Chapter 213: Wedding (Part 2)

That line drew faint smiles and knowing nods from the guests, a ripple of shared defiance, and Emily felt her throat tighten all over again, her vision blurring.

The walk down the aisle seemed to stretch and narrow at once, time bending under the gravity of the moment. Every step felt monumental, the train of her gown trailing like a comet’s tail, petals crunching softly underfoot.

Every breath was measured, scented with wax and blooms. At the halfway point, Ana’s father leaned in, his breath warm against her ear. "You are almost there, dear one. Look at them—they’ve been waiting their whole lives for this."

Lily’s father gave her hand one final, firm squeeze, his voice a gravelly whisper. "Go on now. They are waiting. And so is your future."

Then they reached the altar, the air thick with anticipation.

For a second, Emily did not move. She stood there with both fathers beside her, the veil falling softly around her face like a halo, the white of her gown glowing against the warm lights, her bouquet trembling in her grip. The five alpha women gazed at her as though the rest of the world had dissolved into irrelevance—only her, only this.

The priest smiled gently, his eyes twinkling. "Who brings this bride forward?"

Ana’s father answered first, voice steady with pride. "Her family and I do—her chosen kin."

Lily’s father nodded beside him, throat working. "And I do, with all my heart."

The priest gave a slow nod, then turned to the group, his presence a steady current. "Before us stands a bond chosen by all present. In this union, there is not ownership, but devotion. Not possession, but promise. If you stand here willingly, speak now with your hearts."

One by one, the alpha women stepped forward just slightly, their voices weaving a tapestry of commitment.

Hellen’s came first, low and steady as bedrock. "I stand here willingly, with every beat of my heart."

Reyes followed, her tone roughened by emotion. "I stand here willingly, guarding this love with my life."

Ivory’s voice was softer, but certain, laced with her signature warmth. "I stand here willingly, forever your light in the shadows."

Ana looked at Emily with such tenderness that her knees nearly buckled, her words a caress. "I stand here willingly; my soul entwined with yours."

Finally, Lily spoke, her voice quieter than the others but no less certain, vibrating with quiet fire. "I stand here willingly, through every storm and calm."

Emily’s lips trembled under the veil, tears spilling freely now. When the priest turned to her, she drew in a shaky breath, the world steadying.

"Do you come here freely, Emily?"

"Yes," she said, her voice soft but clear, gaining strength. "Freely and fully."

"Do you choose this bond—this life with them?"

She looked at the five of them, all in pristine white, all waiting, all hers in the only way that mattered—beyond laws, beyond judgment. "Yes, I do. With everything I am."

A faint smile touched the priest’s face, approval warming his features. "Then let the vows be spoken."

The ceremony unfolded in gentle rhythm after that, the alphas going first. Hellen vowed protection like a shield, her hand brushing Emily’s.

Reyes promised honesty, raw and unfiltered. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Ivory pledged patience and laughter through trials.

Ana offered unwavering support, her eyes never leaving Emily’s.

Lily whispered of enduring love, fierce and quiet.

Emily’s own vows came amid trembling breaths and tears tracing silver paths down her cheeks. She promised to love them fiercely, to trust through doubts, to choose them every dawn, even when life raged or the world turned cruel.

Her voice shook at first— "I-I... v-vow to hold... y-you when... you falter, to fight beside you, to build our home on laughter and forgiveness"—but steadied into resolve, each word a brick in their foundation.

When the vows were done, the priest raised his hands for the final blessing. "May your home be built on care and joy. May your hearts remain open to growth. May this union be guided by truth, strengthened by tenderness, and protected by the love you have chosen—a love that defies borders and binds eternally."

Then came the ring exchange, simple platinum bands etched with intertwined vines symbolizing their unbreakable weave. Emily’s hands were careful, almost reverent, as she slid each into place.

With every one, an alpha kissed her skin—Hellen the back of her hand, her mouth gentle and reverent, lingering like a prayer. Reyes her fingertips, fierce yet tender.

Ivory her palm, her smile sparking a blush that heated Emily’s core. Ana her wrist, slow and warm, pulse jumping under the touch. Lily the inside of her hand last, lingering a heartbeat longer, her breath a soft promise against Emily’s skin.

The alphas exchanged rings among themselves too—sisterhood sealed—before turning back to her.

And then the priest smiled wide, his voice ringing with joy. "You may seal your vows."

The five alpha women converged at once, though with exquisite restraint, as if afraid to overwhelm their bride before the words were fully theirs. Hellen kissed her first through the veil, soft and careful, lips pressing like a vow renewed.

Reyes her forehead next, a protective brand. Ivory her cheek, drawing a watery laugh through her tears. Ana the corner of her mouth, tenderness sending shivers cascading down her spine.

Lily was last, her kiss the gentlest—near Emily’s lips, a brush of devotion so profound Emily felt her whole heart turn over, melting into the moment.

The room erupted in soft applause, warm laughter, and a symphony of happy tears from the guests—Ana’s family cheering loudest, Lily’s kin dabbing eyes with handkerchiefs.

Emily stood there with her veil still on, face flushed rose, eyes shining like stars, lips trembling into a smile that felt impossible to contain.

Surrounded by her white-suited alphas, guided by the fathers who had walked her forward, she finally felt the full weight of it settle into her chest—not as burden, but as wings.

She was not alone unlike her previous life.
