Chapter 28: Chapter 28: Doing That Kind of Thing in the Restroom

Feeling Silas Blackwood’s breathing turn ragged, Anna Nash threw her arms around his waist, her hands stroking his body.

"Silas, darling, I need to use the restroom. Will you come with me?"

Silas Blackwood’s mind was filled with the other woman’s beauty, fantasizing about the moment he would have her. His body was definitely reacting.

"Mm."

Once inside the restroom, before they even had time to lock the door, the two were already locked in a passionate kiss. Anna Nash intentionally moaned loudly to satisfy Silas Blackwood even more.

Soon, Silas Blackwood led Anna Nash into a stall. Several people who happened to walk in quickly left, red-faced, after hearing the noises.

Ivy Sherwood also felt the need to use the restroom. The moment she opened the door, she heard the sounds coming from inside.

Anna Nash’s voice, coy and seductive, mingled with Silas Blackwood’s heavy panting.

Ivy Sherwood stopped in her tracks. ’Is that Anna Nash and Silas Blackwood in there?’

’At a banquet, of all places, and they can’t control themselves?’

If she were to start a livestream right now, the two of them would instantly make headlines. Unfortunately for the drama, Ivy Sherwood wasn’t the type to pull such dirty tricks.

Just as she closed the door and turned to leave, Ivy Sherwood saw Quentin Blackwood walking her way. It looked like he was also headed for the restroom.

Ivy Sherwood grabbed his sleeve. "Don’t go in there!"

Quentin Blackwood looked down at the sleeve she was clutching. ’What does this woman think she’s doing?’

"Use a different restroom. This one isn’t clean."

Ivy Sherwood tried to pull Quentin Blackwood in another direction, but he was as immovable as a mountain.

Quentin Blackwood’s brow twitched. The scent on this woman... it was somewhat familiar.

A little like... Ivy Sherwood’s scent.

"Let go." The man’s voice was as cold as ever.

Just then, the restroom door opened from the inside. Silas Blackwood emerged, a look of sated satisfaction on his face. But when he saw Quentin Blackwood, he nearly jumped out of his skin.

"Un... Uncle, what are you doing here?"

Then he looked at the beautiful woman standing with his uncle. ’Did she really manage to seduce my uncle?’

But given his uncle’s "strangers keep away" aura, Silas Blackwood sneered. ’Looks like she got rejected.’

A moment later, the door opened again. Anna Nash came out, her face flushed red. If one looked closely, they could see several fresh marks on her neck, clearly just made.

Seeing the scene before her, Anna Nash shyly hid behind Silas Blackwood.

"Silas..."

Silas Blackwood’s scalp went numb under Quentin Blackwood’s gaze. He quickly said, "Uncle, I didn’t do anything. Anna just said she had something in her hair, and I was helping her get it out."

The excuse was ridiculously flimsy.

Ivy Sherwood, however, felt the corner of her mouth curl into a sneer. ’Helping with her hair? Do you take your uncle for an idiot?’

Quentin Blackwood couldn’t be bothered with Silas Blackwood’s affairs, but he did shoot another glance at Ivy Sherwood. ’This woman...’

But Quentin Blackwood didn’t linger. He turned and walked away.

With Quentin Blackwood gone, Ivy Sherwood certainly wasn’t going to stick around to watch this shameless pair.

Anna Nash, on the other hand, watched Ivy Sherwood’s retreating back, then looked at Silas Blackwood, who was practically drooling as he stared after her. A powerful sense of alarm rose in her heart.

Ivy Sherwood found another restroom. Anna Nash followed her and, in a move straight out of a TV drama, locked the restroom door from the outside and put up a "Cleaning in Progress" sign.

After she was done, Anna Nash sneered. ’I’ll just lock that woman in the restroom. Let’s see how she gets out now.’

Ivy Sherwood used the restroom and washed her hands. When she went to open the door, she found it wouldn’t budge no matter how she tried.

