Chapter 200: New Representative

The rest of the flight went by so uneventfully that I was almost disappointed.

When the plane touched down and I was properly dressed and ready to leave, I noted that the stewardesses were averting their gaze quite a bit but more out of embarrassment than anything else.

I mean... They were already doing that when I first came on board but they were obviously doing it out of fear at that time so now the sudden change was a little weird.

I was wondering why when Dan came up to me and gave me a knowing grin. The kind of grin that told me I did something pretty stupid.

He lowered his voice so only I could hear him, "You might have muffled their moans, bro... But the clapping of their cheeks went unmuffled~"

Ah... Well... Fuck...

Err... At least that explains why the stewardesses look so awkward... I’m pretty sure the sound of my hips clapping against Leena’s and Jia Lian’s hips resounded around this part of the plane quite audibly...

If anyone didn’t know I was sleeping with my Guardians... I think they all know now...

In fact... I found Olivia and Ava looking in my direction like they were asking if I was going to give them their turn later...

I made a mental note to talk to them about this later as we got off the plane, the cabin crew gathered near the door to bid us farewell as we left.

Thankfully, this group of cabin crew weren’t stationed above so they had no idea I was up there clapping cheeks and were merely nervous about the fact that a Mortal God was in such close proximity to them.

I’m not sure if those stewardesses would talk but... I guess it’s already kind of a well known open secret that Mortal Gods sleep with their Guardians so it’s not really that big of a deal I guess...

...

I hope...

There was a small group of people dressed in formal suits waiting for us the moment we stepped off the plane and I noted one of them was a rather familiar middle aged man who was distinctly missing the little finger on his left hand.

If I remember correctly... This guy was Julian, the person who was supposed to represent me on the International Council or whatever and he was pretty rude to me back when I first met him. So I got Sergei to make an example of him by slicing off his finger.

He actually got off pretty lenient with just a finger sliced off and I wasn’t even sure if that taught him a lesson or not. I was convinced that I might not meet him again but here he is.

As compared to the last time I remembered where he looked cocky and confident of himself, this time he was just hanging in the middle of the group and looking quite subdued with his head hung low.

A pretty big change in attitude I would say, though I can’t tell if he was acting like this because of me or because of the people he is accompanying.

The entire group consisted of five people counting Julian with two of them being women and three of them being men.

I eyed the one at the front, a rather young looking caucasian woman with her hair tied up in a bun and wearing a formal suit and tight pencil skirt that was made less formal with the fact that her top two buttons of her blouse were unbuttoned, showing the top of her cleavage.

She stepped forward, her high heels clicking against the floor audibly before she stood in front of me and lowered her head slightly in a curt bow.

"Welcome to Australia, Mortal God. I am Charlotte Jones, it is our honour to receive you. I will serve as your guide and representative while you are here. If there is anything you require, I will handle it."

I tilt my head slightly, feeling a small sense of deja vu, "You will be my representative?"

She nodded before suddenly bowing her head, prompting everyone including Julian to bow as well.

It wasn’t just a small bow like the greeting earlier but a completely ninety degree bow at the waist with their upper bodies perfectly parallel to the ground.

"Please accept our apologies for how one of our own members of the Rift Management Bureau treated you, Mortal God. And I would also like to thank you for your mercy for sparing his life."

Ah... So if I am not wrong... After Julian’s run in with me, his superiors must have decided to replace him with Charlotte here as my representative but decided to keep him around because they weren’t sure if I still wanted the guy here since I spared his life instead of killing him.

I’m not some kind of villain so as long as that guy properly reflects on his mistakes, I won’t make his life difficult either.

"It’s fine, don’t worry about it," I assured her.

That prompted the five of them to straighten themselves and I could spot the four people behind Charlotte showing relieved faces while Charlotte maintained a neutral expression.

"We thank you again for your magnanimity, Mortal God. Once again, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Australia. Please, follow me.

The four people behind her immediately stepped to the side to form a pathway while Charlotte turned to start leading us up the boarding bridge and into the airport building proper.

I followed a few steps behind her with Jia Lian and Kris a step in front of me while the rest of my Guardians surrounded me.

Instead of heading deeper into the airport, she led us down an escalator and through a security door that led us out onto the tarmac where a small fleet of black vehicles were waiting.

She ushered me into one of the cars while the rest of my Guardians were split up in the others.

Olivia rode with me in the backseat while Charlotte took the passenger seat with Julian being the car’s driver.

The fact that they chose a larger car for me might mean they anticipated the fact that Olivia would be accompanying me as well, so a small sedan was definitely not going to fit her.

Charlotte turned around to face me, "Mortal God. May I let you know of our schedule?"

I nodded at her to go ahead and she began speaking without needing to use anything as reference.

"We will be using the International Convention Centre for the summit and it will be held as a round table type discussion with you and the other two Mortal Gods as the heads of the summit. We will be staying at Sofitel located right beside the convention centre itself and the event is expected to last for the next three days. Is there anywhere that Mortal God might want to go or visit during your stay here?"

I hummed, "Hmm... Not in particular. I presume that we are able to extend our stay past the summit?"

There was a slight pause. A very slight one, less than a second, in fact. But I still noticed it as her hesitating to answer which indicated that they might not have planned for something like that.

Did they expect all of us to just get on the first flight back right after the summit ends or something? Come on, we flew all the way out here so at least let us enjoy the city while we’re here...

Ah... I guess the former is actually the standard for people like us and it’s just that I’m still not used to doing it that way yet.

Even for our trip to Thailand, the reason why we had our stay extended was more because of the Rift Breakout and not because we planned to extend it.

But even though I might have made that out of the ordinary request, Charlotte still nodded at me.

"There is no problem, Mortal God. If you can give me your itinerary, I will make the necessary arrangements to make sure that your stay here is as comfortable as possible."

I looked towards Olivia for help on this and she immediately spoke up on my behalf.

"My Lord does not have any specific plans yet. I will be the one to contact you if there are any."

Charlotte switched her gaze over to the red Oni, "In that case, I would have to depend on you, Miss Olivia."

She already knows Olivia by name too? This woman definitely did her homework... Unlike the driver of the car that was sitting right beside her.

I guess we can trust her to actually do a good job of being my representative at the very least since she seems pretty competent... For now.

Charlotte turned back to face the front right as the convoy started to move, prompting me to relax in my seat.

Thank everything that I don’t need to worry about jet lag with my powers...
