Chapter 22 - Han Tianxue Challenge
The four generals arrived at the Yang Clan and decided to stay for the night before heading out in four different directions to investigate. Although the Yang Clan had already begun their own investigation into the incident, their limited power only allowed them to cover a small area.
Since all of Yang Hao's siblings were out cleaning the province, he was responsible for guiding the guests to their rooms.
Among them, Han Tianxue took notice of Yang Hao and paid special attention to him. She approached him and requested a room in his house.

Yang Hao was surprised but agreed. Fortunately, he had a separate house with five rooms, as he used to have maids living with him. With so many people visiting—most of them True Elementals—each of them needed a separate room, and not just any room, but one that could properly accommodate them. Since space was limited, he had to use some of the rooms meant for mortals to house the guests.
Having Han Tianxue stay at his place actually worked out well, as it saved a room for someone else. Moreover, she was around his age, and his father had encouraged him to form friendships with her. He had also heard a lot about her—after all, Han Tianxue was recognized as the number one genius of their generation.
After ensuring that the others were settled in, Yang Hao guided Han Tianxue to his house. However, when they arrived, they found Mo Yanyu sitting in the living room, drinking tea.
Mo Yanyu looked at Han Tianxue. Han Tianxue looked at Mo Yanyu.
"You're Mo Yanyu, right?" Han Tianxue asked.
Mo Yanyu nodded, tilting her head slightly.
Yang Hao glanced between them and decided it was best to stay quiet.
"I want to fight you. Is that okay?" Han Tianxue said straightforwardly.
Mo Yanyu raised an eyebrow but nodded. "I don't have a problem with that."
"When do you want to fight?"
"Whenever you want."
"Then let's do it now."
"Alright, let's go."
Yang Hao couldn't help but wonder if something was wrong with them. Isn't Han Tianxue the daughter of the Han Clan's leader? And Mo Yanyu, even though she left her clan, is still seen as the daughter of the Mo Clan's leader.
If they fought, it would be the same as a battle between the Han Clan and the Mo Clan. If one of them lost, it would be an embarrassment to their entire clan. That was precisely why sons and daughters of clan leaders rarely fought each other—it was too risky.
This was also why Han Tianming had lost all his face when he challenged Mo Yanyu. He had not only proposed marriage and gotten angry over rejection but also lost the fight. That single defeat was enough to remove him from the list of candidates for the next Han Clan leader. After all, if he spent time with woman, arrogance and bullying was still something that could be cover up but defeat against Mo Yanyu won't.
"By the way, I want this battle to remain a secret," Han Tianxue said, turning to Yang Hao. "Do you have a place where we can fight privately?"
Yang Hao smiled. "Of course. Follow me."
He turned and led the way, feeling a sense of excitement. He was about to witness a battle between the number one genius and his fiancée.
Both of them were incredibly talented, yet both had fathers who, in Yang Hao's opinion, had problem with their brain.
Mo Yanyu's father had been willing to give her away in marriage, while Han Tianxue's father neglected her despite her talent.
Yang Hao had heard many rumors about how Han Tianxue was denied resources, with everything going to her brothers. She was constantly restricted, scolded, and subjected to numerous unfair treatments.
At that moment, Yang Hao felt genuinely grateful that his own father wasn't like that.
