Chapter 808: Chapter 807: Yearning
"No, I’m not, I’m serious!"
"Hah, I’m not joking with you either, because it’s simply impossible for us to start over!" Song Yuhan’s eyes carried a hint of determination.
"You’ll never understand if we don’t try, that we can start over!" Liu Zheng implored urgently, "As long as I’m willing, we can be together again!"
Song Yuhan shook her head; she was tired and didn’t want to endure anymore.
"President Ye, I’m tired, really, I don’t want to continue this anymore," she said blandly.
Liu Zheng clenched his fists, feeling a flame rising in his heart, "Song Yuhan, if you insist on refusing me, then brace yourself for my revenge!"
"Liu Zheng!"
Song Yuhan’s eyes widened, disbelievingly looking at Liu Zheng, wondering how he could become so terrifying, almost as if he had turned into someone else.
"Hah... hahaha..." Song Yuhan laughed bitterly, "Do as you wish."
With that, Song Yuhan turned and headed for the door.
Even if she wanted to avoid this relationship, she didn’t have the courage to run away.
Liu Zheng, you devil, I must have been blind to have fallen for you.
Watching Song Yuhan walk towards the entrance, Liu Zheng quickly followed.
"You don’t need to see me out, I have my own car."
"You’re pregnant now, I worry about your safety, so I must take you," he insisted.
"Hah, you really are a good husband," Song Yuhan said sarcastically.
"I just don’t want to lose you."
Song Yuhan did not agree or disagree, she didn’t say anything more, and just turned away.
Liu Zheng stood in place, his gaze filled with pain.
He knew Song Yuhan was stubborn, the more he resisted her, the more agitated she would become.
He knew that the best thing to do now was to comply with her.
Liu Zheng sighed, went back to the kitchen to clean up the dishes, and then left.
"Miss Song, the young master instructed me to prepare a nutritious meal for you; you may eat now."
"Just leave it."
Song Yuhan’s voice was faint; she did not want to see Liu Zheng.
The butler placed the meal on the table and then withdrew.
Song Yuhan sat on the couch, opened the meal box, which contained several steamed buns and a glass of milk; it looked light but was appetite-inducing.
She had a good appetite, drinking the milk and eating the steamed buns, and quickly, the plate was empty.
Song Yuhan satisfiedly patted her rounded belly and then stood up to go upstairs.
"Miss Song, please take care," the butler said respectfully, but his eyes flashed with a venomous look.
His heart was filled with hatred; he hated Song Yuhan and hated Liu Zheng even more!
It wasn’t long after Song Yuhan had gone upstairs that the doorbell rang; she walked to the door with uncertainty and peeked outside through the peephole.
"Liu Zheng, what are you doing here?"
Song Yuhan opened the door, and Liu Zheng immediately squeezed in.
"Liu Zheng, what on earth do you want?!" Song Yuhan frowned, warily looking outside, afraid he might do something drastic.
"Let’s talk," Liu Zheng said, his tone carrying a hint of plea.
"There’s nothing to talk about, get out of here now!" Song Yuhan yelled at him.
Liu Zheng looked at Song Yuhan, a mischievous smile curling at the corner of his mouth: "Don’t you want to divorce me?"
"Are you out of your mind?!" Song Yuhan exclaimed, "We’ve been separated for four years!"
"I don’t mind going through the procedures again, as long as you agree to divorce, I’ll agree to anything."
"Hah, what makes you think I would divorce?!"
Liu Zheng picked up the teacup from the table and took a sip, "Of course, it’s because of the child."
"What?! "
"You’re pregnant, aren’t you?" Liu Zheng said with a smile.
"My child is certainly not yours!"
"If it’s not mine, could it be my younger brother’s?"
"..."
"I know I’ve done a lot of things I apologize for, but you have to believe that I have nothing to do with this," Liu Zheng said earnestly.
Song Yuhan sneered, "Liu Zheng, do you think I would believe you?"
Liu Zheng took a deep breath and then reached out to grasp Song Yuhan’s wrist.
"Song Yuhan, you don’t need to be so guarded against me. Actually, I really love you. I just don’t know how to express it."
"There’s a deep misunderstanding between us, so I wanted to prove my feelings for you through my actions."
"You..."
"Don’t be afraid. I’m not the kind of man who’s unreasonable and brutish."
Song Yuhan felt a surge of sorrow at the sight of him.
This Liu Zheng was so different from the one she had known before.
Her tears fell in an instant, "I won’t divorce you, unless you give up the child!"
Upon hearing Song Yuhan’s words, Liu Zheng froze on the spot, his eyes bloodshot, filled with rage and regret.
"No, I won’t give up the child. Yuhan, please think it over, give me a chance."
"I’ve already thought it over for two days, Liu Zheng. I’m telling you, I will definitely not divorce!"
Liu Zheng’s hands trembled slightly, and a trace of paleness appeared on his face. He took a deep breath and then shifted his gaze to Song Yuhan’s swollen abdomen.
"If that’s the case, then let’s try to live a good life together. I hope we can live happily."
"..."
Song Yuhan stared blankly at Liu Zheng, momentarily at a loss for words to rebut.
She remained silent for a while, then snorted coldly: "Who wants to marry you! Get out!"
Song Yuhan pushed Liu Zheng away and lay down on the bed.
A flash of pain crossed Liu Zheng’s heart. He took a deep breath before turning and leaving.
...
Song Yuhan was lying on the bed, but Liu Zheng’s image kept floating up in her mind.
Why did he have to treat her like this? They were already divorced!
Song Yuhan irritably ran her fingers through her hair and closed her eyes.
After leaving the villa, Liu Zheng headed straight for his company.
His visit today was just to test Song Yuhan’s attitude towards him. If she was willing to divorce, then that would mean she still had feelings for him.
If she wasn’t, he would keep her in his own way.
He wouldn’t let her go!
...
At noon, Liu Zheng arrived punctual at the hospital.
As Liu Zheng entered the ward and saw Su Ruihan accompanying Song Yuhan, he raised his eyebrows slightly.
"Really? Aren’t you two divorced?" Liu Zheng asked with feigned confusion.
Su Ruihan coughed lightly: "Yu Han had a high fever last night, the doctor asked me to take care of her."
"I see. It seems you two still have deep feelings for each other," Liu Zheng said with a smile.
Su Ruihan’s brows lifted slightly: "Of course. Otherwise, she wouldn’t choose to be with me."
"Oh? Then I wish you both well."
"Thank you."
Liu Zheng looked towards Song Yuhan beside Su Ruihan, his gaze as tender as water, his lips curling into a faint smile.
"Miss Song’s complexion seems much better than before. It looks like you’ve been resting well these days."
Hearing Liu Zheng mention the child, Song Yuhan’s cheeks instantly flushed with anger.
"All thanks to you," Song Yuhan said through clenched teeth.
"Oh? Seems like you two haven’t divorced after all."
"Stop pretending! I have nothing to do with Liu Zheng anymore!" Song Yuhan glared at Liu Zheng furiously.
"Oh, so that means you still love me?" Liu Zheng spoke with a smirking smile, "I knew it. We couldn’t possibly divorce. I still love you."
