Upon arriving at the hospital, Zhang Hao quickly got out of the car, "Thanks, I have to head to work now."
The girl also hopped out of the car quickly, "Doctor Zhang, since you work at this hospital, could you do me a favor?"

Glancing at the time, Zhang Hao’s eyes widened in an instant— he was actually twenty minutes late.
While changing clothes, Lin Wan came over to Zhang Hao and sniffed him.
"Such a strong perfume scent. Where did you go last night? You must have been having fun with some other woman."
"Are you a dog’s nose? To even smell the perfume on me is rather absurd."

Just as Zhang Hao was about to retort, his phone went ding-dong incessantly. He took it out to find messages from the hospital staff group.

Upon opening the photo, he saw it was of him getting out of Yu Wei’s car.
The person who posted the photo was a female nurse from the hospital.

"But speaking of which, who’s the person in that car, driving you to work so early in the morning?"

"Her aunt is in our hospital. Last night I and some friends attended an event where we ended up saving someone,"
Although this excuse sounded quite plausible, upon closer scrutiny it was still somewhat unconvincing.

No sooner had she finished speaking than the delivery guy called, and Xu Mi immediately dashed out to get it.
A few minutes later, she hurried back.
Zhang Hao glanced at it. It must be a fast-food restaurant’s combo meal, with a drumstick, braised pork, and a stir-fried shrimp dish, along with a bottle of beverage.
"How much was it? I’ll transfer the money to you. You interns don’t earn much,"
But Xu Mi flatly refused, "No need, it’s just a meal. I can afford that."
"I just need Doctor Zhang to do me a favor later."
If it hadn’t been for Xu Mi’s previous behavior,
Zhang Hao would have agreed readily, but now he had to be more cautious.
"Alright, what do you need?"
"I got a boyfriend a couple of days ago, and this morning I was in such a rush that I left something inside my body,"
"Could you help me remove it later? I’m afraid it could be dangerous if it stays in too long."
As soon as Xu Mi said this, Zhang Hao knew what she meant by "something," and immediately rejected her request.
"Let Nurse Lin take care of it later. It’s not proper for men and women to touch each other like that; since she’s a woman, you shouldn’t mind."
Xu Mi didn’t get angry but leaned in close to Zhang Hao and whispered,
"If Doctor Zhang helps me with it, I won’t refuse."
He had anticipated Xu Mi would say this, so Zhang Hao was already on guard.
"Forget it, let Nurse Lin handle it. If it’s really not possible, you could go to surgery,"
"Just find any doctor to help you remove it. And thanks for ordering the meal, but I prefer something lighter."
Zhang Hao didn’t open the combo meal; he gave it back to Xu Mi untouched and went to the cafeteria with his lunchbox.
On the way, Zhang Hao ran into Lin Wan, who was returning after getting her food.
"Why are you getting food at this hour? The cafeteria is already out of food."
Zhang Hao paused for two seconds.
"Luckily, I got a bit extra today. I’ll share some with you."
Zhang Hao didn’t refuse, and the two shared a box of food. During the meal,
he told Lin Wan about Xu Mi’s actions. He had expected her to be surprised, but she was quite calm.
"Seeing two young girls fighting over you should make you happy, so why do you look so worried?"
After finishing the last bite of his meal, Zhang Hao said, "You know they’re just young girls, and I’m an adult now."
"If I continue to mess around with them, what would I become? It’s a shame that they were brought in by the leaders for internship."
