Chapter 75: Two Treasure Chests Appear
Before Damian arrived at the Mission Hall, the place was already lively.
Disciples moved in and out of the hall. Some were accepting missions, some were returning with injuries, and some were exchanging information in small groups.
Near one of the side pillars, two young women stood together.
One had long yellow hair and sharp eyes, with faint arcs of thunder flickering around her fingers.
It was Raika.
Beside her stood another young woman with long red hair tied loosely behind her back.
Her eyes were warm amber, and the edges of her robes carried flame-like patterns that moved slightly whenever her Qi stirred.
Her name was Akane, Raika’s childhood friend.
Unlike Raika’s sharp aura, Akane felt warmer, livelier, and much easier to approach.
At that moment, Akane was looking at Raika with a teasing smile. "Just what happened, huh, Raika?"
She placed a hand on her chin and grinned. "Suddenly attacking Elder Selvara’s new disciple in the Sword Trial Arena. That doesn’t sound like you."
Raika crossed her arms. "I just wanted to test him. What’s wrong with that?"
Akane’s smile widened. "What’s wrong with that? You threw lightning talismans at him without any warning at all."
Raika looked away slightly. "He dodged."
Akane almost laughed. "That is not the point."
Raika remained silent for a moment.
Akane tilted her head. "Just tell me... you really are interested in him, huh? This is the first time you’ve shown interest in a man."
Raika’s eyes narrowed slightly. "In his strength."
Akane nodded with an exaggerated serious expression. "Of course. My bad. Interested in his strength, and definitely not the fact that he flirted with you in the middle of the fight."
Raika’s eyebrow twitched.
Akane placed a hand over her mouth and laughed softly. "What did he say again? He didn’t want to hurt your beautiful face?"
Several nearby disciples who heard that quietly turned their heads away, pretending not to listen.
Raika’s face remained calm, but a faint crackle of thunder appeared near her shoulder. "Akane."
Akane immediately raised both hands. "Alright, alright. I won’t tease you too much."
But her smile did not disappear.
After a moment, Akane looked toward the entrance of the Mission Hall. "Still, Elder Selvara’s disciple, huh? I heard he only arrived recently, but he already caused a commotion."
Raika nodded slightly. "He is troublesome."
Akane chuckled. "That sounds like your type of opponent."
Raika did not deny it.
Just then, several disciples near the entrance suddenly began whispering.
"He’s here."
"Elder Selvara’s new disciple."
Raika and Akane both turned their eyes toward the entrance.
A young man walked into the Mission Hall with a lazy smile on his face, his dark-silver sword hanging at his waist.
Akane’s eyes brightened slightly. "Oh? So that’s Damian?"
Raika quietly watched him.
For some reason, the corner of her mouth lifted a little. "Yes. That’s him."
---
The moment Damian entered the Mission Hall, his gaze naturally moved toward Raika.
After all, a one-hundred-and-fifty-times multiplier was not something he could casually ignore.
Raika also noticed him immediately.
The moment their eyes met, Damian grinned.
Raika’s eyes narrowed slightly, and faint thunder began flickering around her fingers again.
Damian’s mouth twitched.
"Damn... does this woman only know how to greet people by attacking?"
But before he could say anything, his gaze suddenly shifted toward the red-haired woman standing beside Raika.
The next instant, a familiar system screen appeared.
---

---
Damian froze.
For a moment, even his lazy smile almost disappeared.
"Two hundred times?"
His heart suddenly beat harder.
He had just been thinking Raika was already an amazing golden treasure chest, but who would have thought the red-haired woman beside her was even more exaggerated?
Damian almost wanted to laugh.
"Damn... what kind of luck is this?"
Not only did Akane have a higher multiplier than Raika, but her element was also flame.
Raika was thunder, and Akane was flame.
That meant the two Mid-Rank Noble Grade sword arts Selvara had given him were almost perfectly suited for them.
The moment Damian thought of this, his grin slowly became brighter.
This Mission Hall trip was already worth it before he even accepted a mission.
Without hesitation, Damian walked directly toward the two women.
Raika noticed him coming and immediately took half a step forward.
Thunder crackled faintly around her palm.
Damian’s smile froze slightly. "Hey, hey, don’t tell me you’re going to attack me again."
Raika looked at him calmly. "You dodged last time."
Damian’s mouth twitched. "Because normal people dodge when lightning comes at their face."
Raika’s eyes sharpened.
But before she could move, Akane reached out and lightly grabbed her sleeve.
"Raika," Akane said with a soft laugh, "this is the Mission Hall. If you attack him here, the elders will definitely scold you."
Raika paused and slowly withdrew her Thunder Qi. Damian secretly sighed in relief, as at least one of them seemed reasonable.
Akane turned toward Damian with a warm smile. "So you are Damian, Elder Selvara’s new disciple."
Damian immediately adjusted his expression and smiled charmingly. "That’s right."
His gaze moved between Raika and Akane, and his smile became even more polite. "Beautiful misses, why don’t we have a talk?"
Raika’s eyebrow twitched instantly.
The nearby disciples also became silent for a moment.
No one had expected Damian to speak so boldly in front of Raika and Akane at the same time.
Raika stared at him coldly. "Do you speak to every woman like this?"
Damian smiled calmly. "Only the beautiful ones."
Akane blinked once.
Then she suddenly laughed softly, her amber eyes curving with amusement. "You really are interesting."
Raika glanced at her. "Akane."
Akane waved her hand lightly. "Relax. If he wanted to cause trouble, he would not be smiling so openly."
Damian nodded seriously. "Exactly. I am a very honest person."
Raika clearly did not believe even half a word.
Akane smiled and turned around. "Follow me."
Damian’s grin widened as he followed her.
