Chapter 409: Chapter 409: Felix Kendall Has Sneaked In

Rather than a secret room, this place feels more like a small library. Books are everywhere, dazzlingly abundant.

There’s also an entire wall of blackboard, covered with various equations. Including physics, chemistry, biomolecules... some of which Tanya Sinclair struggles to understand.

In the corner, there’s a piano with old sheet music placed on it. Tanya Sinclair looks at the piano feeling a sense of familiarity, but she doesn’t have time to think more about it. The rumored odd man from Room No.1, at this moment, is lying on the wooden bed, barely alive.

Tom strides over to Tanya Sinclair, his face worried: "Ms. Sinclair, do you really know medicine?"

Tanya Sinclair: "If you trust me, step aside."

Tom is taken aback by her words, feeling a bit embarrassed but not daring to say much.

He steps aside, reminding her meaningfully: "Ms. Sinclair, you’d better not try any tricks on me."

Tanya Sinclair ignores him and goes straight towards the man on the bed.

The man’s hair is long and messy, he wears glasses, and his beard seems to have gone unshaved for an unknown time, appearing like a wild man, unable to see his original appearance clearly.

Tanya Sinclair checks his pulse, quickly assessing that he is suffering from acute poisoning.

But clearly, there are no dialysis facilities here.

Tanya Sinclair ponders briefly and makes a bold decision.

"I need to perform silver needle bloodletting, but I can’t guarantee the effect." She looks at Tom, "If you trust me, I can take a gamble. If not, then you can only watch him die."

"..." Tom ponders with a sullen face.

If this person dies on the island, he won’t be able to answer for it.

But if he dies at Tanya Sinclair’s hands, it makes it easier for him to escape responsibility...

"Alright." Tom agrees, signaling his men to fetch what Tanya Sinclair needs.

None of the people here have seen silver needle bloodletting as a treatment. Watching Tanya Sinclair insert the needle into the man’s body and draw out the blackened blood, each of them shows signs of astonishment.

"Boss." Tom’s confidant whispers, "Can this woman do it? What if she ends up killing him..."

Tom says meaningfully: "Better he dies at her hands than ours."

Just then, another subordinate rushes in, whispering a few words to Tom.

Tom’s expression changes dramatically, "Damn it! Felix Kendall, I’m going to kill you!"

Tanya Sinclair doesn’t understand the local language, but she hears Felix Kendall’s name, her brows slightly moving as she continues the bloodletting process.

Tom instructs them to keep an eye on Tanya Sinclair and quickly turns to leave.

When Tom arrives at his plantation, all that’s left is a pile of ashes; nearly three-quarters of the opium poppies have been burned!

Tom is so infuriated his lungs nearly explode; he turns back, glaring angrily at a group of subordinates covered in soot and kicks the nearest one over.

"Trash! You’re all fucking trash!" He roars furiously, "Twenty-something of you guarding the field, and you let Felix Kendall burn it!"

The subordinate protests, "Boss, that guy Kendall is too fast, like a ghost. He deliberately fell into our hands several times before, just to study our situation. This time, out of our twenty-something brothers, we lost over ten, some were burned beyond recognition..."

Tom angrily says, "Gather the men and capture Kendall; I want to chop him up myself!"

Just as Tom finishes speaking, another subordinate rushes over to report, "Boss! Boss, it’s bad! Several other forces on the island have teamed up and come looking for you! Our siege of the village using children as hostages has angered them; now they want you to go out and give them an explanation!"

Tom smirks coldly: "What’s the panic? We have backup, they wouldn’t dare go against The Pierce Family! Let’s go, I’ll meet them! Might as well vent some anger!"

Tom leads his men outside.

The last "subordinate" with a black face walks slower and slower; the person next to him looks back and urges, "Catch up!"

Felix Kendall squats down, lowering his head: "You go ahead, I’m tying my shoe lace."

The other doesn’t move, suspiciously staring at him, frowning in confusion: "Which team are you with? I never..." He doesn’t finish his sentence before Felix Kendall suddenly punches and knocks him out.

Felix Kendall catches him steadily, quietly drags him to the corner, and opens the faucet next to him to wash his face.

His expression is cold and clear.

He carefully listened to Tom’s words earlier; he’s backed by The Pierce Family... On Pyralis Island, the only one capable of making these forces fear is The Pierce Family!

The real person in power now in the Pierce Family is Declan Pierce.

Seems his earlier suspicions were correct; it was indeed Declan Pierce who planned all this, deliberately sending Tanya Sinclair here... But why?

Felix Kendall slightly frowns.

For now, the only way to know the answer is to find Tanya Sinclair... Even if he knows nothing, he must get Tanya Sinclair out first!
