Chapter 1955: Chapter 1952: Comprehending One’s Own Path

The longsword’s blade shone clear as water, its sharpness hidden, yet the aura followed as if a shadow, exactly the Hua Ying Sword Lin Tian had gifted Miss. Now she was using it to stab him, its speed incredibly swift.

Lin Tian broke out in a cold sweat. The Hua Ying Sword could harm a zombie body, and this was not something he could test firsthand. He tapped his foot and quickly dodged to the side. A delicate jade hand reached out to grasp the hilt, swiftly flicking the blade tip, and Lin Tian evaded again, the sword tip narrowly grazing past his pants.

With a light ’ding’, the pants were cut open, and Lin Tian felt a chill, realizing his pants were completely exposed.

"Miss, you’re being indecent!" Lin Tian deliberately shouted.

Miss saw her handiwork and felt embarrassed, her face turning red. Yet recalling how Lin Tian nearly caught her changing earlier, anger bubbled up inside her. She pointed her sword at Lin Tian, irritated, and said, "Out!"

"Alright, I’ll head out." Lin Tian glanced at the perfect figure under the sheet before retreating reluctantly, unable to help but admire how Miss had grown. Mrs. Xiao’s genes were truly powerful.

After exiting the room and closing the door behind him, coincidentally, he ran into Xiao Manxuan, attracted by the noise. Her joyful smile immediately appeared and her cheeks flushed with excitement at seeing Lin Tian, paired with her adorable apron, making her all the more tempting.

"Xuanxuan, long time no see, did you miss me?" Lin Tian laughed heartily, opening his arms for a hug.

The little girl stepped back, brandishing a spatula at Lin Tian, her stance identical to Miss’s earlier with the sword. She giggled playfully, "No way, you big pervert."

Fine then, right upon his return, Lin Tian was labeled a big pervert by the sisters; he was left speechless.

"By the way, why didn’t you say a word about your return so I could pick you up? But your timing is perfect; I’m cooking." Xiao Manxuan put down the spoon, slightly pouting.

Lin Tian scratched his brow, feeling a bit awkward, "I intended to surprise you, not frighten you." Just earlier, seeing her sister changing, he felt quite like a thief; although it wasn’t intentional.

"Frighten?" Xiao Manxuan paused, puzzled. Just then, the room door opened, and Miss emerged from her chamber.

Miss had changed her clothes, and Lin Tian recognized them as Xiao Manxuan’s dress. The sisters were of similar height, but being the younger one, Xiao Manxuan was a bit more petite as she hadn’t fully developed yet.

The dress was naturally slightly small, but on Miss, it perfectly exemplified an S-curve figure, what you would call a devilish figure, filling out the dress completely, making Lin Tian involuntarily swallow hard.

Seeing Lin Tian’s gaze darting back and forth, Miss’s face flushed again, secretly shooting him a glare.

"What brings you here, Miss?" Lin Tian smiled, breaking the silence first.

"You two chat, I’m still cooking." Xiao Manxuan suddenly remembered her kitchen task, hurriedly running back, leaving Lin Tian alone again in the living room.

Miss bypassed Lin Tian and sat on the sofa, then spoke, "I just came to Jinghua City, so I decided to see Xuanxuan. You, on the other hand, disappeared for several days."

"I visited the Zhang Family," Lin Tian said directly, without hiding.

"Zhang Family? Demon Exorcism World’s Zhang Family!" Miss first looked puzzled and then startled.

Lin Tian nodded and continued, "About the Blood Moon incident, which you know about from last time. My visit to the Zhang Family is related to this matter, but I can’t disclose the specifics."

Miss looked at Lin Tian for a while, hesitating, "Are you... doing this for Xuanxuan?"

"Yes, I promised you I would find a way to solve the problem of alien energy, ensuring Xuanxuan’s lifelong happiness," Lin Tian stated solemnly.

"Thank you, Lin Tian." Miss seemed to have many things to say, but finally, they were all condensed into two words of thanks: "Just now, I behaved that way, you... Are you... alright there?"

Finishing her last sentence, Miss blushed like the evening glow and dared not meet Lin Tian’s gaze.

"I’m fine, thank you, Miss, for holding back." Lin Tian instinctively replied, then paused, realizing there might be some ambiguity in his words.

Sure enough, Miss’s face turned even redder, muttering softly, "Big pervert, who was holding back for you..."

Lin Tian realized his words were too presumptuous, and swiftly changed the subject, "By the way, judging by your earlier moves, you’ve improved a lot."

Seeing Lin Tian wasn’t teasing, Miss somewhat recovered, nodding slightly, "I’ve been enlightened by Kunlun Travel left by my grandmaster. The swordsmanship is like snow, laying ice upon the earth, with barriers towering thousands of feet; nature is the pinnacle swordmaster, capable of shaping the land like a master artist."

"However, I feel I’m lacking something, unable to break through the final barrier and reach the Innate Realm." Miss expressed regret and confusion, questioning what precisely she lacked.

Lin Tian pondered and ventured, "Tang Rushuang, the founder of Qingshuang Pavilion, because of the tragic death of her lover, saw through worldly affairs, comprehended the emotions and desires, and consequently, broke from them, reaching the ultimate realm of swordsmanship."

"Therefore, your swordsmanship emphasizes breaking from emotions and desires, only then can the sword’s edge pierce through all things. Yet, you happen to have numerous attachments in your heart, preventing you from taking that crucial step," Lin Tian said earnestly.

Miss froze momentarily, then revealed an expression of enlightenment, but soon turned despondent, "I can’t break from emotions and desires; perhaps I won’t advance any further in this lifetime."

Lin Tian, however, shook his head with a smile. Miss shot him a glare, pouting, "You can laugh, I’m not talking to you anymore."

"Haha, you’re quite adorable like this." Lin Tian laughed heartily, prompting Miss’s embarrassed fury; seeing the lady CEO was turning red, he collected himself and spoke seriously, "There are countless paths in swordsmanship; who says practicing swordsmanship must involve breaking from emotions and desires? It’s the dilemma of those entangled in it."

"Remember the Hua Ying Sword I gifted you? The sword of Emperor Zhuanxu, it was said the Hua Ying Sword pointed to water, causing floods to recede, pointed to earth for crops to grow, pointed to trees to bear fruit, saving countless lives. It’s not a sword for slaughter devoid of emotions; instead, it’s a sword of life filled with love."

"In my view, the Hua Ying Sword perfectly suits you; you don’t need to break from emotions and desires. Follow your heart, tread your path, enlighten your own way. Enlightening someone else’s way ultimately limits your achievements. What do you think?" Lin Tian stared into her eyes, his words seemingly carrying a magical power.

Miss was once again taken aback but soon a myriad of light appeared in her eyes, and the confusion vanished completely. This state lingered for quite some time, and she suddenly rose to embrace Lin Tian, tears flowing from her eyes.

Joyful tears, filled with happiness—it was the feeling of discovering a way out amid confusing twists in her path, all originating from Lin Tian’s inspiration.

As they embraced, Miss felt something amiss. Releasing Lin Tian, she looked closely, and her face turned bright red like a flame.
