Chapter 607: Chapter 606: Reunion (2)

Five years after returning to the country, Bella had imagined many scenarios of her reunion with Damian Sinclair, but she never thought it would happen so soon.

She returned to Creston, just got off the plane, and then she met him.

At the bustling airport exit, she still spotted him at first glance among the crowd.

Damian Sinclair’s gaze accidentally shifted, and he suddenly paused in his steps.

Following him closely, Special Assistant Lawson noticed his sudden stop and was stunned, "President Sinclair?"

Damian did not answer. His cold gaze swept past countless passersby, fixing on the woman standing by the roadside, whom was answering a phone call with her hand raised.

In five years, her transformation was so significant that he felt a bit dazed at first glance.

The woman with the perfectly poised smile, dressed elegantly and tastefully, wearing meticulous makeup, was she really Bella?

Judy Zimmerman followed Bella’s gaze and saw Damian as well, frowning as she instinctively moved to block Bella.

On the phone, Archer Quinn didn’t hear Bella’s response and asked in confusion, "Bella, are you listening to me?"

"I am." Bella pinched the phone, politely yet distantly smiled at Damian, then turned her gaze away to talk on the phone. "Senior Quinn, Shannon is in Creston too, right? Let’s meet up with her tonight. I’ve really missed her these past five years."

"Of course. I’ll book a place tonight, and give me a call when you get here," Archer laughed. "Shannon said she wants to give you a hard time for leaving without telling her."

"Sure, let her do whatever she wants." Bella smiled. "My godmother’s car is here, so I won’t talk now. See you tonight."

After hanging up, Bella turned her head to look at the airport exit, finding that Damian was still standing there without leaving.

She hesitated imperceptibly, but quickly concealed her emotions, naturally and calmly shifting her gaze, pretending she just happened to look over.

Damian’s eyes grew darker.

Special Assistant Lawson cautiously reminded him, "President Sinclair, the senior management in the Asia-Pacific region are still waiting for you to return for the meeting."

"If they are competent, they can wait for me." Damian replied expressionlessly, finally taking steps to continue forward.

Special Assistant Lawson secretly breathed a sigh of relief, sneaking a glance in Bella’s direction. He thought to himself, Ms. Acker truly had a great talent—whenever matters related to her arose, the Boss’s aura turned intimidating.

Since the Boss’s car accident, when he lay on a bed for three years before waking up, Bella’s name became a taboo, and anyone who mentioned it would suffer.

Ms. Acker was truly heartless. When the Boss had a car accident and nearly died, lying in bed for three full years, she didn’t visit even once.

No wonder the Boss later wouldn’t allow anyone to mention her.

Damian got in the car, glancing at Bella standing behind through the rearview mirror, as well as the little girl standing beside her.

So much could change in five years.

Had she already married and started a family with someone else?

The hand Damian rested on his knee clenched into a fist, his dark expression mingling with a cruel fury.

On this side, Bella quietly withdrew her sidelong glance from the departing car, lowered her head to speak to the little girl beside her, "Talia, remember the promise you made to me?"

"I remember." The little girl nodded, stretching out her chubby white hand, thumb and index finger pinched together, speaking in a childlike voice, "Talia is three years old this year."
