his work quickly. If he weren’t worried about the little one catching a cold, given the little one’s love for everything outside, he’d have thought about taking him for a stroll around the village.
Regardless, he still took the little guy for a couple of visits to the estate.
"Mumu, I think our son seems to have quite a bit of strength." After soothing the little guy to sleep, lying on the bed, Yin Yang shared today’s discovery with Xu Mumu.
He took the little guy for a walk around the estate. Passing by some curtains, the little guy directly pulled them down. He checked and saw the curtains’ fixed spot wasn’t damaged in any other way; it was just this little guy who tore the fabric at the junction.
He tried pulling down curtains at other places and found he had to use considerable force to tear them at the junction.
Seeing it at first startled him, especially since it was just the two of them there.
"Are you saying he inherited my superpower?" Xu Mumu widened her eyes, thinking it was quite magical. Her superpower had grown much stronger since arriving, and now she could easily control it without it causing trouble in her life.
"Seems like it. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have such strength. This little rascal, he laughs easily; it almost scared me to tears." Yin Yang said with a helpless smile.
After experiencing these events, they were only scared for a moment, but upon reflection, he thought this was a good thing. As their child had considerable strength, they planned to send him to the army for training so he would have enough power to protect himself.
"What then? What if someone finds out?" Xu Mumu was a little worried. This is a peaceful era, and such strength is rare. She only used her superpower when someone threatened her.
"No worries, before the child understands things, we should keep him close and try not to let his mom know, lest they get worried." Yin Yang said seriously.
"I’ll listen to you." At this point, there’s no better advice, and Xu Mumu just wanted to hide her child’s abnormality.
This matter began to distress the couple. The little guy was completely unaware, and soon enough, Xu Mumu noticed her little rascal’s strength. The little guy grabbed her hair, tugging hard, almost pulling out a handful of it.
Xu Mumu spent quite a bit of effort to free her hair from the little rascal’s hand.
After this experience, Xu Mumu handed the child over to Yin Yang, then quickly went to the hair salon to cut her hair short.
Having long hair gave a gentle appearance, but cutting it to shoulder length made it easier to tie and leave down, quite convenient. Most importantly, her little rascal couldn’t grab it anymore.
Watching the little guy amused by the rattle, even the progress in the lab couldn’t make Xu Mumu that happy. It’s a worry, yet the little guy understands nothing.
Ever since their son was taken to the village, Li Caixia and the others had less time to oversee the little one. Li Caixia came over to Xu Mumu to complain several times.
Xu Mumu, on the pretext of missing the child over there, brushed off the issue.
Yin Yang chose toys for the little guy that were mostly plush ones, fearing he’d crush rattles or toy cars in front of the whole family, which would put them in an unsolvable situation.
Xu Mumu agreed strongly with Yin Yang’s ideas. All the little guy’s clothes were specially reinforced by Yin Yang, and the toys were replaced with plush ones.
Coming back after her exams, Xu Jiaojiao almost burst out laughing seeing the changes at her sister’s home.
"Big sister, are you planning to raise Doudou as a little girl?" Xu Jiaojiao laughed. This Imperial City trip was merely a formality, and she barely made it through. Her skills weren’t up to par compared to those carefully cultivated kids, so she was eliminated.
She knew this outcome long ago, and the girl wasn’t disappointed at all; instead, she indulged in a shopping spree in the Imperial City, buying lots of things to bring back. Doudou’s clothes and toys had quite a pile added, while the rest were sent, since Xu Jiaojiao wasn’t on holiday yet. Yin Yang’s people took them back for her parents and younger brother.
"Yes, while he’s still little, I’ll raise him as a girl. You don’t know, I wanted to have a daughter back then. Daughters are soft and nice, certainly better than coarse sons. While he understands nothing, I’ll dress him up, fulfilling my wishes." Xu Mumu said with a straight face.
"If you both like daughters so much, then just have another one." Xu Jiaojiao laughed. The poor kid, being raised as a girl by his parents; once he grows up and finds out, he might cry.
