Chapter 611: Chapter 610: Reunion (6)

Bella’s smile used to be pure and joyful, as beautiful as the rising sun.

But now, though she smiles, the smile doesn’t truly reach her heart, nor does it shine in her eyes.

Sharon also knew about the thing between her and Damian. Originally, a breakup is just a breakup, but unfortunately, she’s stubbornly persistent. Though she has lived abroad for five years, she hasn’t experienced any new romances.

It’s not that she didn’t have suitors, she just wasn’t willing to be with anyone else.

Bella turned her head to look out the car window. In five years, many places in Creston have changed considerably.

Looking at the streets that are both familiar and somewhat unfamiliar, Bella felt a sense of emptiness in her heart.

"Godmother, I’ll get off here. You take Ethan and Talia back. I’ll return after we gather tonight."

"Okay. We have to get up early tomorrow morning, don’t drink too much tonight," Sharon advised.

"I know." The car stopped on the roadside, Bella got out and said, "Judy, you should also go home and have a look."

"Mm, after I drop Ethan and Talia off, I’ll go home." Judy nodded.

Bella smiled, waved to them, and stepped back to the roadside. Only after the car drove away did she slowly walk forward.

This street hasn’t changed much. Bella reached the entrance of the community, and even the doorman was still the same one.

The doorman saw Bella and smiled, opening the window wider to greet her, "Ms. Acker, you’re back."

"Yes. Hello." Bella replied courteously, "You go ahead with your work, I’m just going home to take a look." With that, she walked into the community.

The trees in the community had grown more lush than they were five years ago. Plus, it’s summer now, and the place is full of greenery, with cicadas chirping everywhere.

Bella walked to the entrance of a lobby in building six. She swiped her card to enter and happened to meet a couple coming out.

"Oh, it’s you. Haven’t seen you in a long time." The woman, sporting a pregnant belly, greeted Bella with a smile.

Bella was startled for a moment before recognizing the woman as the girl from a couple she had met years ago. But her husband wasn’t the same guy from back then.

Bella smiled and nodded, "Mm, I moved to another place, recently had some time to come back for a visit."

"No wonder. I kept wondering why I only ever saw your boyfriend," the woman said with a beaming smile, taking the hand of the man beside her. "We’re off then, bye."

"Bye." Bella waved at her, watching her happily walk away holding the man’s arm.

In the youthful love of those years, you loved me, and I loved you. But later, time distanced us, I once loved you, and then I loved someone else.

Bella withdrew her gaze, smiling wryly at herself. Suddenly, she remembered the woman saying she only ever saw your boyfriend alone, could it be... could it be Damian still comes here?

Bella unconsciously tightened her grip on the door card, her heart suddenly racing, beating uncontrollably.

Damian still comes here, so would it be inappropriate for her to go up now? What should she say if she meets him?

But at this time, he should be at work, probably wouldn’t be here.

Bella pressed her lips together, hesitated for a moment, and finally stepped into the elevator.

Pressing the 12th floor button, Bella watched as the elevator doors close, rising floor by floor, her throat suddenly becoming tight.

In these five years, she just wanted to come back and take a look, hoping that...
