Chapter 522: Chapter 521: Exhausted in Mind and Body

The just-asleep Bella Acker was immediately jolted awake, sitting up in bed.

"Aunt Sienna!"

Bella Acker saw Aunt Sienna fallen on the floor and instantly threw off the covers to get out of bed.

It’s hard to tell whether it was because she got up too hurriedly or due to the lack of rest lately, but when Bella Acker jumped out of bed, she felt a wave of dizziness and her vision darkened. She staggered backward.

If she hadn’t quickly grabbed onto the edge of the bed, she probably would have fallen.

Bella Acker closed her eyes, and once the dizziness in her head subsided a bit, she rushed to Aunt Sienna’s side and struggled to help her up.

"Aunt Sienna, just let me know if you need anything, why did you get out of bed by yourself?" Seeing her fall so hard, Bella Acker was both anxious and aching with concern.

"Bella, don’t worry, I just lost my balance, I’m fine." Aunt Sienna fell badly and even bumped her bones, and it actually hurt a lot. However, she forced herself to appear as if nothing was wrong because she didn’t want Bella to worry more.

"How can you be fine after such a fall?" Bella Acker said as she helped her back onto the bed, and after making her comfortable, she said, "I’ll call the doctor to come check you out."

"Bella, no need," Aunt Sienna immediately said, "It’s so late now, the doctors on duty are probably asleep too. I’m really fine, don’t disturb their rest."

"Doctors on duty don’t sleep," Bella Acker said quietly, "You just lie down, I’ll call the doctor to have them check you out and see if the bone was hurt." With that, she pressed the bedside bell and explained the situation to the nurse.

Soon, the doctor on duty arrived.

Bella Acker said, "Doctor, Aunt Sienna just fell off the bed, could you please check to see if she’s injured anywhere?"

"How careless, let me check." The doctor said and stepped forward, lifted the blanket, and began to press Aunt Sienna’s calf bone, asking her, "Does it hurt?"

Aunt Sienna’s calf had indeed bumped, and it was quite painful, but she held back and shook her head, "No pain."

The doctor glanced at her and said, "If it hurts, say it, don’t lie."

"Doctor, it really doesn’t hurt." Aunt Sienna continued to bear it.

The doctor glanced at her again and continued to press her bones step by step. No matter where he pressed, Aunt Sienna kept shaking her head, claiming it didn’t hurt.

After examining the whole body, the doctor said, "There’s some bruising pain, but it hasn’t hurt the bones, so no major issues. Be careful in the future, you don’t have much strength now, so don’t get out of bed casually. Did you eat today?"

"I had a bowl of porridge, drank some bone broth," Bella Acker replied.

"Well, nutritional liquids aren’t as good as grains; try to eat as much as you can," the doctor nodded, "Get some good rest." Having said that, he left with the nurse.

Bella Acker exhaled a breath of relief upon hearing the doctor’s assurance that everything was fine, "Aunt Sienna, did you hear the doctor? Don’t get out of bed casually again; if you need anything, let me know, okay?"

"Got it," Aunt Sienna smiled, "Our Bella now becomes more like the head of the family."

"Not at all," Bella Acker also portrayed a slight smile, tucking her in as she said, "You are the real head of our family; Ethan and I are waiting for you to get better soon."

"Good," Aunt Sienna said, "It’s late, you have work tomorrow, go sleep."

"I’ll keep you company for a while," Bella Acker sat down by the hospital bed and said, "I’ll go to sleep once you do."
