"Em... I don’t think you know what is going on right now in the outside world." – said Thanatos.

"The invaders returned, but they are much weaker because of the seal that the Elder Gods created."

"Again there are many fallowers of theirs, trying to enslave this world."

"But there is also a powerful faction out there who are fighting against the invaders and are planning to completely exterminate the mad fallowers and either kick out or exterminate the invaders all together."

"I’m part of that organization myself, which also include the entire vampire race."

"So their worries were right?" – asked No-Beast.

"What do you mean?" – asked Thanatos.

"Well, your story is correct." – said No-Beast.

"However, the original gods didn’t died instantly after sealing and repairing this land."

"No." – replied No-Beast instantly.

"Unfortunately, the elder gods were wary of possibility of the invaders possible getting their hands on the divinities themselves, so none of the guardians of the temples knows anything."

"And if you are thinking about using two divinities, then forget it."

"These divinities are unique."

"The divinity of our true gods were far more potent and powerful, to the point being like you could never hope to have more than one divinity inside of you."

"Just having them on you may turn into demi-god over time."

"The war caused by the invader gods desolated the entire world and only places guarded directly by the elder gods somehow survived."

"However, people, animals and other beings were brough to almost extinction."

"And so, several gods decided to do about this and formed these islands."

"These floating islands would allow the animals to reproduce, before then sending them down via magic, allowing the land below to be slowly filled with life after the world was repaired."

"So does that mean there are more of this floating islands which worship your god?" – asked Thanatos.

"Yes. Originally." – said No-Beast.

"However, in order to secure the divinity, he reconnected all the islands with earth itself, while leaving only this one with maximize security against the other worlds invader, while also transforming this temple into a trial for worthy."

"...I see." – said Thanatos.

(Then I may had gotten a hint on where the other divinities may be located.) – thought Thanatos.

"Anyway, this was my last question." – said Thanatos.

"I’m ready."

"Very well." – said No-Beast as from underneath its cloak, two massive fur covered arms appeared.

"Then let’s the ceremony begin!" – shouted No-Beast as he clapped his hands together, before moments countless ghosts of a beasts appeared all across the room, howling, singeing and growling in the state of total unison, making the countless different animal sounds not really sound random, but instead sound like a song.

"What is your name?" – asked No-Beast.

"Thanatos."

"Thanatos... You have proven yourself to be a beast that can devour other beasts." – said No-Beast.

"A hunter that can hunt the hunters." – said No-Beast as the altar in the middle of the room opened up, which ended up causing a weird rays of twisted energy to start popping out from it.

"You have conquered and devoured this trial, just as our god wanted."

"You had proven yourself to us that you deserve this reward."

"But this a question yet to be asked."

"Do you wish to devour it?"

"Yes. Let me devour it!" – shouted Thanatos.

"THEN YOU SHALL!" – shouted No-Beast as from the altar, countless fangs and claws were shot out from the alar, before then going straight at Thanatos.

The claws and fangs dug right into Thanatos’s body.... But they didn’t tore it apart.

The fangs and claws were absorbed right into Thanatos’s body, fusing with it.

And in the exact moment the last fang was absorbed, Thanatos’s body began emitting a large amount of purplish energy, while Thanatos’s own body started undergoing a massive change, taking on different forms, growing fangs, claws, wings, tentacles, tendrils and what not.

Changing and changing nonstop, becoming something.... Different.

"All hail the champion!" – shouted No-Beast as the ghosts of animals started disappeared alongside No-Beast’s own body slowly disappearing as well.

"All hail the successor!"

"All hail the one who succeeded our god’s name!" – shouted No-Beast as all the beasts that were in the room were no more.

"All hail! The one who will become the true beast!" – said No-Beast his last words, as his entire body was returned to nothing but ashes.
