Chapter 1462: Who Are These In The School’s Market?

The rest of my girls would have to get their rooms through a lottery and unfortunately, my room would not be open for people to draw until later.

That means that they would have to participate in another lottery draw a few days from now to see if they could get it.

But for now... I’m the only occupant of my room and I took the bottom bunk bed for myself.

Why not the top? I can’t be bothered to climb up and down the bed, ok? And it’s not like I’ll be doing much on the bed aside from sleeping in the first place.

And if my girls aren’t here... I have a feeling I would end up going to whichever room they claimed to sleep with them anyway...

I leaned against my window as I watched the newest batch of students start appearing along the path, all of them now wearing the same white robes as I was that were draped behind them on their shoulders.

Odeta and Delmare wouldn’t be able to pick my room as Special Class students but they would at least be able to pick the two rooms closest to me.

I also overheard that there might be students who trade rooms with each other after the assignment and even though it’s technically against the rules, people could still occupy one of the empty rooms and claim it as their own.

The only problem with that is that the Dorm Attendants would periodically check the rooms and if students are found occupying an empty room, then they could be punished.

Ironically, there was no rule against staying in another occupied room that was not assigned to you, which was why the room trading was something that the students would engage in afterwards.

The only rule to that room exchange is they had to adhere to the gender assigned to the room so no male could swap out with any of my female or futanari roommates to get into my room and I won’t be able to swap myself into a female only room either.

I feel a little worried that my girls would have to put themselves in female-futanari rooms but... I think they wouldn’t end up sleeping with a random futanari anyway.

And if the other party has any ideas, I’d think they would probably get their dicks chopped off faster than they could blink.

As more students started showing up to get their rooms, I used my Ring of Shared thoughts to let my girls know about the arrangements of the dorm and which room I was located in, trusting the girls with the rings to relay that information to the ones that didn’t.

I should probably ring them up as well... Since I intend to stay with them anyway...

With that done, I decided to head back to the market street just to see what was there. School doesn’t actually start until a few days from now so we’re allowed to explore the school outside of the restricted areas to help us get used to student life here.

I leapt out of the window and unfurled my wings, flapping them to head towards the market.

But I only managed to fly for a short distance before another figure suddenly dove down from above and flared their wings in front of me, blocking my way and forcing me to flare my own wings to float in the air instead of crashing straight into them.

The person in front of me was a male Meslatar with green wings, the guy looking quite annoyed as his scarlet robes fluttered behind him in between his wings.

He blows something like a trumpet before pointing a finger at me, "You there!! You don’t have a flying permit, do you?!"

I blinked at him before looking around, "I need a flying permit to fly here?"

He narrowed his eyes to look at my robes before he suddenly relaxed, "Ah... First year student. Of course. Sigh... Yeah, in order to fly around the school, you need to get yourself a flying permit first. You’re not allowed to fly around without one. Unfortunately, first year students are not able to get it, only second year students and above are allowed to obtain it."

I gave him a look, "Wait, what? You’re telling me I have to spend an entire year without being able to fly? This is ridiculous! You’re a Meslatar aren’t you? You know how that feels, right?"

He sighed as though this was a question that he had been asked before and this wasn’t the first time he had to deal with such a thing.

"There’s specific places within the Academy which allow for flight without restriction. But travel within the Academy grounds through flight is restricted and only allowed for people with a flying permit."

I let out a groan, "Dare I ask what the penalty for this is?"

"Under normal circumstances, you would receive a citation which would affect your grades as a penalty. But since this is your first time here and you probably have not been told about the rules yet, I’ll just let you off with a warning."

I let out a sigh of relief, "Oh... Thanks. I’ll just... Err... Land on the ground now?"

He gave me a curt nod, "Please."

I folded my wings and dove towards the ground, flaring them at the last moment to slow myself down before landing with a soft thud on the ground.

Looking up, the Meslatar gave me another nod before flying off, his scarlet robe fluttering behind his back.

I couldn’t help but feel a little miffed that I wouldn’t be able to fly wherever I wanted but consoled myself that it would only be for a year.

The moment I move up to the next year, I’m definitely applying for a flying permit the second I get the chance to do so.

For now... I walked along the path that was closer to the Academy’s centre to move towards the market district, which was not occupied with the incoming new students since they were using the path that was closer to the wall.

The walk there was at least relatively short that I was quickly distracted from my annoyance at not being able to fly when I entered the market square.

The place was designed to look like a bazaar with multiple stores set up and arranged around the open area but there was clearly space for more which were left empty.

I realised that some of the people manning the stalls were wearing robes that signified they were students amongst the crowd. Either they were working for the stall owners as a form of work or... They were the stall owners themselves.

If I had to guess, I think they might just be the stall owners.

I strolled through the bazaar, looking at what was being displayed at the stalls.

I wasn’t the only person there as there were also other customers that were milling around the place, making the entire square filled with multiple different colours of robes scattered around the square.

In fact, I wasn’t even the only one wearing white robes either as there were also a few other first year students whom I assumed belonged to the earlier batch of students who arrived ahead of us.

Looking around the stalls, most of them seemed to be selling stuff related to magic with potions, enchanted items, alchemy ingredients and even some who were selling their own research or curriculum notes for the juniors.

There were others as well of course, with some stalls selling food like freshly baked bread, meat skewers and cookies, which I of course bought a few to enjoy by myself.

Mmmm~ Chocolate chip cookies~ Om nom nom~

Aside from those, there were also some stalls selling daily life necessities like cups and plates which seemed to be home made by the stall owner themselves. There were even things like weapons, armours and furniture that were also crafted by the stall owners as well, most of them being manned by students.

I guess it’s common for students who specialise in crafting to sell what they made here as well.

As I was marvelling at the things that were displayed, a very mouth watering smell of what I assumed was barbecued meat wafted to my nose.

I sniffed the air and frowned when I felt like the smell was really familiar somehow and followed it to its origin, right to a cart that had five Amrap sisters that were busy serving up barbecued meat to a line of customers in front.

The five Amrap sisters that I met back at Odeta’s hometown...

And as if that wasn’t enough... There was a certain blonde haired girl standing in front of the cart holding a bag of cookies and looking at the meat being barbecued with a serious look on her face.

Ok... I’m already surprised to see the Barker sisters here but... Tiara?! What are you doing here?!!
