Chapter 219: Faction Wars!
The gigantic wooden chamber remained silent for several moments after the survivors regained their senses.
Nobody moved immediately. Nobody spoke immediately. The transition had happened too suddenly. One moment they had been living their respective lives inside the Dream Realm, and the next they found themselves standing inside a place unlike anything they had ever seen before.
Endless walls of ancient wood stretched upward beyond sight. The more people observed their surroundings, the more they became convinced of a terrifying possibility. They were no longer standing inside a simple inheritance ground. They were standing inside the World Tree itself.
Tony Clark slowly surveyed the surroundings while countless participants did the same. The first thing he noticed wasn’t the environment. It was the number of people. The survivors were far fewer than when they originally entered the World Tree Blessing.
Hundreds had entered. Only tens remained. Many familiar faces were missing. Some disciples from powerful families had vanished. Some academy geniuses had vanished. Some famous talents who once boasted confidently before entering the Dream Realm had vanished completely.
The realization gradually spread throughout the crowd. Survival itself had become proof of strength.
Groups naturally began forming. Human disciples gathered around familiar faces. Family members regrouped. Sect disciples sought out their companions. Old alliances immediately resurfaced.
The Clark Family disciples naturally gathered around Tony. Leo was already beside his brother. Kevin Ten arrived first, still carrying his usual carefree smile despite spending months inside the Dream Realm. Lily arrived shortly afterward and visibly relaxed when she confirmed Tony was alive.
Emma Rock remained nearby while silently observing the crowd.
The bald monk stood several steps away pretending to be indifferent while secretly observing everyone.
Meanwhile, Elsa and the surviving members of the Demonic Sea Tribe gathered together on the opposite side of the chamber. Their numbers had shrunk considerably, but their expressions remained calm. Especially Elsa. The sea tribe princess appeared completely unconcerned by the surrounding tension.
The silence gradually disappeared as discussions began spreading through the chamber. Participants exchanged stories. Some complained about their fate. Others compared opportunities.
One disciple loudly cursed because he had spent his entire Dream Realm life as an ordinary farmer. Another complained about being born into poverty and dying before reaching adulthood.
Several participants laughed bitterly while discussing their experiences. One unfortunate fellow admitted that he had spent his entire Dream Realm life as a hunting dog serving a village hunter.
The confession immediately caused countless nearby disciples to burst into laughter. Compared to those stories, the participants who had been born into noble families clearly possessed an enormous advantage.
While the crowd remained occupied with discussions, several people finally noticed an important detail.
Mark Smith was missing.
The Imperial Family’s strongest participant wasn’t present.
The realization quickly spread among the Imperial disciples. Several of them immediately began searching the crowd again.
Mark wasn’t there.
The atmosphere around the Imperial faction immediately became heavy.
One of the Imperial disciples slowly stepped forward while scanning the surroundings. His expression looked increasingly ugly. He had entered the World Tree Blessing alongside Mark. He had witnessed Mark’s confidence. He had witnessed the prince’s ambition. Yet now there wasn’t even a trace of him among the survivors.
His eyes eventually landed upon Tony.
The disciple immediately frowned.
Not because Tony had done anything. Simply because Tony was present.
Tony survived... Mark did not. The contrast irritated him.
Several Imperial disciples followed his gaze. Soon more eyes landed upon Tony.
The Clark Family members immediately noticed the change.
The Imperial disciple finally walked forward. His companions followed behind him.
The surrounding crowd quickly noticed the movement.
Many conversations stopped. People began paying attention. Everyone understood that something interesting was about to happen.
The Imperial disciple stopped several meters away from Tony before speaking in a cold voice.
"So you survived."
Tony looked at him calmly.
The disciple continued. "You killed Mark, right?"
The surrounding crowd became shocked. Several disciples moved closer. Even Elsa looked toward the confrontation.
"What exactly are you trying to say? Do you have any proof that I killed Mark?"
The Imperial disciple’s expression darkened. He clearly didn’t like Tony’s attitude. "Nothing for now."
"Then shut your mouth and go- fu0k yourself!" Kent barked with a sinister look.
Several nearby disciples struggled to hide their smiles.
The Imperial disciple almost lost his temper. He took a deep breath before continuing. "I simply know that you killed my brother, Mark."
Tony immediately laughed.
The unexpected reaction caused the disciple to freeze. "What is so funny?"
Tony pointed toward the crowd. "Do you know how many people entered the Dream Realm? Do you know how large the Dream Realm was? Yet somehow you speak as though every participant spent the entire trial standing beside each other."
Several disciples immediately laughed.
The Imperial disciple’s face darkened.
Tony continued. "Maybe Mark survived longer than me. Maybe shorter. Maybe we never met. Maybe we fought. The point is simple... I arrived here at the same time as everyone else."
Several neutral disciples nodded. The logic was difficult to argue against.
The Imperial disciple clearly knew it too. Unfortunately, he didn’t like hearing it.
The surrounding crowd gradually began murmuring among themselves. Some agreed with Tony. Others remained neutral. A few Imperial disciples looked dissatisfied. Yet nobody could challenge the logic behind his words.
Meanwhile, Elsa silently observed the scene while standing among her surviving tribe members. A faint smile appeared on her face as she watched the various factions slowly gathering together.
Human disciples clustered around family ties. Sect disciples reunited with their companions. Old enemies recognized one another. Old grudges slowly resurfaced. The Dream Realm had ended, but the competition clearly had not.
All around the gigantic chamber, hundreds of survivors continued gathering into their respective groups while carefully observing everyone else.
Some searched for allies. Some searched for enemies. Some searched for opportunities.
And beneath the ancient roots of the World Tree, surrounded by survivors who had endured countless hardships to reach this point, everyone gradually understood the same thing.
"They should not involve in any fight! And must not cross with Tony!"
