Chapter 1103: Chapter 1103: See You Tomorrow
Here, taking a shower meant using an electric heater. Xi Siyan never heated the water for long, because it used up electricity, and in B City electricity wasn’t cheap, and he wasn’t going to waste money on that.
Not heating it for long meant the water temperature stayed low, but he didn’t mind. As long as it wasn’t bone-chillingly cold, it was fine.
He took a quick shower and came out. As soon as Xi Siyan sat back down at his desk, he saw the phone screen on the table light up. He frowned, picked it up, and saw there were actually seven text messages, all from the same person.
[Xi, we’ll see each other tomorrow, no backing out]
[You have to come, okay? Otherwise I’ll cry]
[Why aren’t you replying to me? Didn’t see it?]
[Don’t tell me I sent it to the wrong person?]
[???]
[Probably not. Xi, did you fall asleep?]
[You’re probably asleep. Okay then, good night, wish you a sweet dream, best if I’m in it]
Looking at those messages, the corners of Xi Siyan’s lips couldn’t help lifting a little. Who texts like this, asking and answering their own questions?
Xi Siyan didn’t bother with it at first. He picked up a towel to dry his hair. After a while, he thought about it and still replied to Zhou Chengchen with one line: [See you tomorrow]
After replying, he did a few more competition problems, then went to bed.
What he didn’t know was that those simple three words kept the person on the other end of the phone excited the whole night.
The agreed time was ten in the morning. Joy Valley wasn’t far from Lake Bay Villa, about a half-hour drive.
Yet early the next morning, a little after six, Zhou Chengchen woke up.
She took a nice long shower, then pulled out the makeup she’d secretly bought. She hesitated in front of the mirror, but in the end didn’t put anything on her face.
A cold, top-student type like Xi Siyan probably liked girls who looked more pure, so she better not.
But since she still had a bit of a plan in mind, Zhou Chengchen did put a layer of light pink lip balm on her lips. The color was very faint, but it brightened her complexion.
Then she stood in front of her wardrobe to pick clothes. She flipped through nearly half the wardrobe, yet still couldn’t find anything that felt right—either too flashy or too plain.
In the end she finally fished out a white turtleneck sweater dress. Zhou Chengchen pulled it on and was fairly satisfied.
She paired it with a short pink down jacket on the outside, flat boots on her feet, and stood in front of the mirror looking herself over from left and right, feeling it was okay. Then she started fussing with her hair.
Zhou Chengchen let her hair down. The previously permed ends curled slightly, making her look cute and lively.
She was just about to head out when it suddenly hit her that they were going to an amusement park today. With this hairstyle, one gust of wind and she’d probably look like a lunatic.
So Zhou Chengchen hurried back, tied her hair into a ponytail, picked a pretty crystal cherry hair clip, pinned it on, and only then left the house in satisfaction.
She’d woken up a little after six, and after all that tossing around, she didn’t actually leave until nine-thirty.
She should’ve had enough time, but of course there was a bit of a traffic jam today.
By the time Zhou Chengchen arrived, it was already a quarter past ten.
She had just gotten out of the car when she saw Xi Siyan standing by the ticket booth. Zhou Chengchen immediately ran over. "Xi, I’m sorry, I’m late."
Xi Siyan didn’t mind. He was still wearing that black down jacket of his, with his school uniform pants on his legs. Even so, just by standing there, he was still the most eye-catching one.
"It’s fine. Let’s go, we’ll buy tickets and go in."
Xi Siyan turned to get in line. He had just checked the ticket prices—they were expensive—but he wasn’t so lacking in self-respect that he’d let a girl pay.
