Chapter 527: Chapter 527 – Wild Goose Chase.
<<Divinity.>>
<<It is both annoying piece on the board.>>
<<But at the same time, it is opportunity.>>
<<If I can truly turn all of my "daughters" into my fallowers, then I could truly create a new holy empire.>>
<<A empire that will serve in MY name!>>
<<...>>
<<But how?>>
<<That is the main problem.>>
<<Currently? I’m one of the riches players in the game.>>
<<But even I cannot throw around money way too easily.>>
<<But still.... I need more.>>
<<I need another city like Abaddon.>>
<<A city of servants and production.>>
<<...>>
<<But where?>>
<<That is a question.>>
<<Obviously I cannot make one on this small ass continent, which is already under complete domination of vampires.>>
<<The best way to go would be the remains of the fallen holy empire.... But that place has too many "eyes".>>
<<The best place would be somewhat.... "New".>>
<<A conquered region.>>
<<I have few places in mind that I could use to create my second "home".>>
<<However, the acquiring of divinity is currently top priority.>>
<<But again and fucking again, this question.>>
<<WHERE I CAN EVEN FINDS ANY LEADS?!>>
<<It is a fucking race right now.>>
<<For few days, I’ve tried gathering at least SOME information.... But nothing was coming up.>>
<<The basic form of information gathering proven itself useless extremely quickly.>>
<<...>>
<<Landmarks?>>
<<Maybe specifically historical landmarks have something hidden inside of them?>>
<<I mean, in the desert, Diamond found his own divinity, and that place was already apparently filled with history.... Not related to the Elder God though.>>
<<Then again, the temple which is suspected to be the source of the divine power that Arthur had obtained, wasn’t located in some sort of landmark... It was just hidden in the middle of nowhere special.>>
<<....There could be one here.... In this continent where the vampires rules.... But at the same time, they are expanding their nation nonstop.>>
<<Be it above ground or underground.>>
<<There is no way I could swipe it underneath their noses.>>
<<...>>
"Meaning that we have to somehow guess these 3 spots." – said Phantasia as he called a meeting and laid down 3 maps on the table.
"We can gathering information for weeks or month, but that won’t fucking work."
"We need to take action now, even if it is somewhat stupid and risky."
"Meaning one thing."
"Gamble."
"We don’t have any information.... But there maybe a good chance that some special landmarks in this game maybe related to the Elder Gods, for example how Diamond obtained his from that desert."
"...So... You are saying that either of these three locations could have the divinities?" – asked Maparapara as she inspected the maps alongside Thanatos.
"It is just pure speculation.... And I don’t even know if my way of thinking is correct." – said Phantasia.
"But then again, we need to risk it."
"Even if we would waste some of our time, we need to do it."
"And so, I’ve made a list of 3 targets we should check out."
"....Each one seems.... Grand." – said Thanatos while picking up one of the maps.
"For example, this place. I know this."
"D’I’u’m Desert."
"This is a desert zone that is filled to the brim with all sorts of undead monsters."
"You said that Diamond found his one in the desert? Maybe this one will also have one?"
"!"
"Oh wait, I know this one!" – said Maparapara as she picked up the map.
"The Slime Swamp."
"This is the place where I obtained my slime race!"
"Oh.... Right, you did mentioned that place once yourself when we asked about that race of yours." – said Thanatos.
"I’ve spent there good few months.... But I never heard anything about Elder God...." – said Maparapara.
"But still, it is one of the possible targets, which we need to investigate." – said Phantasia.
"The last target is this place." – said Phantasia as he held in his hand the third map.
"The Reverse Mountains."
"A massive flying islands, with countless mountains aiming downwards."
"These three bizarre places may have the temples or some kind of trails left behind by the Elder Gods."
"Again, this is just speculation."
"The only reason why I even pointed at them was because how bizarre those places are."
"There maybe a chance that there is not even a single divinity in any of those places."
"Maybe the divinities are hidden in somewhere more plain."
"But again, we have no fucking info."
"Then how is it better from the wild goose chase that we wanted to avoid?!" – asked annoyed Maparapara.
