Chapter 556: Full Moon Celebration
"You better not go. You’re still in confinement now, your health is more important." Professor Song said seriously, letting Yin Yang send them off instead.
Saying goodbye to the Xu Family, Yin Yang directly sent them onto the train.
The journey to the Imperial City is long, so Yin Yang prepared everything necessary for them and arranged for someone to pick up the two elderly gentlemen there.
When he got home, Xu Mumu was feeding the baby. Watching this scene, Yin Yang’s ears turned a bit red and he averted his gaze.
"Mumu, I’m going to the company for a bit. Yun Hong said there’s a major collaboration and they need me there; they can’t make the decision themselves." Yin Yang said gently.
"Come back early." Xu Mumu nodded. The matters on Yin Yang’s side were more important, so she stayed home with the child.
If they weren’t stopping her from going out, she’d probably want to run a few laps — staying home is really boring.
After Yin Yang left, Xu Mumu held the little one and played some soothing music; the little one quite liked listening to those songs from the CDs.
The baby’s beautiful eyes looked around, wanting to reach out to grab things, though right now his hands weren’t strong enough. Xu Mumu brought a rattle over and shook it in front of the baby.
The sound of the rattle made the baby very happy, a smile appeared on his white, tender little face.
Xu Mumu also started to smile; how is her son so adorable? His smile is so cute, and his features resemble Yin Yang’s, making him look even more handsome. He’ll definitely be a heartthrob in the future.
"Mumu, give me the rattle, I’ll shake it for him." Li Caixia, watching her grandson smile, immediately wanted to take the rattle to make him smile at her too.
Xu Mumu laughed and handed the rattle to her mother. Luckily, the little one was very cooperative; Li Caixia only shook the rattle a few times before the baby laughed again and reached for the rattle.
"Oh, my sweetie, seeing you laugh melts my heart." Li Caixia clutched her chest, her daughter really cooked a good one; look at how well-behaved this child is.
"Mom, would you like to hold him a bit?" Xu Mumu asked with a smile, carefully handing the baby to Li Caixia.
"Yes, please." The baby was held by his grandma, and had gotten familiar enough with the family not to cry when held by others.
"Our Doudou will be the best looking when he grows up." Li Caixia played with the rattle to amuse the little one, wishing she could proudly show him around.
"Of course, the best looking for sure." Xu Mumu laughed, his parents are pretty decent, aren’t they?
In the evening, Xu Minghui came back with a pretty stroller, somewhat like the ones from later generations, surprising Xu Mumu.
"Brother, where did you get this stroller from?" Xu Mumu asked Xu Minghui, truly curious — strollers shouldn’t really exist in this era, should they?
"I saw quite a few when I was stocking goods, so I got several to put in the department store and brought one back. Now you can push this stroller to take Doudou out to play." Xu Minghui said with a smile.
"Do you know who made it?" Xu Mumu asked curiously. Could it be a time traveler or someone reborn? The Old Xu Family already has two time travelers or reborn ones, so it’s not entirely impossible.
"It’s a specialized maternal and infant factory, seems to be new, over at Min’an." Xu Minghui didn’t think as much as Xu Mumu, just directly shared the information with her.
"I see." Xu Mumu noted down the information, planning to learn more when she gets a chance.
That night, while preparing to sleep, Xu Mumu shared her suspicions with Yin Yang.
"I know a bit about the maternal and infant factory in Min’an. Their director specializes in maternity and infant products, and the business is doing well, gradually expanding." Yin Yang thought for a moment before replying.
"What products do they have?" Xu Mumu, curious, asked. Was excited to know that Yin Yang had knowledge of this.
Yin Yang briefly explained to Xu Mumu that, since the factory is new, he doesn’t feel comfortable with their products, so he didn’t consider them when preparing things for their child.
Yet, he had seriously looked into it and knew which products they offered.
Listening to Yin Yang’s explanations, Xu Mumu wasn’t skeptical anymore; those items were mostly things only available in this era, with the stroller being an exception.
Yin Yang, hearing Xu Mumu’s thoughts, decided to look into it seriously; the stroller is indeed handy, when the child gets tired of being held, he can be put in the stroller and pushed out to play.
Xu Mumu didn’t dwell on the issue, trusting Yin Yang to look into it, just waiting for the result later.
In just a few days, the results Xu Mumu wanted were brought over by Yin Yang.
The maternal and infant factory didn’t offer any out-of-the-ordinary products. As for the stroller design, it was sold to the factory by an elder artisan, who took quite some time drawing the plans before being willing to sell them.
The elder profited quite a bit from selling the design plans.
With the strollers entering the market, business was promising; maternal and infant market had a good flow due to lack of similar factories nearby, rapid growth followed naturally.
Xu Mumu felt a bit disappointed; it wasn’t as she imagined.
But this matter quickly passed for Xu Mumu as the baby’s full moon celebration arrived swiftly, guests from the old hometown came early, including family from Jiang Yuxiu’s side, represented by her mother — her father was occupied and couldn’t attend.
The guests were all relatives from the family, Xu Family having quite a few, filling three to four tables along with Huo Qingze and Yu Xinyao.
Yu Xinyao brought along items for Xu Mumu, including the tiger head hat and shoes she’d mentioned before; they were incredibly cute, which had Xu Mumu eagerly put them on her son.
The little one definitely inherited Yin Yang’s looks, making everything look good on him, of course excluding those chosen by her mother.
"Yaoyao, could you help us take a few photos?" Xu Mumu took out the camera, had intentionally changed into new clothes and put on light makeup, Yin Yang had tidied himself up too, aiming to snap some shots to keep, to record the little one’s growth over time.
"Sure, don’t worry, I’ll definitely make you all look good." Yu Xinyao said with a smile.
"Then I’m counting on you." Xu Mumu smiled and nodded.
Xu Mumu held the child, Yin Yang carefully embraced both mother and child, the three of them standing together looked exceptionally picturesque as the camera rapidly captured several photos.
In addition to shots of the child, there were ones of Xu Mumu and Yin Yang too; the rest focused on the baby.
