Chapter 1033: Chapter 49: Battle of La-Mesnil Abbey (Part 2)_2

"Come on! Undead scum! Come here and meet your death!" Belgar stood on his Ancestral Rune Oath Stone, his Shield of Struggle shining brightly. The power of the Ancestral Soul infused him as the Dwarf Army collectively advanced. The Iron Hammer Warriors shattered the undead resistance, and the addition of the Angland Oathsworn delivered the decisive blow. The dwarven resilience was so intimidating that even the emotionless and morale-less undead were cowed.

"Flaming Storm!" Veronica stood atop the Light Magic Riding. This War Machine had exhausted all its ammunition during the Battle of Black Stone Stronghold, yet its ability to enhance and stabilize spellcasting still shone through. Her graceful, slender silhouette was now shrouded in flames and light. With the help of her apprentice, flames danced upon her dark brown hair as she unleashed a massive Fire Wave. The wave’s passage left the earth wailing, and every undead legion engulfed by the flames vanished without a trace. Whether flesh monstrosities or dead bones, all were reduced to candle ash as if thrown into a fireplace.

The Jialan Witch’s magic reaped the lives of countless undead creatures. The remaining undead army was either destroyed, collapsed, and crumbled on their own, or were shattered into a disorganized mess by the knights’ charges.

Laine’s left-wing army had already secured victory.

In some respects, Laine’s plan had succeeded. Engaged in a duel with Laine, Guer had no time to command, nor did he care that his army faced utter defeat. This Champion of the Four Chaos Gods, primarily devoted to Khorne, was obsessed with beheading Laine to offer it to the Blood God.

As Angerong would say, just chop, what’s command?

Kemler’s understanding of Chaos was ultimately inferior to Laine, the Grey Knight Primarch, and that was precisely Laine’s plan.

At this moment, at the center of the left-wing battlefield, Laine and Guer’s duel continued. The Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Fairy was already battered. His Spiritual Power Armor was full of the black giant axe’s cuts made by Guer, with blood flowing profusely from the wounds.

Guer was in dire straits too. The blood-red Barosh Armor was dented, a giant horn on his helmet shattered by Laine’s hammer, and many of his dead bones were crushed by Laine.

"Wooah!" Guer’s black giant axe left a black crack on Laine’s chest armor. In response, Laine’s Warhammer smashed Guer’s arm. The battered Undead Warrior staggered back, and Laine, seizing the golden opportunity, swung the Mjolnir in a full circle through the chilly air and slammed it into Guer’s chest!

"Aaaaah!" The sound of cracking ribs echoed as the Undead Champion of the Four Chaos Gods was knocked down on the spot. Laine, seizing this chance, launched an all-out assault, not allowing Guer a chance to regain his footing.

One furious attack after another rained down, Guer barely resisting. As Warhammer strikes shook his frame, he finally resorted to his ultimate move, driven by instinct.

It opened its mouth and spewed blue Soul Fire at Laine. The sulfur and death-laden Soul Fire erupted from Guer’s mouth, forming a flame vortex over two meters long and over a meter wide, engulfing Laine!

All eyes on the battlefield turned to witness this. Veronica couldn’t help but scream, knowing the terrifying nature of that flame. The blue Soul Fire could physically burn everything and even destroy an enemy’s soul!

But Laine was Laine, and as everyone looked on in shock, with a roar of frigid anger and seething hatred, the Goddess of Revenge was unsheathed. Silver flames flickering with platinum light glowed with a faint blue hue as Laine charged toward the flames. The sword in his hand sliced through the air, and the Goddess of Revenge split the Soul Fire spewed by Guer with one slash!

The sword of the Goddess of Revenge broke through Guer’s defenses under Laine’s control, the rune-engraved blade piercing Guer’s chest. The breach left by Mjolnir in the earlier battle completed its final mission as the platinum flames and blade entered Guer’s chest, the Light of Spiritual Power purifying and consuming Guer’s strength.

Critically injured, Guer fell back in a silent, anguished scream, clutching his chest and retreating. The silver crack and Spiritual Power spread across his chest, culminating in a massive explosion: "Boom!"

A shockwave erupted before Laine. The Grey Knight Primarch barely raised his sword to block it, yet he was blasted away by the immense force. As the earth quaked, Guer’s figure vanished.

In the nick of time, sensing Guer’s defeat, Kemler teleported Guer away with magic, leaving behind two Corpse Demons to cover the retreat.

The first Corpse Demon had its head smashed by Laine’s fist.

The second Corpse Demon was skewered by Laine’s sword, its body shredded by the blade of the Goddess of Revenge, as platinum flames engulfed it.

Limping slightly, Laine rose to his feet again, raising the Goddess of Revenge and declaring his victory: "Aaaah!"

"Champion! Champion! Champion!!!" The soldiers on the defensive left wing, having witnessed Laine’s triumph, erupted into deafening cheers. The Lake Fairy’s Divine Chosen Champion never failed! They achieved total victory!
