Chapter 521: Chapter 520: You Are No Longer Mine
Damian, from now on, the mountains are high and the waters long, you... are no longer mine.
Bella watched the car leave the underground parking lot, covering her mouth as she sobbed.
In the car, the two bodyguards sitting in front didn’t dare to make a sound.
Bea hesitated for a moment and asked, "Brother, about you and Bella..."
She barely started her sentence before Damian Sinclair interrupted her expressionlessly, "Don’t mention that person in front of me anymore."
Bea was stunned. "Brother, didn’t you say you wanted to have a good talk with her?" Did she inadvertently mess things up again? If she’d known earlier, she wouldn’t have told her brother that Bella was around.
"There’s nothing worth discussing anymore," Damian Sinclair closed his eyes, concealing the painful look in his eyes.
Seeing his expression, Bea didn’t dare say more. She took out her phone and discreetly sent Bella a message, "Bella, what’s going on? Did you and my brother fight again?"
Bella didn’t know how long she’d been standing by the window; if it weren’t for the phone ringing, she wouldn’t have realized her legs were starting to go numb.
She took out her phone and found it was a message from Bea, then opened it to take a look.
Did she and Damian have a fight? Not really.
A real argument implies the chance for reconciliation, but there was no possibility of that happening between them anymore.
After a moment of daze, Bella replied to the message, "No, thanks for taking me to the soirée today."
After seeing the reply, Bea furrowed her brows.
She knew that if Bella didn’t want to talk about something, no matter how much she asked, there would be no outcome. Glancing at her brother’s expression, she couldn’t help but think, why does the relationship between these two seem so strained?
After replying to the message, Bella put away her phone. She no longer felt like showering, changed clothes, and lay down on the other bed in the hospital room.
Lately, with work taking its toll, and having to take care of Aunt Sienna and pick up Ethan, she hadn’t gotten a proper night of sleep.
She thought she wouldn’t be able to fall asleep tonight either, but curled up in the blanket, dwelling on her thoughts, she surprisingly fell asleep quickly.
It was only after Bella fell asleep that Aunt Sienna slowly opened her eyes, her cheeks stained with tears.
When Bella and Damian entered the hospital room, she had already awoken but kept her eyes shut, pretending to be asleep. Hearing Bella’s heartbroken sobs made her feel even more heartache.
Once sure Bella was asleep, Aunt Sienna bit her lip and forced herself to sit up from the hospital bed, inching down to pick up her coat nearby and searched for her own phone.
Luckily, when Miss Sinclair went to the orphanage, she left a phone number. Otherwise, she’d have no way to reach anyone now.
Aunt Sienna sent Bea a text message, "Miss Sinclair, could you please send me your mother’s phone number?"
"Aunt Sienna? Why do you need my mom’s number?" Bea quickly replied.
"I’d like to arrange a meeting with your mother when time permits."
Bea immediately guessed that Aunt Sienna wanted to meet her mom because of matters relating to Bella and her brother. Thinking it over, she replied, "Aunt Sienna, my mom doesn’t answer calls from unfamiliar numbers. When you want to meet my mom, call me, and I’ll inform her."
"Thank you. Miss Sinclair, I have one more request. Please don’t mention this to Bella, I don’t want her to worry any more."
Having agreed with Bea, Aunt Sienna put the phone back, inching her way back to the hospital bed.
However, her strength was severely limited, and her legs reached their limit, causing her to fall to the ground with a thud.