"Hey. I’m the ones that is most pissed off here, since I was the one against this fucking idea of search without clue." – said annoyed Phantasia.
"But here I’m, admitting that my idea was stupid and the only way we can do anything is to do this stupid fucking goose chase."
"..."
"Ah, fuck it. Let’s just do it." – said Thanatos.
"Honestly, I’m also against this wild goose chase, but again, we don’t have enough time."
"Sooner or later the competition in the hunt for the divinity will increase nonstop."
"Maybe some of the major factions are already on the move."
"...And there are also the players with divinities already."
"I doubt that they have any clues on where to find these divinities... But again, we shouldn’t cross them out just yet."
"We should be wary of their movements."
"..."
"So how do we do this then?" – asked Maparapra.
"3 locations."
"And 3 of us."
"Do we split up?"
"..."
"Well.... That is the question we need to think of." – said Phantasia with conflicted expression.
"I mean, will there be some kind of trail involved with those divinities? And how hard are they?"
"My army... Well, simply put, you already know that they need to stay out of sight."
"If I could, I would had given you my monsters... But there would be problems with that."
"..."
"Which is why I have these things ready." – said Phantasia as he pulled out from his inventory, a gem like devices.
"!"
"Dungeon cores?" – asked Thanatos.
"Yeah... You can uses this ones." – said Phantasia.
"They are strong, from the get go."
"They were expensive to make, since normally dungeon needs time to grow and expand.... But these ones grown and expand at alarming rate, while at the same time already possessing alarming level of strength."
"With these four dungeon cores, you can create instant dungeons, which will start creating rampaging monsters."
"Huh... I thought your dungeon crafting ability sucked ass.... But why you didn’t used it before then?" – asked Maparapara as she picked one of the cores.
"Well, maybe because I’m crafting these cores?" – replied Phantasia.
"Making core, a good core that can create a good dungeon, not only eats a lot, but it needs a shit ton of sacrifices in form of monsters."
"And these instant danger dungeons costed even more, since I needed to somehow power them up so many times until they reach this current level."
"Anyway, with these cores, it should give you two abilities to create monsters that will be loyal to you."
"But again, as you already know, it takes time for the dungeon monsters to be allowed to leave the dungeon."
"So, we can either use them means of creating soldiers, which could possible help us out in clearing the trials that could happened." – said Thanatos.
"Or creating chaos, if we were to encounter other players."
"Oh, I see... True. We may end up fighting other players, if they would have same idea as us." – said Maparapara.
"...So. This guy has his army, and we get the two dungeon cores each, which we can use for our own personal uses."
"Which means, we have no problem now with splitting up."
"Yeb. We can now decided who and where goes." – said Phantasia.
"This is no brainer from me, but I will be taking the Slime Swamp. I know many NPCs and monsters there, so maybe they could help me out."
"Then I should go to the D’I’u’m Desert." – said Phantasia.
"That place is crawling to the brim with monsters, but with my own army I can clear them out and also make myself a space in order to start digging around."
"... So I’m left with Reverse Mountains?" – asked Thanatos.
"Yeb." – replied Phantasia.
"That place is not really filled with monsters, if anything it is peaceful land that is ruled by the some no name kingdom."
"But... Maybe there is something hidden there."
"Your ability to accurate search territory and to sneak around completely unnoticed will be a key factor in exploration of that territory."
"And with that said, we should start our preparations."
<<Honestly... I still didn’t liked this plan.>>
<<A freaking goose chase.>>
<<But again and again.>>
<<No time left.>>
<<We need to acquire the divinities.>>
<<It would be nice if all 3 of us were to obtain them.... But I may be aiming too high.>>
<<Not only that.... My predictions are going haywire.>>
<<My "playboard" is showing way too many cracks because how many new pieces are being thrown all once.... And I can guess that even more will be thrown into the future.>>
<<And they won’t be "friendly" pieces to say the least.>>
<<We need to speed up.>>
<<And I meant it.>>
<<If we don’t, then not only my plan may end up being screwed, but all of us may end up getting fucked right in the ass.>>
<<Securing the divinities of the Elder Gods is our current top priority.>>
<<A priority we need to fulfil no matter what.>>