’Is the lock broken?’

Ivy Sherwood sent a message to Nina Scott on her phone. Nina quickly arrived at the restroom and freed her.

"Ivy, did you piss someone off? I saw a cleaning sign outside the door. Someone obviously locked you in on purpose," Nina Scott ranted. "Are they an idiot? Acting like this is some TV show. What century are we in? Don’t they know people have phones to call for help?"

"I bet someone’s just jealous of how good you look. You think it was that Yara Scott? She was suspicious of you for looking at my brother for two seconds," Nina continued.

Ivy Sherwood had barely spoken to anyone all night, so it was unlikely she had offended someone. Besides, Yara Scott wouldn’t pull a stunt like this at an event like this.

"Probably not. Let’s go, we’ll head out first." Ivy and Nina Scott left together, and just as they did, Ivy spotted Anna Nash hastily walking away in the distance.

Watching Anna Nash’s panicked retreat, she looked for all the world like a thief with a guilty conscience.

Anna Nash bit her lip. She couldn’t believe her plan had failed, and she refused to accept it.

She had already satisfied Silas Blackwood in the restroom, yet he was still not content. He was over there asking people who that beautiful woman was, driving Anna Nash mad with jealousy.

Silas Blackwood was going on about her figure and her dress, saying that only she could wear a dress like that and give it that kind of feeling.

Anna Nash looked at the woman in the dim corner, and a new plan formed in her mind.

Carrying a glass of wine, Anna Nash deliberately walked over to Ivy Sherwood’s side.

Ivy Sherwood had already retreated to a quiet corner and was handling work matters on her phone, so she didn’t notice Anna Nash’s approach.

She intentionally pretended to twist her ankle, tilting the wine glass in her hand so that the red wine spilled directly onto Ivy Sherwood’s dress.

Ivy Sherwood’s dress was a pale blue, so the red wine stain was incredibly obvious.

"Oh, I’m so sorry! I accidentally twisted my ankle just now," Anna Nash said, putting on a frail act.

Ivy Sherwood watched Anna Nash through narrowed eyes. How could she not know Anna was doing it on purpose? She hadn’t caused Anna a single bit of trouble tonight, but this wasn’t the first time Anna had targeted her.

Without a second thought, Ivy Sherwood lifted her foot and kicked Anna Nash squarely in the ankle. Caught completely off guard, Anna cried out in pain and fell to her knees in front of Ivy.

"Twisting your ankle is no reason to get on your knees for me."

Anna Nash bit her lip and tried to get up, but to her surprise, Ivy poured the contents of her own glass directly over Anna’s head, drenching her completely. "Sorry," Ivy said coolly. "My hand slipped."

"You! I’m Young Master Blackwood’s date! How dare you pour that on me!" Anna Nash was now a complete, disheveled mess.

"So what? Even if you were a princess, I’d still douse you!"

"I’m warning you, stay away from Silas Blackwood! I’m the one he likes the most!"

"I’m not interested in dogs. Only you would treat him like some kind of treasure. Since that’s the case, you’d better keep a good leash on your mutt. Don’t let him run off and ruin other women’s lives!"

With that, Ivy Sherwood turned on her heel and left without a backward glance.

Anna Nash scrambled up from the floor. Luckily, this corner was relatively hidden, so no one had witnessed her humiliating state.

’If that woman dares to seduce Silas, I will make her regret it!’

"Nina, I’m so sorry. I’ve ruined your dress," Ivy Sherwood said apologetically. This was a gown that Nina had painstakingly designed.

Seeing the stain on the dress, Nina Scott quickly pulled Ivy Sherwood upstairs. "Ivy, who spilled that on you? Did someone bully you?"

"It was Anna Nash. She thought I was trying to seduce Silas Blackwood, so she came looking for trouble. But don’t worry, I threw it right back at her. Still, her cheap dress costs next to nothing, while this one is priceless. It was a total loss!"
