Chapter 1101: Chapter 1101: Good Luck

In the blink of an eye, it was Christmas Eve’s eve. This year, Christmas Eve fell on a Saturday, so the class event naturally moved up a day to prepare on Friday night.

After school in the afternoon, everyone got into their respective roles and went their separate ways to get busy. All the boys were split into two groups: one group set up the classroom and moved desks and chairs, while the other accompanied the life committee member to the supermarket to buy supplies.

Some even brought Christmas trees from home, instantly filling the classroom with a festive atmosphere.

Zhou Chengchen and those with performances found a place to prepare.

A woman beautifies herself for the one she loves. Zhou Chengchen wanted to show her best self in front of Xi Siyan, so she had been preparing well, and tonight’s outfit—a pre-prepared white over-the-knee dress—was no exception.

Soon, it was eight o’clock, and everyone returned to the classroom one after another.

The classroom had transformed completely; the fattest boy in the class even dressed up as Santa Claus for cosplay.

Zhou Chengchen was wearing a dress underneath and had a down jacket over it. She spotted Xi Siyan sitting in the corner of the classroom immediately in the crowd.

However, her expression wasn’t looking good, because there were a few girls sitting beside Xi Siyan. Normally, they didn’t talk much with Xi Siyan, but Zhou Chengchen knew they all liked him.

Actually, a handsome, smart, aloof guy like Xi Siyan was naturally attractive to girls at this age, which wasn’t surprising. Their affection was mostly admiration and appreciation, hardly even liking.

But Zhou Chengchen was still displeased. Clearly, the space beside him should have been hers.

"Cheng Chen."

Xiao Rou, who had arrived beside Zhou Chengchen at some point, tapped her on the shoulder. Seeing her friend’s not-so-good expression and following her gaze, Xiao Rou understood immediately.

Standing on tiptoe, she whispered in Zhou Chengchen’s ear, "Perform well, I’ll keep an eye on things for you."

Zhou Chengchen glanced at her. Did she need her to watch?

Xi Siyan had transferred almost a month ago, and in that month, she hadn’t seen him speak much to anyone.

Sometimes, when people asked him questions, he’d simply pass them the problem. If he hadn’t done it himself yet, he’d ask them to go back first and then send them the problem after he’d worked on it, that aloof attitude, combined with her Zhou Chengchen, meant people asking Xi Siyan questions reduced significantly.

She believed Xi Siyan wouldn’t bother with them; she was just in a bad mood.

The phone in her pocket suddenly vibrated.

Zhou Chengchen took it out and saw a message from an unknown number: [Good luck]

Just two simple words, without even punctuation. Who could it be?

With curiosity, Zhou Chengchen glanced in Xi Siyan’s direction, catching him casually putting his phone back into his pocket. A spark of realization hit her, could it be...?

She typed two words on the keyboard: [Thank you]

Raising her eyes to look over the crowd at Xi Siyan, her finger quietly pressed "send."

Two seconds later, Xi Siyan took out his phone again.

It was him... it really was him!

The little displeasure in her heart instantly dissolved away; it was Xi Siyan’s phone, after all.

Ah ah ah ah ah...

Zhou Chengchen beamed with a smile. Xiao Rou patted her again, "Cheng Chen? What’s up? You’re smiling like a..."

Xiao Rou wouldn’t finish with the word "fool", and Zhou Chengchen hooked her arm around her neck, "Come, help your Brother Chen touch up makeup."

Zhou Chengchen’s solo was in the middle, the fifth performance.

Before going on stage, she took a deep breath, removed her down jacket—it was no longer cold in the classroom—and walked confidently to the piano, seated herself, placed her ten fingers on the keys, paused for two seconds, and began to play chaotically.
