Chapter 169: Chapter 167: Not Convenient Today

"She is just that kind of person, she doesn’t think before speaking," Yu Wei said, and then the car fell silent.

"She said you’re someone who doesn’t want to find a boyfriend, so why did you ask me to pretend to be your boyfriend in a setting like today’s?"

Yu Wei hadn’t thought about this question before, but now that Zhang Hao was asking, she had to quickly concoct a lie in her mind.

"I indeed don’t want to find a boyfriend, and that’s because I think no man is worthy of me."

"The ones I like don’t fancy me, and those who do, I don’t fancy them."

"Stuck in the middle, I’m never comfortable, so I simply decided not to look for a boyfriend at all."

Zhang Hao had never heard such a thing before, but he thought Yu Wei was still very sober-minded.

These days, it’s rare to find a woman as clear-headed as her.

"In that case, Miss Yu doesn’t dislike me, and actually regards me highly."

Yu Wei didn’t respond, but instead, the atmosphere in the car became even more ambiguous.

"Is it not cold enough? Why do I feel so hot?" Yu Wei muttered softly.

But the air conditioning was already at its lowest setting; it couldn’t get any colder.

Zhang Hao discreetly checked the time.

"We should call a designated driver."

However, in this luxury sports car, there was no extra seat to accommodate three people.

If they really called for a designated driver, it would mean that Zhang Hao had to make his way home on his own.

Both of them had happened to drink a little at today’s birthday gathering.

"Doctor Zhang, thank you for pretending to be my boyfriend today. I will visit my aunt at the hospital tomorrow."

Zhang Hao nodded and without saying much, tactfully got out of the car.

Leaving Yu Wei alone in the car.

A taxi soon arrived, and Zhang Hao flagged it down. The driver didn’t know any better; as soon as the passenger got in, he asked for the destination.

Zhang Hao thought it over and remembered He Qianhui, then gave out her address.

Upon arrival, He Qianhui was already waiting downstairs.

Still in that peach-colored nightgown, the flimsy garment could hardly conceal her alluring figure.

When Zhang Hao got out of the car, he noticed that the driver’s eyes were fixed on He Qianhui.

"Buddy, that’s my girlfriend. Can you keep your eyes to yourself?"

The driver uttered a couple of acknowledgments, then turned to Zhang Hao and said, "Bro, you’re quite the lucky man, it’s hard to find a woman like that even with a lantern, but you also gotta practice moderation, don’t knock yourself out while you’re young."

No sooner had these words left the driver’s mouth than Zhang Hao raised his hand, ready to hit him, but eventually he let the thought go and just paid the fare.

Supported by He Qianhui, the two of them entered the building.

"What have you been up to, drinking so much?"

Zhang Hao shook his head: "Not much, just two drinks."

He Qianhui saw it with her eyes, felt the pain in her heart, helped him home, and then hurriedly started cooking him a sobering soup.

When the sobering soup was ready, she found that Zhang Hao had already fallen asleep on the couch.

He Qianhui shook her head helplessly and placed the bowl of soup on the coffee table.

"How could you fall asleep here?"

She exerted all her strength, equal to that of nine bulls and two tigers, to move Zhang Hao to the bed.

However, He Qianhui had underestimated Zhang Hao’s weight.

As she was about to lay him down on the bed, she stumbled and fell right on top of him.

He Qianhui was somewhat panicked, but she was very happy tonight, especially after hearing Zhang Hao say, "That’s my girlfriend."

He Qianhui had never thought that a woman like her, who had already been married once,

could still gain the recognition of another man.

Sometimes, she even mocked herself as a "half-old mistress."

But when she looked at her age, she was clearly still young, struggling to accept that at this age, she had already married and divorced.

Their bodies pressed close, and He Qianhui felt the warmth, or rather the scorching heat, of Zhang Hao’s body.

Having not seen him for several days, he filled her mind ever since Liu Gang signed that divorce agreement.

He was no longer around here, but had gone to the south to work, and she guessed it would be at least a year and a half before he returned.

So He Qianhui believed that her good life had finally arrived.

"Hao, Hao, let me go quickly, you can’t sleep this way."

Zhang Hao, half-asleep and half-awake, only smelled a very pleasant fragrance.

His hands began to wander, groping over that full and smooth body.

As he touched, He Qianhui felt a chilling sensation on her buttocks and thighs, her eyes carrying a hint of reproach as she looked at Zhang Hao.

"You rascal, you’re asleep and still not keeping your hands to yourself."

He Qianhui wanted to arrange her nightgown, at least to cover her buttocks properly.

But before her hand could reach, Zhang Hao’s large hands had already, touched her delicate waist.

That was what He Qianhui couldn’t stand the most.

If Zhang Hao’s hand were to move down against her skin.

It meant he was going to slide his hand into her panties.

But today was the third day of her period, and it was inconvenient to do ’that’.

After finally positioning Zhang Hao’s body properly, He Qianhui was already tired and sweating profusely, feeling sticky all over.

She had no choice but to take another hot shower in the bathroom.

After a night’s ordeal, it was nearly dawn when He Qianhui managed to get some sleep.

However, she only slept for a little over an hour before having to get up for work.

Taking the luggage she’d packed ahead of time, she left after washing up, dragging her suitcase behind her.

When Zhang Hao woke up, he found himself in He Qianhui’s rented apartment.

Mainly because in such a small room, he couldn’t find her anywhere.

After getting up, Zhang Hao noticed the note she’d left on the table.

The content was simple, merely stating that she’d gone on a business trip and probably wouldn’t return for about a week.

Upon seeing the note, Zhang Hao immediately called He Qianhui.

"Why didn’t you wake me up to help with the luggage when leaving so early for a business trip?"

He Qianhui laughed on the other end, "I had packed everything for the trip early on, all in the suitcase."

"I didn’t want to wake you since you were sleeping so soundly this morning. Have you woken up now?"

"I’m about to board the plane soon, and it’s not convenient to talk on the phone, so if you have anything to say, say it now."

Actually, at this moment, Zhang Hao didn’t really have anything specific to say.

He just instinctively felt the need to call He Qianhui.

"Just be careful on your business trip, better safe than sorry. If anything happens, call me immediately, and I’ll rush over."

After hanging up, Zhang Hao went to the kitchen, opened the refrigerator, and found some wontons that had been wrapped in advance.

He Qianhui’s wontons were something Zhang Hao always craved.

Taking a few, he boiled them in a small pot of water, but by the time he served them, they had turned into noodle soup, still, they tasted good.

After having his fill, Zhang Hao went to the hospital. Xu Mi’s condition was recovering well, but Zhang Hao was not her attending doctor.

So it was quite normal for him to stop by for a quick visit before heading back to his department.

After returning, Zhang Hao suddenly remembered something that Yu Wei seemed to have told him the night before.

She had mentioned she was going to visit her aunt today - what could this statement possibly imply?

Zhang Hao pondered but couldn’t figure it out, yet around noon, Yu Wei walked straight into his department.

Like an old friend not seen in a long time, she took a seat naturally across from his desk.

"Doctor Zhang, I’m not feeling well, please have a look at me."
