Chapter 170: The Gift Rules Changed

Damian stared at the glowing system screen for several breaths.

The [Yes] and [No] options floated silently in front of him, waiting for his decision.

Damian rubbed his chin, then nodded seriously. "Okay, then."

His finger moved forward. "Let’s just press yes."

The moment his fingertip touched [Yes], the entire system screen trembled.

A bright light flashed in front of his eyes.

---

[Villainess Breaker System Upgrade Beginning]

[Please Wait]

---

Damian leaned back inside the carriage and crossed his arms while waiting.

A while later, the screen flashed again.

---

[Upgrade Successful]

[Villainess Breaker System has been upgraded]

---

Damian immediately sat up straighter. "Good. Then what changed here, system?"

The system responded at once.

---

[System Rules Have Changed]

[Host, Please Review the New Rules Carefully]

---

A new screen appeared in front of Damian.

---

[Rule 1: Identical Item Quantity Limit Remains Unchanged]

[For pills, talismans, elixirs, and similar consumable items, the maximum reward calculation applies only to ten identical items per gifting attempt]

[Items beyond the first ten may still be gifted, but they will not increase the reward calculation]

---

Damian nodded slowly. "Okay, that part is still the same. Ten pills, ten talismans, ten whatever. Annoying, but fair."

The next lines appeared.

---

[Rule 2: Emotional Influence Remains Active]

[Shock, love, gratitude, admiration, fear, trust, dependency, hatred, and other strong emotional changes can affect reward quality]

[The stronger the emotional impact caused by the Host’s gift, the higher the chance of enhanced return quality]

---

Damian’s eyes lit up. "Good. Very good. So shocking someone until their brain stops working is still useful."

The screen shifted again.

---

[Rule 3: Weekly Gift Limit Removed]

[Previous Rule: The Host may gift up to five eligible women once per week]

[New Rule: The Host may gift one eligible woman per day]

---

Damian froze.

A small crease appeared between his brows. "Wait... one girl per day? That’s better, but also worse."

His fingers tapped against his knee. "What if I find a whole group of treasure chests at once? Do I just tell them to line up and wait for tomorrow? Damn. That’s awkward."

Before he could complain more, another rule appeared.

---

[Rule 4: Peak Emotional Trust Exception Added]

[Aside from the daily gifting target, the Host may also gift women who have reached Peak Emotional Trust toward the Host once per day]

[This exception does not consume the daily gifting chance]

---

Damian’s eyes widened.

A second later, a pleased laugh slipped out of his mouth. "Good God. Now that’s really good."

The system continued.

---

[Rule 5: System Return Gifting Function Unlocked]

[Rewards obtained from the system may now be gifted again]

[Restriction: This function applies only to women who have reached Peak Emotional Trust toward the Host]

[Restriction: Only Extreme Multiplier can trigger a return. If an Extreme Multiplier is not triggered, no return will be generated and the gift will still be consumed]

---

Damian stared at the rule for a long moment.

Slowly, his expression turned brighter. "Now this is what I like. I can finally gift system rewards to others."

His excitement lasted for only a few breaths before his eyes moved back to the restriction. "But still..."

He rubbed his chin. "The restriction on the women is okay. Peak Emotional Trust means they already fully trust me, so giving them something valuable is safer."

His gaze became sharper. "The multiplier condition is the hard part. Basically, if I gift a system reward to a woman, the return needs to trigger an Extreme Multiplier. If not, I lose the reward and get nothing back."

Damian clicked his tongue. "So it’s high risk, high return."

A few breaths later, his grin returned. "It doesn’t matter."

He leaned back against the carriage wall, his fingers tapping lightly against his knee.

"From the start, I already wanted to give system rewards to Violetta and the others to strengthen them."

A low laugh escaped Damian’s mouth. "Hehehe... this kind of update is really good. System, is there another upgrade?"

The system screen flickered again.

---

[Additional Function Unlocked]

[Peak Emotional Trust has been renamed to Favorability]

[Favorability represents the target’s trust, emotional dependence, affection, loyalty, and willingness to stand with the Host]

---

Damian raised an eyebrow. "Favorability? Just a name change?"

He leaned closer to the screen, looking slightly dissatisfied. "What about the others? Don’t tell me that’s all there is."

The screen continued.

---

[New Function: True Villainess Story]

[Based on a target’s Favorability, the Host may view parts of the target’s true villainess story]

[The higher the Favorability, the more complete the story that can be viewed]

[Targets who have completely changed their villainess fate will have their full story unlocked]

---

Damian slowly sat up straighter.

This time, real interest appeared in his eyes. "Wait. If it’s like this..."

His fingers tapped lightly against his knee. "Now I can make sure they don’t walk straight into their bad endings and die like idiots."

A second later, he laughed out loud. "Hahaha! You’re the best, system."

The system remained silent.

Damian quickly rubbed his chin again. "But those four women already changed their villainess fate and ended their bad endings, right? Linsey, Helena, Cynthia, and Evelyn."

He leaned closer to the screen. "So can I know their real story?"

---

[Yes, Host]

[The true villainess stories of Linsey, Helena, Cynthia, and Evelyn have been unlocked]

[Would the Host like to view them?]

[Yes / No]

---

Another screen appeared.

This time, it looked less like a normal system message and more like a glowing archive filled with numerous pictures.

Damian blinked. "What is this? A database?"

The screen shifted slightly, showing faint moving scenes inside the records.

His expression turned strange. "No... is this a film? Or some kind of documentary?"

A slow grin returned to his face. "I don’t care. At least with this, I won’t be bored anymore."

He leaned back inside the carriage, one hand supporting his chin as the red mist drifted past the window. "Let me see what happened to those four troublesome beauties."

As the glowing archive opened in front of him, Damian casually reached into his storage ring and took out a small bag of snacks.

His grin widened. "Good. Now it feels like watching a proper show."
