Chapter 174: We’re not late or anything, are we?

Michael looked at Noah, asking him what the point of bringing up such a topic was if it would only raise more curious topics while feeding her curiosity.

"You won’t make babies cause you’re not an adult yet." He said. "Only adults make babies."

Olivia nodded, understandably, and began to put two and two together. Then snapped her fingers, barely since she wasn’t proficient in it, and her eyes twinkled.

"Ah, then that means a boy who likes me might come and kiss me on the lip or cheek but I won’t get pregnant because I’m not an adult, right?"

"Yes, now let me also tell you this. You shouldn’t just let any boy kiss you either." He said. "You have to hit them in the face, give them a good smacking if they try to take advantage of you just because you’re a girl."

"Noah, is this seriously what you’re teaching your daughter right now? Violence?" Michael asked, looking disappointed.

"Don’t worry. You’ll thank me later." Noah said. "Olivia, you remember what I said, right?"

"Yes, daddy. I shouldn’t let any boy who I don’t like kiss me and if they try to, I should hit them and then tell Papa and you when I get back from school." She said and Noah nodded in satisfaction.

"That’s very good."

Michael shook his head. They were hopeless.

"But Daddy," Olivia called. "What if I like the boy first? Do I kiss him instead?"

Noah paused, at a loss for words.

This was a tricky question.

He looked at Michael, who gave him the ’I told you so’ look.

Olivia was a bundle of curiosity, after all.

"Well, you don’t really have to." He said. "Anyways, I’m just telling you this so you won’t get taken advantage of, so don’t take advantage of the boys either. Okay? You’re too young for that."

"Roger, sir." She saluted and Noah sighed in relief, giving Michael the okay signal but Michael shook his head and said,

"You really have your work cut out for you."

He laughed and shrugged.

He simply didn’t want any boy to have his daughter this early on. He’s heard stories about things like this and... He just can’t help it.

"We’re not late or anything, are we?" Noah asked as the school came into view and Michael checked the time.

Since they left the house earlier than usual because of all the excitement, they were rather on time than late.

"Nope. We’re right on time." He said.

Noah pulled into the corner slowly, and then Michael got out first, heading to the back to help Olivia, who had already taken off her seat belt and was scrambling to get her bag.

As the door opened, she turned to see her Papa staring with a raised eyebrow and she smiled, shining her teeth.

"You’re too late."

"You could’ve at least waited for me to come help you." He said as Olivia made her way down from the car with his help.

"I’m just so excited." She said, yelping with glee.

"Why?"

"Because I want to show everyone my daddy." She said and Noah brushed his nose proudly. "He’s so tall, handsome, and tall. Oh wait, I already said that. My Daddy is the best!" She squealed and Noah left.

"Well, your daughter seems to have gotten a pair of fantastic eyes," Noah said, placing his arm around Michael’s shoulder and Michael glanced at him. "What?"

"Just say you’re complimenting her eyes cause she got them from you." He said.

"Ah, that’s right. My eyes are amazing." He grinned and Michael’s face involuntarily flushed.

Why was he grinning so dashingly in front of their daughter’s school?

"Earth to Papa and Daddy," Olivia called out, standing before them with her school bag positioned behind her and her lunchbox in her hand. "Let’s go in already. It’s almost time to sing nursery rhymes."

"Right," Michael said, elbowing Noah so he would take his arm off but he was as sturdy as a rock.

"You’re gonna have to try harder than that." He said and Michael raised an eyebrow at him.

"Anyway, I’m going in now," Olivia announced. "The whole ride was fun, Papa, Daddy."

"You sure?" Michael asked but she shook her head.

"Most of it." She said. "You lost me at the part where I lied," she added and they laughed. "Anyway,"

She beckoned them closer, and they had to bend to their height, so she kissed both their cheeks and smiled happily. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"Bye, Daddy. Bye, Papa. I love you!" She turned around and started heading in. "I’ll see you after school."

"Yeah, we love you too," they said together, their voices overlapping as they watched her head in happily.

This was probably the happiest she had been when being dropped off at school.

Ah, Michael could still recall the first day they dropped her off at school.

She was a crying mess.

Noah leaned back against the car, watching her go till she was nearly out of sight and was blocked by the crowd of kids being dropped off at the same time.

Michael joined him and they stood there in silence for a moment longer.

"I think I should’ve hugged her longer," Noah said.

"Yeah, I think so too," Michael said. "She’s such a fluffball. Like that hamster she bought." He added and Noah laughed.

They stared at the entrance, even though their kid was no longer standing there.

That lingering feeling of bitterness made it hard to just walk away so they decided to stand around for a moment longer.

It’s not like they would chase them off just because they wanted to watch for a while longer.

But along the line, the moms that came to drop their kids started looking at Noah with ’those eyes’ making him uncomfortable.

He looked down at Michael to see if he was finding this annoying but Michael’s attention was far off.

He didn’t even notice that those married women were giving his man the googly eyes.

Such shamelessness.

Because of that, Noah decided to be the one to suggest their leave.

It wasn’t like he liked being stared at anyway.

"Anyway, I think we should get going," Noah said and Michael was about to nod when he noticed a flyer on the wall.

"Hold on. I need to check something." He said and Noah stood there, waiting.

What was he going to check?

He wanted to go along with him but then he sensed a familiar scent.

One he couldn’t forget since it hadn’t been long since he threatened to literally steal his daughter in the guise of an arranged marriage.

He turned his head and there he was, proudly walking in with a child in his arms.

"You..."

It was Steven. Leader of the Red Moon Pack.
