Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Don’t Want to Sleep With Me?
The two women were thrown out along with Silas Blackwood.
The two women were bewildered. "Young Master Blackwood, what’s going on?"
This was the first time Silas Blackwood had ever been so humiliated, especially in front of women. He wasn’t about to let it slide.
"What gives you the right? I paid for this room! Why won’t you let me stay? Get your boss out here!"
Silas Blackwood’s clothes had been tossed out with him. He hastily pulled on an item of clothing, looking utterly pathetic.
"Our apologies, Young Master Blackwood." The men offered no explanation. They simply took the key card Silas Blackwood had set aside and shut the door in his face.
Without the key card, Silas Blackwood had no way of getting back in. The three staff members left without a word of explanation.
Their orders were simple: throw Silas Blackwood out.
Silas Blackwood gritted his teeth. ’What the hell is going on? Since when do I get kicked out of my own room!’
He wanted to call his father, only to realize his phone was still in the room.
"Young Master Blackwood, what do we do now?" The two women scrambled to put their clothes on.
’This is so humiliating, getting dressed out here in the hallway. What if someone sees us? How mortifying!’

"You’re asking me? How the hell should I know!" Silas Blackwood raged.
"Get out! Just get the hell out!"
Seeing his state, the two women didn’t dare say another word and scurried away with their tails between their legs.
Silas Blackwood’s face was thunderous. ’Who the hell has the balls to throw me out?’
’Could it be Ivy Sherwood?’
He scanned the area and realized Ivy Sherwood was nowhere to be seen.
’Where did Ivy go?’
’She had her luggage with her. Did she actually leave?’
’No, that’s impossible. Ivy is terrified of my father; she wouldn’t dare run off. That bitch... where did she run off to hide?’
Silas Blackwood went to find the staff, only to be told there were no vacant rooms. Even if he wanted to stay, there was nowhere for him.
Silas Blackwood couldn’t possibly sleep out in the open. He tried to drive down the mountain, but discovered his car seemed to be dead. It wouldn’t start at all.
After throwing a fit, Silas Blackwood had no choice but to spend the night in his car.
The mountain air grew cold in the middle of the night. With no heat in the car, he shivered uncontrollably.
It felt even colder inside the car than out. Silas Blackwood got out and started walking.
...
「In a small villa out back.」
Ivy Sherwood sat next to Quentin Blackwood. Smoke swirled around his face, blurring his features.
It was late, but Ivy Sherwood didn’t feel the least bit sleepy.
"Have you showered?" Quentin Blackwood was the first to speak.
Ivy Sherwood nodded. "Yes."
’She had already showered back in Silas Blackwood’s room.’
"Go on to bed, then. I’m going to take a shower."
With that, Quentin Blackwood stubbed out his cigarette and headed for the bathroom.
’Sleep... to bed?’
’She’d already taken a look around. The only bedroom was on the second floor. Quentin had brought her here, and now he was telling her to go to bed... Did he mean...’
’Their relationship had already crossed a line long ago, but back then, Ivy didn’t know Quentin had a fiancée. Now that she knew, she couldn’t be that kind of person.’
’She had to make things clear with Quentin!’

’But then again, she’d never heard Quentin mention his fiancée. She must be an exceptional woman. Beautiful, too, I’m sure.’
’When would they get married?’
The more she thought about it, the more stifled Ivy Sherwood felt.
Seeing the pack of cigarettes on the coffee table, Ivy Sherwood picked it up. She pulled one out and held it under her nose, sniffing it.
She didn’t know how to smoke, but she mimicked the way Quentin had been sitting, settled into his now-empty seat, and lit a cigarette.
The acrid smoke seared her throat. A bitter taste seemed to choke its way into her lungs, and she began to cough violently.
Just then, a voice came from behind her. "Don’t smoke if you don’t know how."
Ivy Sherwood turned to see Quentin Blackwood walking toward her, fresh from the shower with a towel wrapped around his waist.
His hair was dripping wet. Droplets of water traced a path down his jaw, over his neck, and pooled in the hollow of his collarbone.
The towel was slung low around his hips, leaving his breathtaking upper body completely exposed. A bead of water trickled from his shoulder, tracing a line over his pectoral muscle, then down through the defined valley of his abs before disappearing beneath the towel’s edge.
What lay beneath the towel was hidden, but the noticeable bulge suggested a formidable size.
Quentin Blackwood had the kind of physique that looked lean in clothes but was ripped underneath. His muscles were full, his waist lean and powerful—a perfect V-taper.
Ivy Sherwood forgot to look away. Quentin probably hadn’t expected her to still be downstairs. It wasn’t until he cleared his throat that she snapped back to reality.
Her face was so red it felt like it was on fire.
"I... I was just curious..." she stammered, stubbing the cigarette out in the ashtray without looking at Quentin.
"Didn’t I tell you to go to bed?"
"There’s only one bedroom," Ivy Sherwood said, her tone serious.
"Oh?"
"If I take the bed, where will you sleep? You should take it. I’d be grateful just to have the sofa. I can sleep here."
When Quentin had told Ivy to go to bed while he showered, he truly hadn’t been thinking along those lines.
He had work to finish and wasn’t sure when he’d be done. If he let Ivy take the bed, he had no intention of joining her.
’But hearing her say it like that... Is she repulsed by the idea?’
His eyes narrowed, and a dangerous aura emanated from him.
Quentin said deliberately, "What’s the matter? You don’t want to sleep with me?"
Ivy’s eyes flew wide.
"Isn’t... isn’t that inappropriate?"
"It’s not like we haven’t slept together. You’re only getting shy now?"
The more Quentin spoke, the hotter Ivy’s face burned.

"I seem to recall that when we first got to Lustre, someone wrapped her arms around my waist at the club and insisted on climbing into my bed. You didn’t seem to think it was inappropriate then, did you?"
"We’ve shared a bed time and time again. Have you forgotten how loud you cried out, head thrown back, begging me to slow down...?"
"Stop it!" Ivy Sherwood cut off Quentin’s crude words. It wasn’t just her face that was burning now; her entire body felt flushed with heat.
Every time she started to think Quentin was a good person, he would inevitably reveal his cruel streak.
’Back then, Ivy herself didn’t know where she found the courage.’
’Maybe it was because she was supposed to get engaged the next day, and Silas Blackwood had driven her out of her mind with anger.’
’Or maybe it was because she hadn’t known Quentin had a fiancée back then.’
’Otherwise, how could she have... with him, time and time again?’
Quentin moved closer, his powerful body looming in front of Ivy like a wall, leaving her nowhere to look.
’Seeing her face flushed crimson, he could just imagine how rosy her fair, delicate skin must be beneath her makeup.’
’He’d never felt this way about any woman before, nor had he ever felt the desire to tease someone like this. He had to admit, Ivy Sherwood had certainly piqued his interest.’
"So, you’re trying to cut ties with me now? Isn’t it a little late for that?"
