Chapter 155: I Am Not Your Fiancée!
My legs still felt weak and wobbly from all the therapy. I couldn’t stand on my own for long at all. After just a minute, I needed a wall or someone’s strong arm to hold me up steady. Because of this problem, Hellen wouldn’t let me work on anything.
She said no to the new Helly Paws designs release. She also forbade the HIER line too. HIER was the casual everyday clothes part of the big Herlos brand.
"Rest first, my little kitten. No work until you can stand steady on those legs," she told me firm that very morning.
Her big hand rested gentle on my short bob hair, fingers combing through soft. She leaned down and kissed my forehead warm and protective, her honey-citrus scent wrapping me safe like always.
"Emily, listen close now. You don’t understand—I’m your real family here. I care about you deep, always have, even when things were bad," Alexei said urgent, his voice low and pushing.
His eyes looked soft for once, almost pleading. He stepped even closer, like his words alone could wipe away years of our old fights and hate.
"You care for her like that?" came a sharp new voice cutting in. It was Kien, the next male lead, walking up fast with long strides. He wore a neat gray suit that fit perfect. His eyes stayed cold and hard. His scent got strong and mad, filling the air thick.
He glared daggers at Alexei and Ryan. They glared right back just as fierce.
Then Felix showed up too, striding in smooth. He looked like a golden-boy dream in his clean white linen clothes. His eyes turned mean and narrow quick.
Now all four male leads stood circling me tight in the waiting room.
What was even happening? It felt like I called them here by accident, like some bad luck spell summoning a dragon or something totally crazy.
"Your dad hurt her so bad, Alexei—don’t act blind," Felix said, his words dripping full of anger and venom low. "My fiancée got wrecked bad because of your family’s mess."
Everyone’s heads snapped around fast to stare at him when he dropped ’fiancée.’ My face went pale as a ghost right then, blood draining cold. My stomach twisted sick and heavy.
Fiancée? No way in hell—I hate him, always hated him deep.
Ugly memories crashed hard in my head—the old forced contract between OG Emily’s family and Felix’s family, all for money and control. My whole body started trembling bad, shakes I couldn’t stop. The mall memories flashed in front of his eyes—all the things that he did.
"She is not your fiancée—never!" Alexei yelled loud and roaring. His scent went wild and raging, flooding thick.
Kien shot Felix a freezing ice glare, eyes like daggers. "What the hell are you even talking about, Felix? Did that beating those people gave you mess up your head for good?"
"You got beat down too—don’t pretend you’re some saint here," Felix snapped back fast and sharp. Then he turned right to me direct, his lips curling in a mean smirk. "You remember our contract clear, don’t you, Emily? It’s real—signed, sealed, done deal."
"There is no contract at all!" I lied quick as I could, my voice coming out high and shaky all wrong. My short bob hair swung wild side to side as hot tears pricked my eyes sharp.
Alexei showed his sharp teeth in a deep growl. "No contract exists! I say no—it’s over, finished!"
"Why even believe his lies, Kien?" Ryan said mad, his scent pulling tight and tense.
Felix just smiled bigger, cool and unshakeable like he owned the truth. "Lies won’t help you escape now, sweetheart."
Tears filled my eyes hot and fast—I wiped them away quick with my shaky trembling hands.
"Emily, tell us—is there really a contract between your families?" Kien asked serious, all their eyes boring into me hard like lasers.
"Is he telling the truth about it?" Ryan pressed close, his face turning hard and demanding.
I stood up slow and wobbly, grabbing the chair arm white-knuckled tight to hold me. I glared at them all mad and fierce. "So, what if there is one hidden away? I’m not marrying you, Felix! I’m not your fiancée—never will be, get that straight!"
"Time will show you different, princess," Felix said with that smug little smile, eyes glinting.
"Nothing will ever happen—mark my words!" I shot back full of venom and fire.
Alexei grabbed Felix’s shirt collar hard with a rough yank, pulling him close and slamming him toward the wall rough. "She won’t marry you—stay the hell away!"
"You can’t force her into anything like that," Ryan growled low and mad, stepping right up big. His pine scent clashed heavy with Alexei’s wild sea-storm smell.
"We grew up together side by side. We’re sweethearts—history always wins," Felix said calm. He smiled wide and pushed Alexei away easy with his raw alpha strength, smooth as nothing.
I watched them fight, push, and glare at each other close. It hit me clear as the bright therapy glow on my skin—they want me now... after I was revealed as an omega.
Their hungry looks were just like the alphas back home—eyes dark with claim. But theirs felt all wrong, twisted gross. It made my skin crawl itchy, not safe warm love. Just pure disgusting want.
"I know exactly what you all really want from me!" I yelled loud, standing up tall even as my legs shook hard under me. My short bob framed my furious eyes glaring daggers.
"Emily—what?" Alexei said, blinking confused for a second.
I thought back quick to Dr. Ana’s warning words clear in my head. Your smell is super strong now, rarer than normal omegas—pulls them hard like a magnet.
Ryan had sniffed it deep at that party, and Alexei tried to nuzzle my neck creepy long ago, whispering something wrong. Felix and Kien started circling close only after I changed fully omega. They saw me as some special rare prize to own now.
"You are all disgusting alphas—hear me?!" I said with a raw sore voice, pointing sharp at each one between them. "Now that I’m omega, you come running like dogs! Is it because Lily’s alpha too? Jealous you can’t have her now?"
"Emily, no—it’s not like that at all," Kien said fast, his earth scent trying to go soft and pleading.
"You hated me so much before! You hurt me over and over!" I spat out, hot tears running down my face in wet tracks.
"We made big mistakes back then. We were so wrong!" Felix insisted quick, his eyes going fake soft like pretend.
"No way! Fuck you all straight! I don’t want your old pity now—or you as second choices after everything!" My voice broke hard at the end, cracking loud. I sat down heavy in the chair, shaking all over bad.
I don’t want second-hand goods!
