Chapter 279: Chapter 276: The Beast in Gentleman’s Clothing
He never expected the woman to keep smiling, and her indifference to Liu Gang’s anger didn’t bother her at all.
"Gang, I know you don’t need it today, but is it that bad to have an extra person to dine with you?"
The woman got up from the bed, adjusted her clothes, and poured herself a glass of wine.
The wine was cheap and tasteless; the only thing noticeable was its spiciness as it went down the throat.
After downing two glasses, Liu Gang suddenly found this woman quite interesting.
Since he couldn’t drive her away, he might as well let her stay.
What mainly troubled him was the thought of his ex-wife, possibly cooing over her cousin at this moment.
His heart felt unbearable anguish.
The two people miles away had no idea that their affair had been discovered by the person who knew them best, a stranger nonetheless.
After the candlelit dinner, Zhang Hao told He Qianhui to go to the bedroom first and change into that outfit.
With the courage from the wine, He Qianhui also satisfied Zhang Hao’s desire.
"You, at such a young age, are already so playful. You’ll be a real rascal when you’re old."
Zhang Hao wasn’t upset by He Qianhui’s words; in fact, he felt quite happy.
That’s just how it should be between a man and a woman, teasing and joking to make life joyful.
He Qianhui returned to the bedroom, took off her bathrobe, and admired her figure in the mirror, curvaceous and well-defined.
Especially her bust, so large yet not sagging at all, the round peaks topped with a delicate cherry.
He Qianhui touched it with her fingertip, feeling tingling sensations, but it was nothing compared to the thrill Zhang Hao brought.
After changing into the outfit, she looked again – everything that should be covered was covered, and everything that shouldn’t be was exposed.
However, the fabric of the clothing was super thin, super transparent.
If one looked closely enough, they could still see her voluptuous body.
For a moment, He Qianhui suddenly felt embarrassed to come out.
Zhang Hao, seeing that she had not come out for a long time, knew she must be feeling shy.
So, he simply went straight to the bedroom and saw her sitting on the bed, her back to him.
The outfit was black with thin straps no thicker than noodles.
He Qianhui, with dexterous hands, tied a knot at the back, leaving the excess string hanging down.
He Qianhui, hearing the noise behind her, quickly turned around.
Just by turning her head, the clothes suddenly snapped, especially at the bust, where the restraints suddenly loosened.
Frightened, she quickly covered herself with her hands.
"What kind of clothes did you buy – a defective product, right? Look at this, I barely moved and it burst open. Next time we can’t buy from them again."
Despite her complaining, there was a touch of small happiness in He Qianhui’s expression.
Anyway, the two were going to tangle together later, and if the clothes were too durable, it might be a disappointment.
Zhang Hao pounced on her, pressing He Qianhui beneath him.
Sure enough, the clothing quality was indeed not up to par; the sounds of tearing were heard as soon as they entangled.
"I spent twenty bucks on this outfit; is the quality really that bad?" Zhang Hao was puzzled too.
"It’s good that it’s bad, otherwise, if it doesn’t tear however much you rip it, wouldn’t that be boring?"
Zhang Hao thought about it and felt that what He Qianhui said made sense.
"You really know best. Let’s get started."
The next morning, neither of them heard the alarm clock. By the time they woke up, it was already nine o’clock.
He Qianhui sat up from the bed in an instant, and Zhang Hao did almost the same.
It was all because they played too wildly the night before and forgot that they had to work the next day.
They washed up in a hurry, not even caring about the disorder at home.
Even so, Zhang Hao still dropped He Qianhui off at her company first before going back to the hospital.
Being late for work was a rare event indeed.
However, when Zhang Hao arrived at the department, he found that there were already patients waiting for him.
"Doctor Zhang, you finally made it. Please help us out," said one of the doctors.
Zhang Hao was answering as he changed his clothes. He had just sat down, and he hadn’t even had the chance to turn on the computer yet.
The patient had already taken a seat in the chair in front of him.
"What’s bothering you?"
The patient described each and every discomfort in their body, and Zhang Hao made judgments based on the symptoms.
After a bustling morning, Zhang Hao took the opportunity during the lunch break to call He Qianhui.
He asked her whether the manager docked her pay for arriving late to work.
He Qianhui was leaning on her office desk: "No, I’m the apple of the company’s eye now."
"Even if they were to dock pay, they wouldn’t dock mine. Is everything alright on your end? I’m afraid of disturbing your work, so I dare not send you messages."
"I’m fine over here; don’t worry. Just remember to have a hearty lunch and not to skip meals because of your figure, okay?"
Every word that Zhang Hao said penetrated deeply into He Qianhui’s heart.
"Okay, I know. I’m going to eat lunch now."
After a brief chat, Zhang Hao also tossed his phone aside, as Lin Wan had specially brought him lunch.
"The cafeteria made something you love today, so I got you some extra. No need to thank me."
Although he had been intentionally trying to distance himself from Lin Wan over the past few days,
he couldn’t find a second person in the department who truly understood him, apart from Lin Wan.
"Still, thank you."
"Why thank me? It was just a small effort."
He had only eaten half of his meal when a patient rushed in hurriedly.
It clearly wasn’t the consultation time, but with the patient right there, Zhang Hao couldn’t just ignore them.
He pushed his lunchbox aside and started his busy work again.
Once he got busy, it lasted until it was time to leave.
Today was a bit out of the ordinary, though.
He Qianhui came to pick him up after work, and his superiors couldn’t very well keep him from leaving.
Fortunately, just before closing time, there were no more patients on Zhang Hao’s end.
However, Lin Wan still felt uncomfortable when she saw He Qianhui.
She had also seen that post in Zhang Hao’s friends’ circle yesterday.
It was quite clear that the two of them were boyfriend and girlfriend, and if things continued to develop, they were likely to become husband and wife.
But no matter whether they were boyfriend and girlfriend or husband and wife, she no longer had a chance.
"You only ate this much for lunch. How can your body handle it? Tonight, I’ll cook some good dishes for you, eat more."
He Qianhui purposefully said this, regardless of whether Lin Wan could hear or not, she had to show her love for Zhang Hao.
"Alright, the patients were unusually numerous today; I hardly had time to eat. Tonight, I need to eat two big bowls of rice."
Zhang Hao responded, and after packing up his things, he left the department with He Qianhui by his side.
Qin Miaoke had also been intentionally maintaining her distance from Zhang Hao these past couple of days.
"Lin Wan, look at our Mr. Zhang, he’s also a good man."
Qin Miaoke said he was a good man, but Lin Wan didn’t think so and just gave a cold laugh.
"You say he’s a good man now only because you don’t understand him. If you really knew him, you’d know he’s nothing but a beast in human clothing."
Qin Miaoke looked at Lin Wan in surprise; she remembered the times when the two of them were very affectionate with each other.
Back then, Lin Wan didn’t seem to talk about him this way.
Could it be that something happened in between, causing her impression of Zhang Hao to change dramatically?
It must be so, but Qin Miaoke still envied He Qianhui.
