Chapter 207: Chapter 204: The Master’s Granddaughter

Lin Wan stood outside the door, listening to the conversation between the two, and it was her first time realizing that Zhang Hao seemed to really be a bit strict.

And it didn’t seem like he was faking it.

Eventually, Xia Jing, wiping tears from her eyes, came out of the office and when she bumped into Lin Wan, she glared at her fiercely.

"Was it you, was it you, speaking ill of me in front of Mr. Zhang?"

Lin Wan felt that her accusation was somewhat baffling.

"There’s a head for every wrong and a debtor for each debt. Zhang Hao is the head of our department; he has the right to let you come and go freely.

"I certainly can’t control that. If you have any issues you can’t accept, go find him instead of targeting me."

Lin Wan had never been one to be pushed around easily, and she knew when Xia Jing came over that this would not be an easy matter to handle.

But she wasn’t one to be conservative with fuel either.

In the end, Xia Jing left the department of traditional Chinese medicine and returned to her previous position in the surgical clinic.

However, Zhang Hao had given her enough face and didn’t reveal the real reason for her transfer.

As for Nurse Chen, she later sought out Zhang Hao to inquire about what had happened.

In front of Nurse Chen, however, Zhang Hao told the truth.

Nurse Chen was quite surprised, "Is this girl really that cunning? It seems I was nearly deceived by her. Well, it’s all for the best."

"Nurse Chen, the next time you participate in hiring nurses, could you please ensure their background is thoroughly checked so we don’t recruit someone whose heart isn’t in their work," he said.

Chen Li quickly shook her head and said, "Recruitment isn’t in my hands; you should talk to the leadership about that."

"But the girl does have good professional skills. I hope she can shine in the surgical clinic."

In preparation for the city competition, Zhang Hao only held consultations for half a day for the past few days.

The other half of the day, he would dedicate to studying alone.

While studying, he didn’t forget to discuss treatments with the master he had later taken up with.

After a few exchanges, that master actually played his trump card on Zhang Hao.

"It just so happens that my granddaughter is also in her internship period. Why not let her help you out during the competition? She could also intern at your hospital for two months."

Hearing his master say this, Zhang Hao was pleasantly surprised.

"Master, you flatter me too much with your words. Our little hospital really isn’t worthy of such a grand presence."

"No worries, with a good disciple like you there, I think my granddaughter will improve rapidly. Who knows, after these two months, this old man might even hear some good news," his master replied.

Zhang Hao didn’t catch the hint about what ’good news’ meant.

But the next afternoon, a young and stylish girl found Zhang Hao.

At first, Zhang Hao thought she was a patient coming to the hospital and asked her to wait for a moment.

After attending to the last patient, the girl revealed her true identity and her intentions.

"You’re Zhang Hao, right? My grandpa sent me to find you. He said you could arrange an internship for me. Is that true?" she asked.

Upon hearing her speak, Zhang Hao instantly knew who she was.

He just hadn’t expected her to arrive so quickly.

"I can’t arrange it today; the earliest would be tomorrow. Where are you staying for the time being?" he inquired.

"My grandpa rented a place for me nearby. I’ll head there in a bit. If you’re willing to help, you can come along. I don’t have much luggage," she said.

In the afternoon, with nothing else to do, Zhang Hao offered to help his teacher’s granddaughter Qin Miaoke move in.

She said she didn’t have much luggage, but that was probably not a lot in her eyes. For Zhang Hao, it meant several trips up and down to move all the stuff in the car.

But the teacher really did dote on his granddaughter.

Even though she was only going to live here for two months, he still rented a large three-bedroom apartment for her. She wasn’t scared to live in such a big place alone?

However, Zhang Hao also realized another issue; the apartment he and He Qianhui lived in was indeed a bit too small.

Maybe they should improve their living conditions.

Qin Miaoke saw Zhang Hao standing in the middle of the living room, staring blankly.

She hopped over and said, "Hey, what are you looking at? I didn’t buy this place; my grandpa rented it for me. Didn’t he tell you?"

Zhang Hao didn’t pry too much into such detailed matters, but his master had already explained it on the phone.

"I know, I’m just thinking that a big apartment like this seems a bit wasteful for one person or maybe I could also rent a set here. How much is the rent?"

"I don’t know, my grandpa paid for it. If you’re curious, you can ask him," she replied.

To bother his master over such a trivial matter, Zhang Hao shook his head.

"I’ve moved all your things up here, you can arrange the rest by yourself. I still need to prepare for the traditional Chinese medicine competition in the city in a few days."

When Qin Miaoke heard Zhang Hao was leaving, she quickly stopped him: "No, no, you can’t go. I have so much stuff. How am I supposed to deal with it all by myself? It would take forever."

"Help me organize things, and I’ll treat you to dinner tonight to make up for it."

After speaking, Qin Miaoke dragged a large suitcase in the direction of the bedroom.

Qin Miaoke returned to the bedroom, opened the suitcase, and it was filled with her personal clothing.

Zhang Hao only glanced out of the corner of his eye and was amazed.

For just two months, did she really need to bring so many clothes?

Besides, there were a few large cardboard boxes, with contents unknown.

"You’re only here for two months, but you brought so many things."

"Who said I’m only staying for two months? If I do well during my internship at your hospital, I might just stay," she retorted.

Zhang Hao thought Qin Miaoke was exaggerating, "With a grandmaster like your grandpa, you are his granddaughter; you surely wouldn’t want to stay in a small hospital like this, right?"

"For me, as long as I can heal people and save lives, it’s the same wherever I am. Moreover, you’re my grandpa’s disciple."

"You working here proves this hospital is not bad at all. Hey, come on and give me a hand."

Qin Miaoke coyly clung to Zhang Hao’s arm and dragged him towards the bedroom.

In this way, Zhang Hao couldn’t escape the heavy responsibility.

Seeing Qin Miaoke’s suitcase full of underwear and several sets of clothes,

Zhang Hao’s face immediately turned red: "These are your personal clothes; you should organize them yourself. I’ll open the other boxes for you."

"It’s okay, I’m not that fussy. Besides, it’s not like men don’t know that women wear underwear. Come on, help me hang these up."

Qin Miaoke then took out a thick stack of various women’s bras from the suitcase.

She also handed a whole bunch of unopened hangers to Zhang Hao.

If it weren’t for living with He Qianhui for a while and learning how to hang these.

Zhang Hao would have been completely clueless.

After organizing everything, Qin Miaoke looked up and said, "Wow, not bad at all. But how does a big guy like you know so much about this sort of thing?"

Zhang Hao coughed and cleared his throat, "Back when I was in school, I lived at my cousin’s house, and I remembered how my sister-in-law hung them up a few times."
