Chapter 617: Chapter 616: Reunion (12)

The taxi driver uncle chuckled happily, "After being away for a few years, you still have good friends to welcome you back. That’s nice."

"Yeah, I think that’s pretty nice too," Bella nodded.

"You know, miss, I feel like you look a bit familiar," the taxi driver suddenly remarked.

Bella was taken aback. Could it be that she was recognized? It shouldn’t be.

She remained calm on the surface, "I must have a common face."

"Haha, you’re really modest. If you looked common, no one would bother with cosmetic surgery," the taxi driver thought carefully but still couldn’t recall where he had seen her.

To avoid being truly recognized, Bella smiled and didn’t continue the conversation.

After over twenty minutes of traffic jam, the taxi finally slowly exited the second ring viaduct.

Bella paid for the taxi and got out, taking out her phone to call Archer Quinn.

The taxi driver accepted the money, slowly drove back into the traffic, and suddenly had a light bulb moment, "Ah! I remember now! She’s the celebrity my daughter likes! Oh dear, why didn’t I think of it earlier!" The taxi driver was very annoyed, as he could have asked for an autograph for his daughter.

Bella walked to the roadside and dialed Archer Quinn’s number.

The ringtone only sounded once before being answered, Archer Quinn’s voice came through, "Bella, did you get off the car?"

"Yeah, just got off, I’m on Blackwater Road on the inner side of the second ring. Senior Quinn, where are you?" Bella looked around but didn’t see Archer Quinn, so she asked.

"I just arrived, I already see you, don’t move from there."

Hanging up the phone, Bella hadn’t had time to put away her phone when she saw Archer Quinn riding a flashy motorcycle weaving through car and pedestrian traffic to reach her.

"You came on this?" Bella’s mouth twitched slightly, who on earth had a taste for this electric scooter?

She searched her mind and couldn’t think of anyone she knew who liked such a unique style.

A punk-like non-mainstream?

"No choice, given the road conditions, only this kind of vehicle can get through without obstacles," Archer Quinn handed another helmet to her, saying, "Hop on, Great Beauty Acker."

"Senior Quinn, if you don’t talk like this, can we still be friends?" Bella smiled as she took the helmet and put it on, seating herself sideways before asking, "Whose motorcycle is this?"

"A kid pursuing Shannon’s," Archer Quinn revved the motorcycle and drove off, saying, "Shannon is almost driven up the wall by him."

"A kid pursuing Shannon? How old is he?"

"Not yet nineteen, he’s the leader of a young group that became popular in the past two years," Archer Quinn laughed, "he’s crazy about Shannon, can’t be driven away. Imagine Shannon’s older sister persona, how could she like such a young student-type. Unfortunately, he doesn’t take rejection, he’s persistent as a serpent, Shannon just doesn’t know what to do with him."

"Haha, sounds pretty interesting," Bella said, "You rode his bike over, so is he at the party tonight?"

"Yeah, came along with Shannon," Archer Quinn also found it somewhat amusing.

The two chatted all the way, finally parking the motorcycle outside the meeting spot.

Bella looked up at the sign, The Seraphina Garden — wasn’t this the place where she had her first misunderstanding with Damian, when Bea arranged for her and Damian to make up?
