Chapter 836: Interuptions after Interuptions
Just as Xiaoyun was putting the tip up against her ripped panties, a faint crying sound from the other side of the wall made him freeze in place.

Grabbing the phone and checking the caller on the screen, it was Lingang out of all people calling him at an ungodly hour.
"Hello?"
"Commander Chen, can you drive me to the Command Center? My car’s tire went out today." Lingang requested.
"Are you back home already?" Xiaoyun questioned back.
"Yeah. I had been home since last night."
"Okay, I’ll drive you when I leave my house. And if I don’t get there in time, you should call Yiming or something."
As Xiaoyun hung up the call, he could see the hint of unhappiness on Lily’s face as she sat patiently on the bed.
"Sorry about that."
"I know you’re a busy man. But never had I imagined you being this busy." Lily grumpily murmured as he walked closer to the bed.
"You know, it’s just been a busy week... Ahem, let’s stop talking about work and have a little fun, shall we?"
Before Xiaoyun could unzip his pants, his phone suddenly started ringing once again.
"For fuck sake."
"Check it."
Once again, Xiaoyun grabbed the ringing phone on the bedside. This time, it was Houqin who was calling him.
"Hello—"

As the call came to an abrupt end on the other side, Xiaoyun’s mind was a little confused by it.

After a short hug, Xiaoyun turned around and left the room, leaving Lily all alone in her bedroom once again.
"Why did I let him go again?"

"Lily, have you ever wondered where your parents are now?" Leyan suddenly asked.
"My parents? I never really thought about them since living in this house." Lily answered, her face didn’t remotely saddened by it.
"That’s good. It’s better to worry less about something out of your control... Lily, you’re a lot braver than I am."
"What do you mean by that—"
"Waaa!"
As the baby crying from the other room interrupted their conversation, Leyan immediately got up from the bed.
"Oh, I’ve got to go now. Lily, you should sleep in for a bit. You still have a few hours before school starts."
With the door closing, Lily finally got up from the bed as she threw away her ripped clothes and panties into the bin.
